I work next door to a sports stadium, like meters away.. On a day, there was sport on, and of course they sell local fav's like boerie rolls, burgers, bunnies, you know.. I was just craving a stadium burger, something about how it is cooked, it is just better than home, craving....But I could not go, I was busy all day...
So here I read of the draconian measures taking by Las Vegas goons to prevent "free" viewing.. But what the goons fail to grasp, is that free comes at a price.. You cannot access things like food/drink/shirt/underwear buying places if you are outside...2nd, F1 is 100% about brands, and the more eyes on an event, the better...
You see the brand names plastered on everything, even the meat in the seats, have 10 or more brands on their jacket fronts.. Some muppet on SkyF1. sleeves, jacket front, 15 different brands...
So if a couple hundred folks see 1% of the race, 20 cars, for 2 or 3 seconds a lap, from a bridge, that justifies the goon squad going all bananas over blocking 100% free viewing? Maybe I don't get it...
There is something about being at the venue.. I watched some random youtuber fly to to one of the Mid East races, and even though he did not have the best seats, he claimed he had a great time, showed off the facilities for fans, and how great they were.. F1 is different to Cricket/Rugby, I so enjoy going to watch cricket at the stadium, the food does taste better, at least the burgers and bunnies do..
