What kind of powerplants do these vintage cars have?
They are running as the original cars :) So all different from different times. I don't know whether the "circus" comes to the USA, but here they go all over Europe.

The lady in the photo above is Lorina McLaughlin - https://www.lorina-racing-f1-benetton.co.uk/meet-lorina

Masters Historic Racing is also a great event with some real legends - https://mastershistoricracing.com/race-series/masters-racing-legends

All cars must be presented with a current FIA Historic Technical Passport and be presented in that specification.

Naturally I'll go to Zandvoort, and Silverstone. But I'm trying to go to Hockenheim in Germany this year as well. Will be a nice little drive. https://mastershistoricracing.com/events-and-results/hockenheimring-2025

The FIA has truly gone off the rails now. They have implemented new rules to punish drivers who "discredit the FIA".
  • The first offense could bring a fine up to 10.000 euro.
  • The second offense could bring a fine up to 20.000 euro with a suspended 1 month suspension.
  • The third offense could bring a 30.000 euro fine, a 1 month suspension and a points reduction.
These rules apply to all FIA-sanctioned motorsports and in the case of F1, could be quadrupled depending on the severity of the "discrediting".

Worse than kindergarten.

I thought the previous dictator was bad enough, Bernie whathisname..The bloke that had issues with rotating doors, but this new bloke, call a spade a damn spade, this is the introduction of a not so subtle form of Sharia Law.. Next ban any alcohol beverages.. F1 has been killed by this toxic dose of idiotic doctrine.. Graveyard dead.. It ceases to represent anything viable.. Now it is just a race to the demise!!! All teams bought this? Not a single team/driver or Principle is going to stand up, be the adult, sue?? Sue..she died..

F1 needs to rekindle the process of severing from the FIA and going with another regulatory body, of which I'm not certain. MBS is an out of control maniac. I'd rather have Bernie than this control freak.

FIA, Farce in Action? Clearly someone woke up one day after way too many 0.0% and hated life, and decided that swearing was just way too bad.. What that muppet has decided is that if you do 24mph in 23 mph zone, you are going to do 2 yrs at Princess Charle's pleasure.. That is just insane.. 2 yrs for 1mph over the limit..

What the FIA is proposing is overkill, ok, at best fines, or maybe a stop n go for 5 seconds.. But a driving ban? That just has no value.. It is punishment for no valid cause.. It should be in line with the crime.. We don't hand out 25 yr prison terms for a stupid crime like farting in traffic court.. £20 to the local charity, fine.. but 20 yrs in HMS Hell.. But the Farce in Action believe in 20 yrs in HMS Hell for farting is a valid sentence???

A bad day for F1.. F1 is becoming a diseased dying bloated hot stinky rotting carcass of zero relevance..
With some tinpot dictator very slowly introducing Sharia into motorsport.. And it is very obvious who and where motorsport is governed, who owns it...

SwearGate has nothing to do with swearing, that is a red herring, a smokescreen, a sleight of hand to confuse the real war in the FIA.. The very same war that plagues Golf and other events..2 centres of power...

This Johnny Herbert has nothing to do with what he did, or who he is.. Nothing.. it could have been some marshall, or some typist in the FIA pool.. No.. don't be fooled by the sexy headlines, read between the lines...

Jos Verstappen has been applying a lot of pressure behind the scenes to get Herbert removed as he was very unhappy with the two 10 second penalties Max recieved in Mexico for twice forcing Norris off the circuit according to rumours. The FIA also didn't like Herbert giving public opinions as a pundit, which I sort of understand, but I think the FIA have come out of this looking rather weak. This whole continental media and Red Bull driven bandwagon of 'British Bias' has also added a narrative to proceedings and it seems Herbert's nationality fell victim to this too as it was felt any decision made against a driver that isn't British, was open to scruntiny, ignoring the penalties British drivers get of course.

I thought he was pretty decent as a steward and we were seeing some consistency again and a tougher stance on missing braking points with competitors alongside, whilst pretending it was a genuine mistake. It'll be interesting to see who his replacement or replacements are. I think some would be happy if it is indeed Jos 'The Boss' himself and I would not be at all surprised with Mohammed Ben Sulayem in charge. Another day in the soap opera that is 'Liberty F1'.

Jos is unhappy period, he would complain about the quality of the air at every venue, about the quality of sheets in hotels, the man is just unhappy that he never amounted to anything..[Championships 0, wins 0]

Maybe Johnny should have asked if could run his mouth in the media.. I think he should..
I don't think his firing has anything to do with his media work, his choice of underwear, or Jos's views..

The FIA want to control and have "yes" men in certain roles, that fills their mandate, I think this is more about politics, the very same that has ruined golf, cricket, rugby and every other professional sport just about...

This is LIV golf v The PGA.. No question.. this has nothing to do with Johhny Herbert, even if he was a Japanase or Malaysian or New Zealander, it was about his position, the tinpot dictator wants to hire his own man.. and now he can.. Those that supported Johnny's firing just supported openly the demise of independence of the FIA..

To me, Lewis just doesn’t look right in that bright red Ferrari racing overall? So used to seeing him in other colours. Wonder where he will come this year, how long he’ll stick at it for?

The way the world is going on some places, especially where I live, I’m not surprised by this at all.

He never had, and definitely does not now have that kind of cloud.

Johnny Herbert displayed bias, had conflicting interest with a betting company. Sacked from Sky, sacked from the FIA. And Lola Cars is silly to get themselves associated with him.

If you don't display bias, then that is a problem, known bias is easy to deal with, the hidden bias, the bias of the tinpot dictator should be more of a concern than that of some low ranking official.. Really getting knotted knickers over some ex employee of the Farce In Action.. I don't get it.. I am more concerned going forward about any very obvious bias the new employee of the FIA will enforce on the season..

It will take a bit of getting used to, but I remember thinking the same when he went from McLaren to Mercedes. A few races in and it'll seem normal again I think.

I think He'll race for another 2 seasons and pick up maybe 6-8 wins over that time and retire happy and fulfilled.

I wonder what muppet will win the goof of the year award, that precious prize that goes to the dumb driver that pulls into the wrong pitbox

I reckon Lewis will do that like he did before after leaving McLaren, that would be funny after 12 years looking for black, grey and turquoise overalls. Hopefully not at a crucial stop though. Sainz could also do this quite easily.

I think Lewis looks very smart in red. Great shot by Puma. I honestly hope he, and Ferrari, does really well this year. Same for Alonso and Aston Martin. And it goes without saying for me for Max and Red Bull :)

Fingers crossed for another decent battle this year again. Before the 2026 season where who knows what will happen. I think unreliability will rear its ugly head again.

FIA will enforce tougher flexi wing tests from the Spanish Grand Prix in June.

McLaren and Mercedes were early adopters of more flexible wings, with Ferrari and Red Bull holding back due to questioning the legality of them. Once the FIA signed off, Ferrari and Red Bull invested in them (which may help explain Max's return to form).

McLaren is said to be in favor of the new rule as they have identified and remediated the issues they were having with their front wing design and therefore feel denying them to everyone else is likely a bigger benefit to them.
