That Ugreen thing supports 15v/2A as well, and other modes. Sorry, I did not provide complete specs initially as only 3A concerned me.

Thanks for the quick replys! :)

It's worth trying it out I guess, just make sure you use Apple's official USB-C to Lightning cable. No other cable currently supports charging the iPad Pro @ 29W/30W.

Thanks! Still kind of confused about the specifications - all those 3rd party chargers are 15v not 14.5v as well.
[doublepost=1502951349][/doublepost]P.S. Didn't know that third party usb-c/lightning cables are not capable of fast charging...

Is it safe to charge an iPhone with this kind of setup, or an original 29w usb-c charger?

Apple page says - any usb-c enabled device. A bit confusing... What is an usb-c enabled device? A device which has usb-c port?

Pretty sure iPhone charging should be safe. Circuitry in the lightning connector should regulate the maximum power the iPhone can receive - of course this assumes you're using a genuine Apple / MFi Cable.

Which Apple page are you referring to?

Is there a car adapter that supports fast charging?

In theory something like this should work: https://www.amazon.com/GearMo-Delivery-Charger-Laptops-Approved/dp/B07115BLPP - because it supports 15V/3A output (only 2A will be used when charging the iPad Pro).

What's listed on paper may not actually be supported though, so someone has to try it out.

iPhones charge fine with a 29w charger. It just lowers the voltage to 5v like an iPhone/iPad charger.

I only find the us plug version of the anker 30w USB-c charger .Is there any eu plug type or should I just buy the us one and a eu plug adapter?

Sorry to resurrect the thread, but with the new iPhones supporting fast charge, have any USB-C to Lightning cables been confirmed to work to fast charge?

I've been using the official Apple usb-c to lightning cable. Confirmed to work as long as whatever it is connected to supports fast charging/has the proper power.

I've got both the Apple 29w charger and the USB-C cable, and have been charging my iPad Pro with it for over a year. But now with the new iPhones I'd like to get a couple more chargers and cables. I know we can use the discussed charger but I'd like to know if any 3rd party cables have yet been confirmed to work.

Did another test yesterday with the AUKEY green AI port charger:

90 minutes gave me 21% --> 68%

110 minutes gave me 21% --> 78%

I think it's charging as fast as the 29W, maybe someone can confirm.

That rate doesn't looks like fast charging to me...

with iOS 11, intro of 8/8+ having fast charge, really glad I spent the extra $5 (second hand OEM 29w on eBay) over ANker to make sure Apple doesn't cripple or block the Anker, or anything shady like that.

$5 well spent for peace of mind, especially since I think I Paid like $35 or something absurd for the 2m lightning to usb-c some time ago,

Here's the updated info with the first Anker charger I received:

28% @ 9:19 30.6w
42% @ 9:32 31.0w
47% @ 9:35 starts trickling down from 30.0w
50% @ 9:37 27.0w still reducing
53% @ 9:42. had to run out.. disconnected power…
53% @ 12:11 22.0w
71% @ 12:31 18.0w
85% @ 12:51 28.0w
87% @ 12:54 17.5w
88% @ 12:55:32 17.0w
88% @ 12:56:30 16.0w
89% @ 12:57:48 15.0w
89% @ 12:58:58 14.0w
90% @ 1:00:21 13.0w
91% @ 1:02:10 12.0w
92% @ 1:03:55 10.0w
93% @ 1:06:53 9.0w
94% @ 1:09:15 8.0w
94% @ 1:12:12 7.0w
95% @ 1:15:25 6.0w
96% @ 1:19:46 5.0w
97% @ 1:26:15 4.0w
98% @ 1:27:28 3.8-.9w
98% @ 1:35:15 3.0w
99% @ 1:36:16 2.9w
100% @ 1:39:23 2.4w

took 4 mins after 100% for it to sit at 0-0.5w

Interesting for sure. It took both chargers 24mins give or take seconds, to get from 95% to 100%.

111mins +/- for Anker to get from 28% to 100%.

116mins +/- for the Apple 29w to get from 36% to 100%.

Please double check my math though. With my TBI, I have difficulties with simple math.

Hi sorry to dig out this thread , I have a question will iPad Pro 10.5 with Apple usb c to lighting cable with anker http://a.co/0p2hKmt
USB Type-C, Anker Premium 5-Port 60W USB Wall Charger PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with Power Delivery for Apple ) work?
Also with the same usb c port using the same cable I can charge iPhone at 2.1 or 2.4A?

I originally did try this in April 2016 and it didn’t work. However, it may now work with the newer iPad Pros - I’d need to buy and test it again though. Let me see what I can do...

If not able to fast charge I’ll just buy and use it as a “normal” 5V charger for iPhone ... actually already shipping out from amazon. Also ordered the cable from Apple .

I tried the UK version in June with the 10.5 Pro and it didn’t fast charge.

So annoying this is the perfect charger but there is no point buying it until its compatible with the iPad Pro.

Hopefully this will be fixed in time for Christmas.

Anybody using anker 30w charger noticed decrease in battery life?My battery life dropped to %95 ,i used my ipad %40-80 all the time and 22 cycles at all

Just bought the Anker linked in this post. Tried OEM Apple USBC to lighting and Leonis usb-C to lightning. Both cables with Anker charged less %/min than the stock 12W charger. Having trouble believing your "facts" here...now I have returns to make.

The power supplied to the iPad after 90% can never exceed 12W, but unfortunately this also means that your iPad could possibly discharge after 90% even when connected to a full power 29W adapter.
It shouldn't. The charge flowing into the battery should clearly be limited to what's good for the battery, but charge can bypass the battery completely to supply the iPad with power.

Yep, that exact one. Got .4%/min on stock got .35%/min Anker.

Well this is contrary to not only my experience but multiple other people in this thread. It's unfortunate you're not getting the same experience, but I can guarantee that your Leonis USB-C to Lightning cable will not work. Did you buy the Apple USB-C to Lightning cable on Amazon? I'm not sure if you might have unintentionally bought a "fake" one? This can be an issue if it is not fulfilled by Amazon.
