Eerily quiet this morning..![]()
This is the most ridiculous thing ever! O2 have not just dropped the ball but never even had it in their hands.News is there's no news
There is actually news. They received some stock and already allocated it. People on other forums had their 7+ 128GB black orders ready for dispatch today for example. Not many though.
EDIT: tried Live Chat to see what the current blurb is. It's the same as the text:
“We are sorry to say that we have still not received your new iPhone. We realise how frustrating this news will be and we’ll continue to work with Apple to get you your new iPhone as soon as we can. We’ll update you again on Thursday, or sooner if we receive news.”
Just received this from head of complaints. Have to wait and see if theres any truth behind it. Unless she's reading from the same script they're given on live chat.

At least you guys are getting these txts, I have not heard a damned thing from O2, despite being told I would yesterday, useless. Thing is O2 have customers over a barrel. They know we want these phones and are not going to risk losing our place in the reservation order.
Useless official update from O2's community guy:
Update as of 10:00 20/09/2016 - We're yet to receive detail on the delivery of the outstanding stock required to complete all our pre-orders. Affected customers remain our priority and we'll continue to work with Apple to get customers their new iPhones as soon as possible.
Apple has always preferred O2 since the start so do not see that as the issue. However EE seem to have received a shipment yesterday.... so why haven't O2. Do Apple just not like them?
Apple has always preferred O2 since the start so do not see that as the issue.
O2 iPhone 7 deals are truely a rip off especially if you buy a phone outright as they charge £100 more than Apple do. Carphone warehouse appear to get you a quicker and better O2 deal than O2 directly.
I just went into the O2 store in Maidenhead to ask about stock, the staff in there were so rude and unhelpful! I am on the "new phone on us" 30gb tariff and I explained this to the guy in there and that I was wondering when I might be able to get my hands on a 7+, I was nice as I could be and don't see why I should have been treated like this
ME: I'm on the 30gb "new phone on us" tariff and I know that stock of the iPhone 7 are low, I was just wondering whether you got daily deliveries of them to sell in the store and if it was worth me popping in a few times after 25th September to see if you had any?
O2: We're not getting any until the end of November
ME: That's quite a long time isn't it, is that for all the iPhones or just the Plus?
O2: End of November for all of them
ME: Ok, is it best to call a store to see if you've got the handsets on a particular day?
O2: I've got a 7 and a 7+ here that you can look at if you like, but you can't have one
ME: No thanks, not if I can't have one. The phone shop next door has quite a few of the 7's in but no plusses, would you just be able to call and check if you're going to get in any soon please as the shops round here seem to be getting deliveries?
O2: You call them if you want to speak to them [he then throws the shop phone onto the counter]
After that I left the store, I don't appreciate being treated like that. It also got me wondering why O2 are getting stock it seems like later than everybody else? Maybe credit problems as they recently tried to sell the company didn't they?
Same boat here. O2 has treated the refresh customers disgracefully. All that sales talk last year and now they don't give a damn about us and refuse to even discuss the upgrade until the 25th. They knew how many customers had been promised this upgrade but when it came to it they are pretending we don't exist. They don't even respond on twitter. They know we are stuck on the contract for another year - now even longer as no phones allocated to us. If this was an honourable company they would have allowed us to pre-order our upgrade. O2 forget though that people have a long memory and will never trust this company again. I know first world problems and so on but it is infuriating at their lack of interest in their loyal customers over new ones!
