Couldnt get Cydia to even open on my 4S. Rebooted the phone and its opening now, but I keep getting refresh and internal service 500 errors. Was hoping things would be closer to being resolved today but looks like I might have to wait a couple more days.

Nightmare

iPad 3 won't connect to cellular data. Or rather, it cycles between saying it's on 3G (yet with possibly sub-EDGE speeds) and displaying the little blank circle, or simply saying "Searching…" (in the latter two cases, trying to go anywhere in Safari gets the error that the iPad is not connected at all.)

I've called Verizon support, but they couldn't find anything wrong on their end. And on my end I've tried everything I could think of - DFU restore, reset all content and settings, iTunes restore, reset network settings, reprovision account, toggle on/off LTE/cell data/wifi, restore from backup (both iCloud and on disk).

I have AppleCare Plus, but I don't want to deal with any guff for jailbreaking. Kind of freaking out though, because my Twitter and Google searching would seem to indicate that this is not a widespread problem.

Any ideas? :(

I am running 5.0.1. Will I have to update to 5.1.1 and then jailbreak or can I run the jailbreak and then install. Will I have to do a fresh restore and install? What is the easiest way?

this has been covered literally a million times, but the easiest way is to restore to a new 5.1.1 then jailbreak, then set up everything

I'm one of those last minute iOS update people after a JB comes out. Little did I know that Apple updated the iOS 5.1.1 from build (9B206) to (9B208) yesterday. I was bummed to find out that Absinthe 2.0 or 2.0.1 doesn't work with build (9B208), and got the "Sorry, attached device is not supported." error message.:(

I was able to download 5.1.1(9B206) restore .ipsw file for a iPhone 4 GSM on iClarified's website, and restored to the (9B206) build. After I did that, I was able to JB with Absinthe 2.0.1. Some of the instructions out there says if you have issues, restore to the latest 5.1.1... from what I experienced last night... it didn't work to well for me.

Worst Jailbreak Ever

After jailbreaking my iPhone from the very FIRST iPhone & jailbreak until now...I have never ever had a problem. Now, I cannot even get green poison to recognize my device and after redownloading everything umpteen million times green failure continues to say my device is NOT supported...KISS MY ARS!!! I am so friggin pissed:mad::mad::mad:

There are so many do this and do that and nothing friggin works...what a failure!!! Giving it one more go and then will just say frak it, go back to tethered and sit there until they can get this crap right:mad:

Damn sneaky (and a bit underhanded) of Apple to slip in that update just to screw with all the folks lined up to JB (me included - that little move cost me an afternoon baby sitting several wiping/updating/restores until I got the combination right to work).

I just jailbroke my iPhone 4 GSM on 5.1.1, the phone is now jailbroke, but all my pictures from my camera roll is missing.

I checked my usage and clearly the pictures are still physically stored in my phone but they are just not showing up.

Anyone else having the same problem?

i noticed this on my iPod touch, wasnt sure if the Jailbreak removed the pics or me upgrading to 5.1.1

If you read my post right above your post, I had the same issue. The jailbreak sort of isn't the problem. It checks for build (9B206), but Apple did a sneaky thing and changed the build (9B208) yesterday after the Jailbreak was released, which gives you the error (Sorry, attached device is not supported) when you run Absinthe 2.0 or 2.0.1. All I did was download the .ipsw restore file with the (9B206) build from iClarified, and restored with that file. After it restored with the 9B206 build, Absinthe 2.0.1 worked fine.

the up date was for ONLY GSM, if Apple wanted to negate the JB they would have done the up date for all, not just GSM

just a extra step as Apple is STILL signing, .ipsw restore file with the (9B206) build. You can solve this issue. just plug your device with itunes, make sure you have the 5.1.1 9b206 firmware saved. just upgrade from itunes, but before clicking upgrade hold shift, a new window will appear, just choose the 5.1.1 9b206 firmware.

Sorry...I am CDMA and have the stupid 9b208:mad:

Already tried this also...does not work Apple changed the signing files and it will not accept the older version:mad:

This sucks. I haven't had a chance to throw 5.1.1 on and rejailbreak. I hope we don't get locked out :)

Wow. I typically wait a few days for Cydia to cool before I do an update and rejailbreak. But I've been itching for iPhoto and the photostream for so long.. I gave in and hit up iTunes yesterday evening before the sneak attack. The Apple anti-dev team probably all went home for the holiday laughing at how many jb fans they threw for a loop over this long weekend.. again demonstrates my point in an earlier thread about pod2g and his poll.. that when a jailbreak exists, release it asap before Apple closes the window of opportunity and hackers have to start all over again.

My Absinthe jb is kicking a** and moving flawlessly. Winterboard lag seems nonexistent for me and the repos are mostly available all night in my experience. I'm back to status quo on iOS 5.1.1 and happy as a pig in slop.;)

iPhone 4 does not have 4G hardware in it. It probably won't until there is some indication what the standard will be and wider deployment

*sigh* Sarcasm, my friend, sarcasm. The point is that, whether you call it 3G or 3.5g or 4G, the limiting factor in our data speeds is not HSDPA vs. HSPA+ vs. LTE, but AT&T's crappy backhaul. Who cares whether your handset or tower is capable of 14.4Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1Gbps when all you're going to get is 1Mbps anyway?

I heard some people saying to backup the camera roll because you may lose your camera roll from jailbreaking.

Shouldnt be iOS 5.1.1, although i am not too sure either.

MyWi on 5.1.1 not working!

I have iPhone 4/4s iOS 5.1.1 but MyWi not working. Please a need help!
