Thanks... But it will update my baseband too?.. I have 1.59.00 with ultrasnow to unlock.

wait, is the new version for 5.0 called springtomize2 in cydia? If it is that's not coming up either lol. I think I better just wait for the servers to cooperate

Yea for ios5+. I took cydia like 15 minutes just to update the packages this morning. Got most of everything but forgot iFile and OpenSSH. Now Cydia won't update at all and I get a error 500. Mass overload lol! Off to the beach will try again tonight.

Go to Changes in Cydia and click Refresh & see if it updates more packages...

I opened Absinthe before I plugged my iphone in. It said it was extracting a lot of files. Will that cause a problem when I try to JB now? Thanks

Updated to 5.1.1, did a backup in iTunes and jailbroke. None of that BS restore crap. Went flawlessly.

It's just extracting it's files. Open THAT folder and run absinthe.exe

I have installed Cydia and it doesn't seem to have anything in it. On The sources page there a few stock repos but it doesn't have anything to download. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes, wait a few hours until Cydia is not being hit so hard.

Just did my iPhone 4. Freshly updated to 5.1.1. No restore, just JB. Everything went fine.

..now to wait for Cydia servers to get moving...

Got it to work on my 3rd gen iPad after doing a DFU restore on 5.1.1, but I tried doing the same thing on my iPhone 4S, and absinthe crashes in windows during the jailbreak, then when I try to rerun it, it says "Looks like you attempted to jailbreak and it failed. Will try to fix it now...", then it says "Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in." When I do that, it takes me back to the "Looks like you attempted to jailbreak and it failed. Will try to fix it now..." thus putting me in an endless loop. I've done two DFU restores and rejailbroken twice, and it's crashed absinthe both times.

iPad 3 and iPhone 4S jailbroken on first attempt with Absinthe 2.0.1, no restore needed. Not able to really do anything in Cydia though. Gotta wait until their servers cool down.

One problem found so far. My Mail app on my iPhone went white. First reboot didn't fix it. After installing Winterboard (at least that download worked in Cydia) and after the reboot that was required, it was fixed. Working well now.

I just jailbroke my iPhone 4 GSM on 5.1.1, the phone is now jailbroke, but all my pictures from my camera roll is missing.

I checked my usage and clearly the pictures are still physically stored in my phone but they are just not showing up.

Anyone else having the same problem?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, tried twice, absinthe froze both times.

Appears no negative effects though, except some missing text messages that came in during the tries...

Any ideas?

Finally. Thank you JB community.
