Hello Hello,

I have been active in this page from when it was only page 1, i didnt wanted to use email to signup and post but i see a lot of discussions related to what i faced.

1. Cancellation - Yes, even i have cancelled an item which was booked on April 7th because i found a coupon online while i was searching for employee discount by pinging people on linkedin 😜 to help, but no one did so some website coupon i tried worked
Subtotal₹31,999.00
Discount (WOW5%)-₹1,599.95
Gift Wrap₹0.00
Incl. of IGST₹4,637.14
Grand Total₹30,399.05

Now during this cancellation first i cancelled from website but after that i didnt see past order history which made me confuse and led to call them and then they suggested to write a mail and eventually they did replied next day for cancel acceptation. But the worst part is refund, The order got cancelled on 11th i guess but they didn't initiated refund and that led me to do multiple emails and they responded with refund screen shot which they did after my mail sent 😂.
But till date 25th april i havent received my refund on my card yet and i have a due on 30th (fu*k). But since refund is processed i just need to wait and cant do much.

2. Order delay - Unlike others, i also worried that even after 15+ days i only get to see status as 'processing' so i had to mail them to check wether my order is fulfilled or gonna cancel it and they said same thing like other but few extra thing and that is a date.

I wanted to write this post a long back to share you all the coupon code which i used, bcz i am not into this post writing, but this thread which i was following from start had made to contribute something and heres mine. Even though i am not a pro to give review this is the most i can do. I was just looking for a monitor because my org has a WFH setup policy where i can buy one and this one ticked all my expectation.

FYR i am owning a Mac Air M3 and already have a LG FHD 27" monitor so this 4k can be a big difference for my eyes. And for the first time i have built my desk setup from past 3yrs of WFH (in bed mostly 😩).

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I'm glad you made an account to participate. Feel free to express yourself, no need to be a pro at all, I'm a complete newbie as well!

So I take it you haven't received your monitor yet either? The one you cancelled will be refunded per their emails and then you've put a new order, right?

These past few days, are moving wayyyy slower for me. Knowing that my monitor is just around the corner (or is it?), I find it hard to work on my beautiful yet physically limiting 13" MBA display everyday for 10+ hours (even though that's how I lived for past couple of years, and then couple of years before that on my windows laptop). My aging eyes aren't doing me a favour either. I really hope they ship on time.

Your desk setup looks quite practical and compact. By the way what keyboard is that? looks sleek!

Hey thanks for the warn welcome,

regarding ur question, I actually booked first and then the next min itself i cancelled it, this is because the stock was going out so crazy fast and i didnt want to miss it so.
We all are on same boat waiting for this monitor to arrive.

And by the the keyboard and mouse is both from Dell (company sponsored 😜, along with desk, light, laptop holder, monitor, and few more so i didnt look for price much at that time).

@Everyone
I need a suggestion from you all for a single USB C to HDMI splitter with 4k support, i am hating this M3 air for having only 2 ports and that too on one side of it

Hi, I first wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to the reviews of the S2725QC/S monitor, I was hesitating because 4K 120Hz at ~$350 seemed too good to be true, especially for the Dell quality which always has been good in monitors, but it seems that good IPS panels are going mainstream.

Thanks to the reviews here, I decided to buy it and pulled the trigger, I’m expecting to receive the monitor in 2-3 weeks. I also have an LG 27UP850-W that I have been using with my M1 Max laptop, so I’ll post details and comparison info when I have it here.

Hello and welcome! These threads are possible because of people like you who and others who go the extra mile to share their experiences, much appreciated!

You are in an unique position to compare both quiter popular mac monitors side by side. I had the same LG for few days and I was extremely pleased with it. Had to return due to some non monitor related issues, and then I found S2725QC.

Waiting eagerly for your review (doesn't have to be pro-level at all, can be a mini review or just raw paragraph would be fine too)!

This one seems good? although it can go only upto 60hz at 4k
https://www.amazon.in/Honeywell-Type-Dual-HDMI-Adapter/dp/B0B4KG8MMP?th=1

or a little bit economical
https://www.amazon.in/Lemorele-Thunderbolt-Converter-Suitable-Chromebook/dp/B0CCR8PMD8

I've heard good things about both brands, let's hear what others have to say. You can also try creating a new thread in accessories forum.

@Ishimura you have to search via Google to land on that page, I faced the same issue initially

I see. That does work. Thanks.

4.4 stars from 16 ratings. Hmmm.

There's a review complaining that the monitor won't wake from sleep when at 120hz over HDMI cable. Has anyone else observed that?

Also, what is the best way to connect this monitor to an M4 Mac Mini?

From Dell's webpage on the Dell 27 Plus 4K USB-C Monitor - S2725QC:

Ports

  • 1 USB-C 5Gbps upstream port (DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode, Power Delivery up to 65 W)
  • 2 HDMI ports (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3) (Supports up to UHD 3840 x 2160, 120 Hz, FRL, HDR, VRR as per specified in HDMI 2.1)
  • 1 USB 5Gbps Type-A downstream port with Battery Charging 1.2
  • 1 USB-C 5Gbps downstream port (Power Delivery up to 15 W)
  • 1 USB 5Gbps Type-A downstream port
If you connect by HDMI, that's it...you've got a display (and I assume speaker function, if the display has that), and that's it. HDMI carries video and audio signals to the display.

If you connect via USB-C (DisplayPort Alt. Mode), that 'upstream' port mentioned first, you have a display and the use of the 3 downstream USB ports (2 type A, 1 type C) on the display.

I've been using mine for about two weeks now, and I was going to write a review about how awesome the monitor is, but then I noticed this lol. It's hard to capture with a phone camera, but it's noticeable in person, especially on any dark or grey background. At first, I couldn't figure out what it was, but then I noticed it's my Chrome bar lol. It looks like some sort of "burn-in" directly on the panel. I tried switching inputs and different PCs (mac and windows), but it stays there no matter what, which just proves it's an issue with the panel itself. Not really sure what to do.

I'm using a pair of LG 27UL500-W monitors, and they work great with M1 Mac (mini, via HDMI) and M3 Mac (Book Pro, via a WavLink Thunderbolt Dock).

Glad to know, they truly look like no frills value for money monitors. From what I've gathered, LG seems to generally work will with Mac, my brief experience with LG 27UP850 was positive as well.

I swear I'm never gonna get an M4 Mac Mini. I had finally settled on this monitor to go with my upcoming purchase of one, but if it can have severe image retention after just two weeks then it looks like i'm going to have to restart my search for a monitor.

I've not seen any incidence of this myself from using this monitor for 4 weeks now. But I haven't really been looking. I use it for about 8+ hours a day for my job so it's certainly been used. I think it's been a fantastic purchase and have absolutely zero regrets buying it. If you're not happy and are within the return window, then that might be the best course of action.

FWIW, I use this monitor on an M4 Mini and an M2 MBA so it's had plenty of mileage from the M series Macs. Before that I used a Dell P2715Q which I bought for $292 in 2016. It still works and was just as excellent, save for those chunky bezels.

So far only 1 user has reported such issue for the purchase to be dismissed entirely. Maybe he got a faulty piece? It would be within warranty and return period too if that would help?

If you want to go very safe, based on my experience and what I've read so far, there is always LG UP/UL series but they don't have 120hz, they have their own issues though. Apple Studio Display is a golden standard for macs for a reason.

Interesting. I've had mine roughly 3 weeks now. Regular usage throughout the day and do not see this issue. I'll keep checking, but hoping I'm good.

It shouldn't be having an image retention issue after just two weeks, regardless of what can be done to mitigate it. This either has to be a fault with this unit or the model is fundamentally flawed in its design.

Hopefully they will let us know what Dell has to say about this.

Agreed. It could be that he got a faulty unit? Please keep us updated @fohafic194

By the way, my monitor has got delayed by 10 days at minimum. That's now 40 days of waiting in total.

Did you reach out to customer service?
It should never have delayed so much.

I ordered on 12th April and I was hoping I would get it by first week of May but this is disappointing.
