Apple only says you need the latest software, nothing on their website points to requiring Bluetooth 5.0 devices.

My hinge has more sideways wobble when closed, and less wobble when open, compared to my first gen case.

A rare thing happens with the wireless charging, it charges at times. I don´t know if due to the problem of the charging case, failure of the charging stand or protection from the heat generated when charging.

How do you like the Nomad? Look pretty high quality?

I love it. It’s very sturdy and I like the way you can see your watch at night. I’ve tried it and it’ll charge the watch, iPhone and AirPods at the same time. Expensive but it is high quality.

The charging light goes out after a few seconds. Maybe yours is at 100%?

I love mine so far but needed a slight boost to reach the wireless charging at my office. Keeping an eye out for AirPower!

Mine will charge fine without the padding on my Anker desk stand if you turn them upside down !

I picked up a pair from my local Apple store today and I immediately noticed four things compared to my experience with the previous AirPods: the double-tap behavior is more responsive, the fit is slightly tighter in my ears, the connection time is faster, and the bass is a bit more pronounced.

I just got the new AirPods with the wireless charging case. Since I don't have a wireless charger at work, I plugged it in to charge since it only has about 70% battery level. I was expecting the status light on the outside of the case to flash while charging to indicate charging status, but it lid up for a few seconds and it goes off. I know the case is being charged when I check the AirPods battery level from the iPhone widget, but I was expecting the status light will provide indication while charging. Is that how it's suppose to be?

I’ve noticed them being a little tighter in my ears. I hope we’re right. I wonder of anyone has actually measured them against the 1st gen?

I’d like to pick up a pair today, but mine’s being delivered tomorrow and I don’t want to go through the effort of returning another pair. I’m not that impatient lol

Can somebody with a Bluetooth 5 device comment on if they have noticed an improvement in the range vs the original model? In the past if I left my MacBook Pro or iPhone 8 in a room and walked to the other side of the house the audio would start to cut out.

One of my favorite new features is that the always on "Hey Siri" features extended over to my 2016 MacBook Pro that didn't have it before xD ~ sound quality seems the same if not better, and switching between devices is definitely snappier. Overall, not bad!

Ok so just had the chance to try my gen 2's. Volume seems louder than my gen 1's. I can select and stream Apple Music using my watch but it looks as if i need WatchOS 5.2 to access the phones music library as the options on the watch show library only and not an option for my iPhone

If someone could measure them that’d be fantastic. As someone who wasn’t ever able to get a solid fit originally, I’d love to know if they’re shaped at all different. Might be worth a trip to the Apple store then.

Mine suck with he mophie charger. At first the mophie light came on but the case wasn't charging at all even after 20 min. Now I finally got it to move from 77 to 81% then the mophie light went off and it stopped charging (lost connectivity on the widget). I picked them up and put them back on the charger and the Mophie light came on and its charging again. Something is dodgy. My guess id there is some sweet spot on the charger that works best and its not dead center.

My uncle Frank was at Apple store today and saw a guy dump in his pants after picking up his AirPods.

Has anyone encountered this?

For those wondering about the size difference, if anyone has v1, throw them into the charge case & look for any gaps around the buds.

& report back thanks! :D

In comparison to launch day gen 1’s, having fresh batteries is the biggest improvement for my use. Hands free Siri is fine and allows me to remap both earbud taps to other functions (track up and track down) while still retaining access to Siri.

I can tell no difference in the sound quality between the two sets, and I strongly believe that if any improvements had been made we’d have at least a paragraph from Apple marketing about the magical new audio quality. This is fine. I loved my gen 1s and I appreciate earbuds that don’t isolate me from the rest of the world.

If gen 1 had stuck around at $99, I likely would have gone with another set of those. If you’ve just bought a set of gen 1 and are outside the return window, enjoy them without worry. You’ve got a great set of earbuds. The new revision is by no means life changing, just a further refinement of an already excellent product.

Has earwax creaping into the mesh been an issue with AirPods? Could this account for the better sound quality people are experiencing with the New AirPods? ZONEofTECH has a comparison on YouTube showing the 2nd Gen as being louder. I’m wondering if that’s just due to them being cleaner.

Just got mine from the store after UPS failed to leave my order at the door even though I signed a release. Anyone else noticing or feeling that the case (I got non wireless one) feels cheap compared to gen 1? When the lid open it rattles pretty with pretty loud sound from the metal hinge. Don't remember my 1st gen making that sound or feels this way.
