Mine said “getting it ready” on Best Buy since Dec. 15, and I ordered on Dec 9. They just showed up yesterday, Jan 4. Glad to finally have them, but Best Buy’s gotta work on their order status I think...

Target stores by me (Chicago) are showing space grey available for in store pick up today at multiple locations.
Target has been great! But seems only colors I see pop up are space grey and silver.
Bestbuy 12/22 purchaser. Mine was the same, could not cancel until they eventually shipped. But on 12/31, I received a USPS tracking number but USPS still states they have not received the package, just pre shipment notification. Contacted Best Buy and they say expected date is not until Jan 11th.
Yeah, I was able to snag the only pair in my area yesterday from Target. Space Black, but that’s what I wanted anyway, so it’s all good. I have seen the occasional Green and Pink pairs show up in Apple Stores near me; but very occasionally and they’re gone pretty quickly.
Yeah I’m seeing that too. Then one up the street from me (Chicago South Loop) never had them. I had mine delivered.
Got them in today, the jack got here early today too. APM was supposed to be delivered on 1/28, and the jack on 1/13. Good mail day.
Pulled the trigger on a Space grey this morning with Target. Working from home with kids playing in the background has been very distracting. Hoping to make use of the noice cancellation and have an over-the-ear experience as my AirPods Pro just dont feel good in my ears. Also used 2 gift cards and Circle earnings which effectively make the AirPods Max a bit more palatable at only $499.

Congrats! Wish I could find a pair. All Target stores in my area (So Cal Riverside) are sold out and not even taking orders. 😓. I keep checking a few times a day, but so far no luck. And with all the physical Apple Stores closed here, all I can do at this point it seems is wait out the online order I placed a few weeks ago.
I just occasionally checked Apple, Target, and Best Buy throughout the day and was very surprised to see anything from Target. Apple would get stock of random colors at Apple stores "near" me (the closest to me is 130 miles from my house!), but those would be gone almost as soon as I'd see them become available. Keep checking is all I can advise!
Been following this thread. Of all the APM sellers out there, Target's stock seems to be most sporadic - but available over time. Just checked stock (8:40 PM EST) for Space Gray and they had one item available. Bought it.

"Sweat gate" does not bother me much but would be interesting to see what Apple has to say. Reading the comments it may look like a lot of owners notice it, but again people go to the internet to complain. Those who are happy just chill and listen to music. Anyway, I've just cancelled my order as the Christmas feeling wore off. It was for mid-February, so probably will not help much you getting a pair earlier.
