  • Connect your AirPods to the iPhone.
  • Open Settings.
  • Tap Bluetooth.
  • Find your AirPods in the connected devices list and press the small (i) button on the right of the row.
  • Tap ‘Connect to this iPhone’ setting.
  • Change the setting from ‘Automatically’ to ‘When Last Connected to This iPhone’.
Make sure you have done this on your other iOS devices as well.
Thanks, I had done that, but I didn’t know if there was a setting specifically to block any connections automatically.

Well I don’t get why there is so much inconsistency with peoples experiences. I charged mine up to 100% yesterday morning and left them in the case and checked them today and they were still saying 100%. I used them for 30 minutes and they dropped to 99% and then I put them back in the case where they immediately disconnected and I checked them again this evening and they have dropped by 3% in nine hours.

Yes seriously I would give it a try. When you put them in the bra, check your phone to make sure that they have disconnected and that you have the auto connect settings switched to off.
What you can then do is periodically go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and connect to the AirPods and then swipe right to check the battery without actually taking them out of the bra.
For me I’m finding them to have exemplary battery life.

K trying out the bra. Put in at 56% 9:30pm lol

it disappeared from ipad battery immediately (last device to connect to it). It already was missing from the iphone due to the setting changes.

So what you do is leave the headphones in the case, to go into settings/Bluetooth/connect to AirPods Max and then quickly go to Home Screen and check the battery. Do it in the first 20 seconds before your device disconnects from the headphones

I must be doing it wrong because when my APM is in it's case it still connects to my iPhone 12 PM. Is it supposed to not connect right away?

Something isn’t right there because when I put my AirPods Max in my case they disconnect. That’s why I’m getting the good battery life. It does take a few seconds to disconnect but I can manually connect to my APM whilst they’re in the case and then a few seconds later they automatically disconnect if I don’t take them out of the case

Interesting because I get good battery life when it's not in it's case. I may to a test tonight. full charge it and leave it in the case and see where it is in the morning.

That’s a great tip! This will make it much easier for my (OCD) periodic checking of their battery level throughout the day, and will avoid unnecessary extraction from the case. Thanks! ?

Hi.
Well, as I said my Story before, i returned my first pair of AirPods max regarding this issuse. Then I bought a second pair as soon I saw them available. This one came with the 3C16 firmware by factory, so I didn’t go through any update process.

the first 2 weeks the battery if this new airpods max was working great. I and tested serval times. but now they are having the same issue. Somehitng trigger the problem again.
I hope they fixed it. soon.

That’s interesting. Mine are ten days old now with no problems. I can’t think what would change after two weeks to create the problem

So it was in its case last night at 77% and this morning was at 71%. So lost about 6% overnight.

52% as of 435pm monday. So 4% loss over 43 hrs
I’m assuming this low drain is when they are in case and in ultra low power mode?
Problem is, this mode only kicks in with 18 hours of no usage, if you’re using more regularly than that, it never gets the chance to enter this mode
