That would be a very nice surprise. When I was buying my wifes MBP today the specialist told me he was sure that Apple would ship the 12/29 order much sooner. I'm hoping he was right!
Just got charged by apple original delivery date dic 29. Preparing for shipping
My Dec. 29th order is also PFS! Woooooo! Almost makes up for my three hours of lost time driving across state lines this morning.
My 12/29 order was charged and went to PFS!
In my experience, the product usually ships in 1-2 days after PFS... So I am guessing either Friday or next week Tuesday they come in (not Monday because of Xmas observance). Here to hoping I get an early Xmas present

ah ok. I guess US orders have higher priority than EU orders (its always like this lol)
An option for those of you (like me) with January or February ship dates from Apple: I ordered AirPods from Verizon.com last night at 9:47p and they arrived via FedEx today at 12:21p.
Thus I cancelled my Apple order––to be delivered by January 12––so all of you get to move up a spot.
Whenever you get yours, the wait is so totally worth it. These little guys rock!

I hope you were able to solve the situation with UPS and get these. Mine arrived at about 3:30 pm and they're absolutely amazing.
At 1PM today they were available at the location 10 minutes from me and I went and got them without issue. I'm absolutely loving them so far!
Dang hope my order gets delivered sooner...Jan 12 original date, also in the Twin Cities!
Says will be delivered by 8 pm. They have 20 minutes!
Just checked my order. It has moved to 1/13 also. Still hoping they ship earlier than expected though as Apple has pretty much delivered everything I have ever preordered from them early.
Just got off the phone with FedEx. Apparently the excuse was "too many packages, not enough hours." REALLY? They didn't even try to deliver it. It's held for me to pickup tomorrow. Glad it wasn't something important!!!
