AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

Allegedly ATT has them in stock, just ordered a pair, says shipping within 3 days so fingers crossed.
 
I ordered from ATT late last night and got an email this morning with an order number. I am hoping they ship today.

Got an email confirming shipment today. Can't thank everyone enough in this thread. Now I can cancel my order from Apple with April 17th delivery.

What the hell is happening with this product, do Apple sells them or not? We are already in March and still having the same problems?

Is this done on purpose based on the scarcity principle or Apple really sucks? I read the reports on why the Airpods had a delay, but I don't think I ever saw something so unavailable as these headphones, even rare items aren't that hard to buy.

I canceled my B&H order. Once they get back to me regarding a refund, I'll go buy from AT&T. This is ridiculous.
 
I ordered AirPods on att yesterday at 12:30pm. They just shipped today at 12:30pm with standard shipping. FYI. Still in stock. Sorry, expensive enough, not willing to pay $15 shipping.

I've been watching ATT and they seem to be doing pretty well keeping them in stock. Why not the other stores is beyond me.
 
My ATT order from Monday has picked up a tracking number.

The one from Friday is just sitting there in limbo. ATT still hasn't cancelled it, but it isn't moving either. After I have Monday's in my hands, I'll see why they haven't cancelled it yet.

I really can't figure out if there is any rhyme or reason to this. Maybe it is all luck. But, it looks like my luck has finally turned good.

I placed an order on the 24th and it sat in limbo, I called right now and they told me to cancel. Did you just place another order it got pushed through?? LMK I had them cancel and I'm tempted to try ordering again.

That is what I did. It didn't go through and was in limbo (I received an email saying it wasn't available but the order tracking page was still saying it was in progress). I ordered another pair once they were back in stock and got a tracking number and they shipped the next day. The first was still in limbo so I cancelled it at that point.
 
OK, call me a quitter, but I gave up on the quest for the Holy Grail! Placed an order with Apple and will just wait it out! Too much chasing my tail with "they have some here," "no, now they are out but there might be some here!"
 
I went into Best Buy this past Sunday and they had none in stock but told me if I order them, they were expecting shipment in the next few days and I could pick them up at the latest by tomorrow. My order went into Backordered status yesterday without any ETA, so I found them available at att.com (thanks to this forum). Purchased them last night and got my tracking # an hour ago. They will be delivered tomorrow!!!! Can't wait to try these out!
 
I just logged onto AT&T right now, pulled up the AirPods page, asked the chat if they were in stock, they confirmed, placed the order, now it says "In Progress"

*Fingers Crossed* it gets shipped out tonight!!! I'll keep y'all posted!!!

Yes, I just ordered again when they came in stock on Monday and it looks like that one worked.

I will wait for no more than two weeks because a) no one is selling this item in my country for a reasonable price, and b) everyone is charging ridiculous prices for it or refusing to sell to freight forwarders, which is where I need to deliver (my US address).

I would have preferred to buy from Amazon, but it seems Apple items are not sold there.

If I have to cancel this order I won't buy this item ever again. I don't have time to play games with Apple, either they are totally incompetent or we are seeing one of the worst cases in history of the so called scarcity principle. My patience will run out completely if I really have to cancel this order. I'll also wait for a little while since it could take 1-2 months for this item to arrive, once I ship from the freight forwarder, meaning a litte delay won't make a huge difference, considering I'll have to wait anyway.
 
Was able to grab a pair from target online thanks to istocknow notifications. I have 2 coming so I will be selling one pair.

Put in my order via AT&T last night around midnight, and they shipped this afternoon. Canceled my apple order, which was expected 4/21.

Great. I ordered from att, got the email back that said shipping in 1-3 days the order was In Progeess, then just now got an email stating the order suddenly is changed to pending and my option is to cancel it. Should I cancel now, or hope they come in before march 7th when it gets automatically canceled?
 
I was thinking about ordering these from apple and waiting 6 weeks but decided to come on here and see if anything was going on first. Saw that At&T has some so placed and order this morning, it says shipping between march 1-3. Status was in process and recently changed to preparing to ship. So we will see if these ship out within the next day or so.

Lucky. I ordered too and though it said initially in progress shipping march 1-3 it now says pending and that it is back ordered
