Lucky. I ordered too and though it said initially in progress shipping march 1-3 it now says pending and that it is back ordered

Looks like they want me to cancel yet again. UGH! I just want these AirPods SO bad!!!

Great. I ordered from att, got the email back that said shipping in 1-3 days the order was In Progeess, then just now got an email stating the order suddenly is changed to pending and my option is to cancel it. Should I cancel now, or hope they come in before march 7th when it gets automatically canceled?
I ordered from ATT yesterday at noon cst and they shipped last night and are arriving tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm still just mad at AT&T for letting me order, taking my money, telling me shipped in 1-3 days, then sending out an email saying "Oopsie daisy, we have no more"
Yeah that sucks, sorry to hear that. I was worried that would happen to me since it almost seemed too good to be true but I guess I got lucky.
 
I placed an order with AT&T around noon Eastern on 2/27 and got a shipping notification around 4pm on 2/28. They should arrive tomorrow. I'm being a bit paranoid and won't cancel my order with Apple until I have these in hand just in case...
 
My AT&T order from last Thursday arrived Monday and coincidentally now my BestBuy order from 1/21 arrives tomorrow *facepalm*
 
I placed my AT&T order at 1:30am on 2/28. Confirmation email at 1:47.

At 3:08pm on 2/28 I received a shipping confirmation and a tracking number.

My airpods left Fort Worth at 4:46am today, 3/1. I'm happy, Apple had me waiting until 4/21.
 
I don't know what's going on but At&T's website seems to be showing them in stock again.
I know! So weird!! I was looking at iStockNow and there was not a single one and in 5 minutes it refreshed and showed ATT had them so I ordered them. I had manually looked at ATT earlier this morning and they didnt have them in stock. I checked this thread and shot over to Macys but no luck. Im assuming they come in and out of stock depending on ppl like us ordering and cancelling at the drop of a hat lol

I DID LOL!

I just dont want them to go "Hey we have it!" and let me order, and then yank it outta my mitts.

Amazon has done this about a dozen times in 4 months and it makes me livid when I pre-order 1-2 months in advance, only to be told on release day "Oops we lied! We dont actually have one for you!" because by then they're sold out evvverryyywherreeee.

Here is what ticks me off. I had NOT canceled my order from yesterday with ATT yet, just in case they get them in stock within a couple days. When I saw them in stock, I went ahead and made a SECOND order for them, on the off chance ATT does something completely unfathomable (sarcasm) and screws up again. While I did that, I called order support to find out if they would actually honor yesterday's transaction or if I did indeed need that 2nd one. Here's what they told me.

"We actually were just notified that the Apple AirPods are End of Life, and we will no longer be receiving ANY more shipments of them". I immediately call bologna on this, but she couldn't give me ANY information about any orders, because their systems were updating, so I should try calling back in 2-3 hours. Great customer service, ATT.

I know. The customer service knows nothing, and can't even look up an order because system is updating. This was the SECOND time in less than 3 1/2 hours I had called that their systems were updating. Why update in middle of the day when people are likely to call, and then tell your people to tell them that something brand new is End of Life?

LOL My hopes of getting these airpods are now dashed. It's super fishy of them to do this. Blech!
 
I'll let you know if EITHER of these two orders goes through as soon as I get more information.
Thank you! I will post as soon as the order goes out of "In Progress" on my end. The money is on hold in my bank so fingers crossed! I really need these because my cat goes nuts over all cords and the beats earbuds just wont cut it.

I have always had issues with At&T's customer service going back years. They never know what's going on and every time you call you always get a different answer.

This actually makes me wonder-- I've never ordered from ATT before for any apple product, and I was wondering-- what do I do if I get my airpods and they're crazy wonky or busted? Do I go through Apple Store or ATT for help? I know my work phones have always been through ATT and if I've ever had an issue I have to take them to the apple store (Like one time there was a battery issue and they were replacing batteries). New to this! lol
