Anybody know what the state of drivers is 11.1? Just upgraded and Safari has already crashed on me playing a video, and so did Octane in C4D (but, hey, that's what Octane always does. Waiting for the new R7 build).
i just managed to get a 6900xt, will come back with an update folks
10900k, 64gb ram, 2x512gb nvme (one for macOS, one for Windows), 5700xt (for now) + 4k ultrawide via DP. opencore build from source weekly
EDIT: obviously, its a hackintosh

10900K is not a Xeon CPU, and you wouldn't use OpenCore with a factory Mac...
Unfortunately, it seems there’s no driver for 6900 XT yet.
I just got a 6900 XT reference model and installed it in my Mac Pro 2019.
Tried with Activity Monitor, Octane X PR7 and DaVinci Resolve.
Big Sur 11.1 will not recognize it. Sad.

Apparently you gotta make sure it actually will be supported before you ever decide to shell out for one, right 😅

No. I don’t have an access for Big Sur beta build.
BTW, after a bit of a hassle, Bootcamp Win 10 recognized the 6900XT.
Followed Apple procedure, I needed to uninstall the driver for MPX and remove the module itself, and finally Win 10 recognized the card. I’m not familiar with PCs, so it took me a lot of time to figure it out.

Actually a lot of people do use OpenCore with the 1,1-5,1 Mac Pros. I did, added hardware accelerated encode/decode and a boot screen on my RX580 amongst other things.
