So I have the 6600 and got it working with monterey but everytime i try to install ventura, once it is done installing the screen goes black and acts like my hdmi was unplugged but only when booting into ventura. is there any patch for this?
Edit: It also works well with windows 11So I have the 6600 on my mac pro 5,1 and got it working with monterey but everytime i try to install ventura, once it is done installing the screen goes black and acts like my hdmi was unplugged but only when booting into ventura. is there any patch for this? I am using OpenCore Legacy Patcher and all works fine until i get to trying to use ventura
As for the cMP, i think it would be best to avoid Ventura forever! No matter how much things they got "fixed" with time by patching in old stuff. Why not just use "the real thing"? It is just no Intel-OS anymore.I think you better avoid Ventura at this moment.
This is from the OCLP site.So I have the 6600 and got it working with monterey but everytime i try to install ventura, once it is done installing the screen goes black and acts like my hdmi was unplugged but only when booting into ventura. is there any patch for this?

cool! but why not just put it in the Mac Pro?Always wanted a larger more powerful video card...the Radeon RX 6800 reference card was perfect for my Classic Mac Pro. So dug out a Dell small form factor pc, built a PCIe egpu. Flashed card, and now my machine will live for another day. Thank you all!!! View attachment 2188652
I wil be able to run multiple rx 6800s without power mod. Plus I was able to flash the card in a small form factor PC, that was not able to fit or power card.cool! but why not just put it in the Mac Pro?

I have been building custom computer parts for years. Worked in R&D for 40 years.Did you find an off-the-shelf solution, or did you have to build it up from parts - pcie riser cable etc?
The bandwidth is limited by the MacPro slot regardless of the external pcie 3/4. It will have the same speed as the pcie Gen 2.I have been building custom computer parts for years. Worked in R&D for 40 years.
I agree, the gen 3/4 was for the pc folks. Image has been corrected, thank you.The bandwidth is limited by the MacPro slot regardless of the external pcie 3/4. It will have the same speed as the pcie Gen 2.
What apps do you use that take advantage of two GPUs?I wil be able to run multiple rx 6800s without power mod. Plus I was able to flash the card in a small form factor PC, that was not able to fit or power card.

How did you apply fixrom? I did not have enough space in my vbios so I had to delete the ARM GOP part at the end.Hello,
i just installed a Asus Rog RX6900XT in my 5.1.
i Apply the fixrom with a pc.
I'm in macOS Monterey 12.6.5 with OC 0.9.0 Martin Lo standard config.plist (attached file)
The boot work but it's like i have no driver installed for this card... very slow graphics and no acceleration.
Somebody can help me please ?

Hello tsialex, already thank you to answer me
This is the card rom i save with GPU-Z and the one after Fix
Unfortunattely, i don't make pictures of GPU-Z information ant the card is already in the Mac (not easy to install)
Anyway if you want to see the picture, i can transfer the card.
No, it's martin lo opencore 0.9.0 and update to monterey 12.6.5Your GPU firmware 115-D412BS2-100 with VBIOS 020.001.000.060.000000 seems to be this one:
If it's really this one, is a standard 1002 73AF 6900XT.
Did you installed Monterey with OCLP?
yes, it's watercooled version@olixsm ^ is that card watercooled?
because if your card isn't that same one and instead is the Asus reference card -- then it appears there is no vBIOS for the Asus reference card on Techpowerup, only the TUF and STRIX LC (watercooled) versions:

You could however, try THIS vBIOS, but no guarantees that it will work (since Asus isn't listed within the list of all the reference cards that this vBIOS works on, see the red box in screenshot below), but it might work?

Are you sure you actually patched the vbios? I don't see a difference between both attached. Also don't forget before patching for GOP you need to patch for booting with cMP with syncretic's patch first.Hello tsialex, already thank you to answer me
