I believe you have until it ships to cancel.

I was and am still on the fence about the S6. I have a coworker willing to pay me $200 for my Al S4. I was going to get another Al with the new braided blue band. Doesn't seem like too bad of a deal...

Yeah, managed to get it cancelled. Will probably get it eventually. Have a $250 that should be coming sometime next month for joining AT&T. May use that and trade in my watch. Also want to get the iPad though so that’s why I was on the fence

Resale values are horrendous from Apple. My S4 44mm SPACE BLACK STAINLESS (also obviously cellular) was offered at $155. So $15 more for a watch of the same year that cost $320 more at purchase than yours! $320 extra so I can get $15 more at resale lol. Truly horrible but so it goes. I'm keeping my S4 and will use it as an alternate watch with my S6 when charging or I want a change of pace in case look.

I got $400 for my series 4 Space Black SS on swappa back in July.

I do agree the resale value has been so horrible for the watches.

I never thought there would be a battery improvement. I wanted blood oxygen and it has that so I’m definitely upgrading. I’m getting 40mm non-GPS Space Gray aluminum with the Solo Loop in size 3. I’m not preordering though. I’m gonna wait to see if  offers 6% Daily Cash when you pay with Card at Christmas like they did last year.

I ordered as well for the Pulse Oximeter. I was hoping it would have been last year. For me it relieves my having to carry one in my pocket all day. So I’m obviously in the minority as I won’t be using it for fitness tracking.

The background checking by the app will be extremely helpful for me. ?

My S4 44mm aluminium with cellular gets $10 because I have more than 1 scratch on the face. Without the scratches, it would be $140.

Same. I have scoliosis and asthma. Pulse ox is important especially when I’m sick. Background checking sold it for me. It was suggested that I get one the last time I was hospitalized. And I just never got around to it. I just knew I wouldn’t carry it around when I wasn’t sick. Luckily I’ve been very healthy lately. I haven’t been hospitalized in 3yrs.

I am.. only because I'm 95% sure I'm getting a new car (BMW) so I can take advantage of the digital key thing. If I wasn't in the market for a car I wouldn't have upgraded. (so apple has to thank BMW) My S4 is still holding up like a champ!

I have a 44 SS Series 4 that was recently replaced via Apple Care. I tend to bang my wrist on things and drop my watch from time to time, so I need the durability of the face and casing of the SS.

I was going to order a new 44 SS Series 6 with one of the new bands and the price (with tax) is over $900.

I personally cannot fathom paying that for a watch that only has a few tricks that mine doesn’t (I don’t need the blood oxygen sensor).

My iPhone X is really showing it’s age, so I’m passing on the watch and will reward myself with a new iPhone 12.

I had better hopes for the Series 6.

You mean more than 1 deep scratch?
They're not that deep, but if I run my fingernail across the glass, I can definitely feel them. I wouldn't say any of the glass has been chipped.... does this mean I can answer "no" to whether there are deep scratches?

I'm torn myself. I currently own the Series 4 and it's been great, no complaints, but of course, I just preordered the Series 6, like the Apple fan that I am, but now I'm getting second thoughts.

The Blood Oxygen sensor is really cool, but not something I need for health reasons regularly.

The compass would be nice, but you can actually get elevations through third party apps on the watch. Not sure about the full compass, but I can get that on the phone. So again not so necessary.

The always on screen sounds nice, and it does bug me that I have to flick my wrist multiple times, sometimes to see the time, vs an always on screen however I also like when the screen is dark and keeps things discreet, for multiple reasons.
Battery life is fantastic.

All the new features of WatchOS 7 will work on our Series 4, right? And you can order the new bands to work on the Series 4. Hmmmmm...am I missing anything guys?

I am pretty young.... honestly if I did it would be the SE version in a year or 2 but that is when my series 4 stops working. Unless my company gives me a free Apple Watch again :)

Series 6....

Special faces .... don't care about those
EKG .... again young
Fall alert ..... young
blood oxygen..... I'm pretty young

Unless these things start lasting more than 2 days that is what I am waiting for.

Can’t you turn off AOD?

Guys I didn’t see the keynote what’s the difference between the new watch and series 5? Is it worth the upgrade from a 5.

MR's 7-minute round-up is a good video to watch for the punchline, but, IMO, from a 5, meh, unless you really want one of the new colors, or maybe the SpO2 sensing.

the differences between S5 and S6 are subtle and may not be worth it...

1. S6 chip 20% faster
2. Charges 20% faster
3. U1 ultra wide band chip for tracking other Apple products etc.
4. 5ghz wifi.
5. Always on altimeter
6. Always On Display when outdoors is 2.5x brighter
7. Blood Oxygen Sensor

I wasn't going to, but just ordered. I wanted the always on display last year but it wasn't enough to persuade me. But, I did still want it. The improved battery charging was a plus. Most of the other stuff seemed good. I don't really need the blood oxygen thing or the altimeter but they are OK. I liked the blue one. I did decide to replace a 40 mm Series 4 with a 44 mm Series 6. I am female but I like the idea of having a bit more screen real estate. If I don't like it I will just trade it for a 40 mm...

Based on the announcement and based on the fact that my S4 was the same price and basically same spec (same processor, same features, except I do actually have ECG sensor even if I can't use it in Australia) as an SE... hard pass.

I'll wait til the S7 or my S4 starts running like garbage.

My series 4 SS still looks and works great. AOD would be great for swimming but I'll wait for the 7. Pulse ox is not something I would be checking regularly and if I did I would just get a finger sensor for £20 which probably would work better anyway. I do like SBSS so I hope that is coming back
