At this point, not missing the iPhone at all. Constantly discovering new apps/tweaks that make the phone even more functional and fun to use.
This. The variety of ROMs, tweaks, apps, mods there are for Android just make me want to embrace it even more. Don't miss my iPhone at all.

Miss little things here and there but as an overall experience, not missing it and won't be switching back unless there are significant changes to both hardware and software.

Using an iPhone is like looking at the world through a grungy apartment door peep hole at the garbage chute across the hall while my Note 2 is like through elegant luxurious French doors to the French Riviera

I don't miss my iPhone, but I do miss some of the apps on it. Like right this instance I wish I had the app that controls my TV so I can turn it off, as the remote is across the room. I also prefer the camera on it over the one on my Nexus. I still use my iPhone for various things, but just not for phone purposes.

Can't say that I am.

I am still figuring out which Android phone is the right one, but one thing I know for sure is that the iPhone isn't for me anymore. Not without some drastic changes from Apple.

Will you do me a favor with your nexus? Hold it under a light and at an angle....do you notice a checkerboard style pattern. I have seen 5 in a row all with it. Some are more faint than others, but it is apparent in all of them I have seen.

With the screen on or off? I'm not seeing anything either way... I'm using a flash light right on it and the lamp from the room. Angling it every which way... not really seeing anything.

I miss how many games there were on my iPhone but that's really about it lol, I would never go back from Android. Plus, I don't think I could stand using that tiny screen after upgrading to a much larger one lol

I'm still using my iPhone 4S but not with any providers iPhone plan. I'm using my 4S with a sim card that I activated in my Nexus 7 tablet. I just had to change the APN to AT&T broadband and I get the same speeds I would get on my tablet which is up to 9Mbps. I have a T-Mobile data only sim in my Nexus 7 now since I get speeds up to 21Mbps on their network.

I have my Nexus 4 as my phone.

When I was on my HTC I very rarely missed the iPhone. In fact now I'm back on my iPhone 4 I miss Android, just waiting for the GS4 so I can finally get rid of this piece of crap.

From the unboxings I've seen the htc one looks phenomenal

After my experience with the HTC Sensation I'm never buying another HTC. Terrible build quality, unreliable device. Which is why I'm back on my old iPhone.

Besides, I actually like the new version of TouchWiz Samsung's pushing these days.

Don't miss it at all.
I won't consider another iPhone unless they revamp iOS completely.

I can see why some people would miss their iPhone. I mean, it really is a high end phone and despite me not liking iOS all that much it is a very stable, fluid, and easy to use OS (although cumbersome in some aspects such as the keyboard and settings). Personally though, I really enjoy my SGS3 and Android a lot. I love tinkering with my phone (and all electronics for that matter) and setting it up just how I want it.

However if tinkering is not your thing though and you want a phone that is good to go right off the store shelf, iOS and iPhone is clearly the way to go. If there ever comes a point in my life where I'm sick of tinkering, I'm sure I'll be back to the iPhone and iOS. In all honestly, you really can't go wrong either way. Just choose whichever you feel more comfortable with or if you can afford it, keep both!

Mostly agree. I would add, though, that phones nowadays work pretty straightforward out of the box. Also, I have to believe that some customers are becoming more and more tech savvy.

Andorids, Windows, etc. are all usually fairly simple to use out of the box.

You're very right. Pretty much all phones are very good at doing the popular tasks of calling, texting, surfing, downloading apps, etc. I feel iOS extends this ease of use to all features, or nearly every feature, a little bit more so that Android at this point (I cannot comment on Windows 8 or any other OS as I haven't used them). However being more technologically inclined than most of the general populace I didn't even consider keeping my GS3 the way it came. Within hours I had on Nova launcher and fooled around with settings and third party apps/widgets. Its just what I love doing.

Thats why I prefer Android but many people prefer iOS because it is very smooth/easy to use over roughly 90-95% of the entire OS. I was able to achieve the same ease of use plus customize the looks of Android but it took a little work, which i didn't mind doing. Either way, you are very right in your observation.

I had an iPhone and an S3 at the same time, I thought I would miss the iPhone once I sold it. TBH, Im quite amazed that I don't. What is even more amazing is that my replacements (S3 and Nexus 4) do not stutter, freeze, need rebooting every 5 minutes, crash, stutter, judder, suffer from bad battery life, have any apps that are available on the app store, have updates, have malware or viruses. In fact, they are both as smooth and trouble free as any of my iPhones ever were. Wonder why I thought it would be different.

This completely.

And ironically, it's my iPhone that currently runs very slowly, restarts itself every few days, and keeps freezing. Never had that on any Android phone and I've owned like five of 'em.

I've loved the iPhone since day one but briefly ran with the original Galaxy S. Running Android 2.2 Froyo, however, the phone was too unreliable. Now though I have been (mostly) happily using a Galaxy Note for nearly a year and I (mostly) love it. I still miss the reliability of the iPhone but do feel that I have outgrown iOS as it stands right now. Android is still not perfect by any means but since ICS it has come on in leaps and bounds. So with things like cross app integration, file system access, customizability, various other OS level advantages not present yet in iOS, together with the hardware of the Galaxy Note which offers large hi-rez screen, removable battery and swappable memory storage, I have a near-perfect pocket computer whose only faults are occasional wobbles in stability and build quality low enough to require use of external protective case - not something I would have done to an iPhone. The iPhone still has a place in my heart and I'd love the platform to evolve but I love what I use right now too.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and an iPad 4th Gen. For many years I have regularly changed my phone several times per year. Before the S3 I had a 4S and so does my wife. I loved the iPhone but it just didn't full fill my needs and wants. There is no denying that build quality wise you will be hard pushed to find better than an apple product but looks aren't everything. In my opinion apple is to restrictive when it comes to its software. It wants total control over the user and limit how much personalisation you can have. For a brief period i jailbroke my iPhone but it was far too unstable for my liking and quickly reverted to standard software. This is when I turned to Android. Granted I will agree it may not be as polished and flawless as some iOS operations but I feel much more in control of my phone. I have it set up the way I want and couldn't get this level of satisfaction with my iPhone. Personally in my own opinion there is no handset out there better than the S3 at the moment. To name a few the Note 2 I feel is just to big for daily use and as for the iPhone 5, it just really disappoints me. I feel apple need a change of direction with the software. It is like the playstation controller, it has been the same design for several years, from the PS1 right through to the PS3. I am not anti apple nor am I an android fan boy, and the above comments are just my personal opinions and thoughts.

When I switched from the 4s to the galaxy nexus it was incredibly liberating.

I can't tell you what a good feeling it was to have a keyboard that worked reliably, true email experience (full threaded messages, and your entire mailbox in hand - not the lame 2 to 3 weeks that ios mail keeps), the ability to toggle off my lock screen when at home (it sucked having to enter your pin every single time), the consistent back and menu buttons (instead of figuring out whether the settings for an app was in the app itself or in the general ios settings menu), and all the little things like the fact that I wasn't tied to iTunes to do everything or that it didn't kick me out of the play store every time I downloaded something (it would just do it in the background. Luckily ios 6 fixed this). The big screen and notification light all helped the experience tremendously, too.

There was no difficult remorse or detox period when I switched. It was quite the opposite. Freedom felt good.

So you must imagine what it means to look at the iPhone and ios today. I see it as going back to being locked down to apple's way or the highway. I see it as going back to a small cramped screen. I see it as going backwards from freedom to purgatory.

So do I miss the iPhone? I think you have your answer.
