I'm on day 2 of a Dbrand carbon fiber skin. My first skin ever.

So far I like it. Adds grip. I hate cases but I cannot use my 6 Plus bare. It's incredibly slippery. Really wish Apple could give us an iPhone that isn't slippery bare.

I always use a case..so it doesn't get scratched up for resale value. The phone is more of a tool to me rather than a piece of art. Also, I find the phones too slippery for use without a case.

dropped mine today from height, (Toyota Landcrusier), BANG, face down, "I hope it's not busted" yep it is.

First time i've dropped an iPhone from 3 all the way to 6+, repaired in an hour and now has a skin.

Damn it, but it's pretty small, so i'm happy for the time being.

It is my opinion that the 6+ is just way too slippery to be used naked. 6? Good form factor for most people to use naked, but 6+? Need a case, especially in a non-humid environment. I use an Anker case http://www.amazon.com/Anker-SlimShell-Ultra-Slim-Protective-Compatible/dp/B013WQ8K4G/ref=sr_1_7?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1459311919&sr=1-7&keywords=anker+iphone+6+ if I'm going out and planning on using my phone a lot for Ingress or photos. Otherwise most of the time I have a Caudabe case on the phone - http://www.amazon.com/Caudabe-iPhon...1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage because if I could I'd be going caseless.

I don't use cases and my past iPhones have been in good condition. But for some reason my rose gold 6S is looking really rough after half a year. Never been dropped...

Maybe my hand sweat is corrosive now.

I recently got an iPhone 6s and it is so thin and beautiful i just can't put a case on it. I've tried a few cases and they just make it to bulky and add to much weight. It just feels so much better without protection. Anyone else refuse to put a case on their Iphone?
this thread appears every few months....
I'd like to keep my iPhone caseless, but the last iPhone I took that way was the 3GS...
To preserve resale value and keep it protected I have to use a silicone Apple case.

I get a new phone every year and have since he original iPhone. I've never put a case on any of them. If you treat them well, they wear better than phones with cases (the case gathers little bits of grit that create micro scratches under the case).

I can't imagine putting a case on this 6S Plus.
tell me the first time it accidentally drops on the concrete :(

iphone without a case? Nice joke :D
do you collect cases ?

I have 3 Apple silicone cases (3 different colors) plus the "iHump": you are doing even better

Honestly, do you think Tim Cook uses a case on his personal iPhone?
I just think Tim Cook can get a new iPhone every time he scratches his, and doesn't bother to resell his the next year....

I'm going to initially try no case on my SE, but will have a case & bumper or 2 standing by...

Since I've been on the 6 and then 6s, having no case was strictly not even a possibility (so damned slippery) that I've forgotten how nice it can be to have a bare phone be firmly under control in your grip. Excited to try it again!

If it ever, happens, sure. But you also have to figure that with all the cases I've not purchased, I've saved up way more than enough to pay for several AC+ replacements. :) I could drop it on the concrete, replace the phone, and still be ahead.

I've always had some sort of protection on my iPhones.

I used to just go with a skin from bestskinsever, but since iPhone 5, I've been using cases. With my 6 I got the Apple battery case - I don't necessarily like the look of it, but I do like the extended useage because of it.

Big fan of the Caudabe. It's like not having a case, but at least you don't get your phone scratched up like the fella with the rose gold photos in this thread. I'm a bigger fan of the Veil XT rather than the Veil you linked to on Amazon. I don't think the Veil XT is available on Amazon. I've gotten a few for friends and family straight from the Caudabe website: http://www.caudabe.com/collections/iphone-6s-accessories/products/the-veil-xt-iphone-6s-wisp

I"m getting a Rose Gold SE for my wife and a Gold SE for myself tomorrow. These are our first iPhones and I ordered a couple nice transparent cases of Amazon for $7 each. That way the phones are protected but you can still fully see them.

Thank you - I am also a huge fan of Caudabe - just ordered the Veil XT for my 6+. Thanks for the recommendation!

I just ordered this for the SE and I think it's going to look fantastic.

Not sure if I'll try it without a case. Maybe...the 6s is definitely too slippery for no case.

I don't use cases anymore. When I got the first iPhone on launch day in 2007 I had one of those clear acrylic cases on it....sand got in and scratched it all up. After that I decided the case thing was all just a scam lol. You pay so much money for something that someone painstakingly designed...why hide it behind an ugly cheap case.

My feelings exactly.

Of course, there are some people that enjoy the cases or can't seem to keep their phones in their hands, or whatever, and benefit from one, but every time I see someone post something about how they threw a thin $7 case or a $15 plastic shell or whatever on their phone, my inner-geek weeps and is scared, afraid that I'll cover my gorgeous, stunning piece of high-precision technological marvel with something that's meant to be disposable. It's like giving your lady (or man, insert gender here as appropriate) a back rub with surgical gloves on. My hands want to feel my iPhone, not some piece of cheap plastic.

But that's just me. :)

There's a rather are thread on corrosion. This is the worst I've seen (admittedly haven't looked much but I pop in the thread here and there). Most images I've seen were minor.

I'm looking for a thin case. Got a link?
The Spigen clear case I bought actually isn't listed anymore for some reason. That's too bad because the clear case I have is rubberized and protects the phone from shocks very well. Plus the case lets me show off the beauty of the design. There's still not a single scratch on my case or on my 6+.

Edit: sorry, found it lol. They changed stuff around a little since I bought it.

iPhone 6 Plus Case, Spigen [AirSkin] Ultra-Thin [Soft Clear] Premium Lightweight / Exact Fit / NO Bulkiness Hard Case for iPhone 6 Plus (2014) - Soft Clear (SGP11157) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MEZ5CXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_Fxe.wbY8R2Y6S

I managed to get it for $7. It's a little more now, but still not bad for a good case like that.

I'd take a bit of extra weight and size for extra protection, and increased resell ability later on for upgrading.

I love how thin the iPhone is, but the idea of my iPhone dropping naked onto the pavement spooks me.
