Anyone in the UK got a C2D MBP yet?

Now that is weird. I rang TNT this morning and the woman put a compliant through to support for me and said that they would ring me back. I was just walking out the door to play tennis when a van pulled up, with nothing in it but my laptop!

Anyway, ive got it now! YAY. However, 1st thing I notice is that the screen is slightly warped and doesnt sit flush when closed on one side (which apparently is a know problem looking around here. Just about to turn the screen on.
Do you think I should take it to the apple store about the non flush screen, or just leave it. It doesnt really get closed much anyway.

cool chas! glad your wait is over. What side is the case warped? On mine, both sides don't quite sit flush, but (if you're looking at it straight-on, with trackpad closest to you) the left side seems to sit a little higher than the right.

Not a major issue for me, I'd tend to leave it - certainly for now. when stocks have stabilised, and if the problem gets worse I might take it in. But if I leave it 3 months, I wonder if they can then try to claim that its my fault...

I have barely used it, since i have college and damn stupid battery calibration makes me keep it at home.

Thanks . Yeah its the left side. Slightly annoying, but its not the end of the world. Also, noticed I have a stuck pixel, but thats not a problem as I cant even see it most of the time. I think ill leave it and let it go for the min, as I dont carry it around alot anyway so the screen not being flush isnt the biggest issue in the world.

From Apple:

That should still be on the 12th or before for delivery..

The after sales team think that when it said the 7th it meant delivery to the UK from the far east to Davenport (our depo)

So delivery should still be the 12th..

How long after the apple tracking details updated to WALSH WESTERN UKDC did everybody get their MBP?

If mine updated this morning do I still have a chance of receiving my MBP by tomorrow evening?

hard to say wooky - mine never went to walsh (not that i saw). I'd say that if, by tomorrow AM its updated for UPS you've got a decent chance of getting it that day. But perhaps Walsh IS sending it for you, in that case I'd say you have a very good chance of getting it by tomorrow.

Perhaps call up Apple and ask them to confirm which company will be delivering your package, and where its currently at?

wooky, mine was delivered on the 7th, "billing info rec'd" ocurred on the 6th, you might still get it

Ah believe it or not its my third haha.

You will love it. I have yet to find anyone who has used OSX and prefers windows.

Let us know how you get on with it and how you like it. Im still finding new things to do with it and ive been using OSX for well over a year and a half now.

Yes .. I'm more than happy to have my MBP turns up in around 7 working days!! (ordered on the night of 31st Oct, received it yesterday) I haven't open up the box yet, will do this at home or otherwise I won't get anything work related done today ..

ironically, I've had mine all week but been busy with this and that...have barely had a chance to use it. Can't wait to get stuck in this weekend!
