Are you certain there’s no MagSafe? It says wireless charging. I mean they invented the MagSafe standard for Qi 2??? I mean it doesn’t even say FaceID on the main page but when comparing it has it???No MagSafe kills it imo
It's basically the replacement for the iPhone 14 in the lineup. It has a similar design but the upgraded processor and the same price.600$ for a “budget” phone….
Get real
"crippled" with an A18! 😂This is awful. It's crippled with the A18 chip. Already a year behind, because every other iPhone that is released this year will have an A19.
Look at the asymmetrical design and terrible reviews. I am no Apple fan but I don’t think you’re comparing remotely similar products.$599 usd is 852 CAD, you can get a budget Samsung a16 for $269 CAD

Because the general consumer is ****ing brainless. They will sell plenty..regardless of the naysayers
This might sound silly to some, but once you have it / you're used to it, it's pretty great. No MagSafe kills it imo

Well, when the modem is not functioning you will save on batteryThe device is also equipped with an Apple-designed 5G modem
Edit: For people laughing or disagreeing with the comment – seems like this iPhone gives 3 hours more battery life, compared to the standard 16. I assume most of that is because of the Apple's modem. And there's a potential for this to be even more noticeable for devices such as the Pro Max, where the battery is larger.
Marginsexpensive. Why did they discontinue the great SE pricing policy? I don't get it.
Isn't that what "best" means?Curious about Apple saying that this is the best battery in a 6.1 inch phone, a claim that they make on the website.
Does that mean it has a better battery than the regular 16?
but do you get charging? Is there a case that plugs in via USB and provides MagSafe/Qi charging? That might be palatable…Easy to retrofit with a case. But yeah that kind of anti-consumer penny pinching is a hallmark of Tim Cook's Apple.
What does the "e" even mean?
eXpensive
Egregious
expensive.
Expensive
Expensive.
What makes you think that the modem doesn't function?Well, when the modem is not functioning you will save on battery
iPhone 14… already existed. It's basically the replacement for the iPhone 14 in the lineup. It has a similar design but the upgraded processor and the same price.
Wireless charging, but not MagSafe…how much more would that have cost? $1.50 in magnets? And now Apple has no iPhone below $599? That’s just nuts. Apple Intelligence seems more like an excuse for them to raise the prices of the iPhone for everyone to get in on the action and get rid of value pricing for those who could care less about AI.Ugh- No MagSafe?!
For Real?
TOTAL deal breaker in my view
I'm way in on MagSafe now
When has Tim Apple ever put profit before the customer? They can’t sell small iPhone. It would have to be cheaper. Tim doesn’t like that.
Apple today introduced the iPhone 16e, its newest entry-level smartphone. The device succeeds the third-generation iPhone SE, which has now been discontinued.
