I'd like to know also. I applied on the 18th and for two more positions on the 25th and haven't heard anything. I even had a friend who has worked in this position for a while recommend me and send in my resume. I'm hoping to at least have a chance at this opportunity
Woohoo! Congrats! I'll be there June 1st as well!
Good job Pastel - glad to hear it!

Hey Everyone, I just applied for the AHA position Chat and based on the comments I'm not feeling really confident about it. I also didn't include a cover letter, I'm a bit nervous. Hopefully it will not take months for some type of response. I currently work for ATT customer service but they are cutting jobs. Oh and congrats to everyone who's gotten a job!
Guys and Gals, I wouldn't sweat it too much. I applied for the AHA back around March 25th and got my 1st initial interview on April 8th, I believe it was. Then the 2nd interview was on the 13th and the 3rd and final was on the 15th. I wouldn't give up any hope just yet. I applied on the Apple site and didn't include a cover letter and things went just fine. Really excited to get started.
That's true, and that's also what scares me. Gah I just need to stop thinking about it so much.
That's really all you can do is stop worrying. Did you apply on the Apple site or through a third party?
yea, you've got to land something if you applied to 4 different positions. I am going to be anxious to find out what happens with you. I'm glad I found this site and this thread with all these people that are going through the same thing. It has some helpful information.
Thanks! And congrats on your new position, are you doing calls or chat?
received the offer call....June 8th class!
Okay, I've gone through a good portion of all these threads, but there are just so many posts and I haven't seen anything like my scenario yet.
So, here's my story.
I applied for the graveyard chat position on Monday. Got a call today and went through a short phone screen. The recruiter said she was moving me on to the next part of the process and scheduled a HireVue interview for early next week.
People have mentioned that they ask a couple of technical questions. I have no problem with the customer service aspect, but I DO have issues with the tech aspect. I'm pretty good with technology, but I know next to nothing about Apple products and I have NO on-the-job tech support experience (all of this was mentioned in my app/cover letter). In fact, the only Apple product that I own is an old iPod Shuffle. I've used iTunes and QuickTime and I've seen some version of OS X, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.
Has anyone else who is so unfamiliar with Apple products gotten an offer? I've read that it's more about enthusiasm, empathy and customer service, but I'm so incredibly nervous about the tech side. I'd love to hear from someone who was ignorant about Apple products - how did you make it through the interview(s)? Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
