Yes! :) I was pleasantly surprised, since I love working graveyard shift and I always figured it'd be way more fun to do chat support than phone support. though it seems I won't be starting until late June early July... it seems forever away.

Though really, I'd love to just get my BGC back already. Even though there should be nothing to worry about, I'm suddenly afraid some random little thing is going to take away this amazing opportunity.
I have been waiting on my background check to process since 4/29 and they didn't even ask for my w-2 ...I called them and they are waiting to hear back from my county ( I don't have so much as a speeding ticket) . Bureaucracy at its finest... Can't wait to start

Hey all,

I'm currently waiting for 'HireRight' to do the background check. How long do they normally take? I don't have an extensive job history or education background.

Also, I'm going through the college program (Ireland)

EDIT: Excuse my laziness for not reading the 5 comments above me.

Congratulations!! How long did your background check take?

Thanks for asking! My background check took a few days to complete. I received the HireRight email 2 days after I was given a verbal offer (pending bgc) by phone. I filled it out the same day. HireRight completed the background check within 48 hours. I called HireRight a few days after submitting it and they said that they sent the info to Apple. Then it took 10 days for Apple to contact me saying my paperwork was on the way and that I had passed and was offered a job.

Also I found out during the paperwork call that I had been moved from graveyard shift chat training to day shift chat training. I followed up with the recruiter to make sure that was correct and yes, I am in the day shift training class starting 6/1.

I would suggest calling HireRight to check on the status. You might find out where the snag is and help nag the right people to respond! Or it might be complete and just waiting on Apple to do something with it.

For those of you wanting/accepting/already working a full time chat position, do they guarantee 40 hours? And is there ever overtime?

I've applied before, had a 1st interview and was scheduled for a 2nd, but had a family emergency out of town and had to cancel the 2nd interview. Want to reapply, but the $ is on the low side for what I need to target and would be especially problematic if I didn't get full time hours.

When you are hired for full time work you will be given a 40 hour schedule.

Overtime is available and highly encouraged during busy times.

Someone who is already working as an advisor can chime in with more detail about overtime availability.

My background check is finally complete! How long did it take to get the offer call after your. Background check?

So my BGC is completed and I was told I would be starting in 6/8 class however I have not gotten "the call". Anyone else that starts 6/8 already got the call and scheduled paperwork session? Getting a little nervous over here

Hello everyone! New user here. I just submitted my application for the AHA position on May 5. I've read through a good portion of this thread to get a feel of what to expect. I have a few years of experience in tech support and a degree in CIS so I'm just hoping I get a call back soon.

I just had my first interview by phone a couple days ago, anyone else? I have been told starting in July, FT if passed. No specifics. I'm nervous for interview #2! I was told to have good open ended questions prepared to go through the scenarios with the next Recruiter. Anyone else going through this at the same time as me?

I had mine today. Second interview is Thursday.
Starting in July as well.
I spoke to someone who just started and she said the interview isn't hard. Good luck!

Just applied

Hi guys! Im so glad to have found this thread I just discovered the apple chat advisor position online and applied today and hope to get an interview call. I don't have much experience only about 6 months of call center and 2 years of retail experience. But I'm a recent college grad and really wanted this job!

Does everyone get a call?? Do you think they will even consider my resume??

what is the pay for the home chat advisor position??

Thanks guys!:)

I've been gradually applying to multiple AHA positions. Is there a possibility of getting multiple calls for different locations?

I applied on April 18th and for two more positions on the 25th. I haven't heard anything so not sure everyone gets a call. I was even referred by another aha employee. Maybe you'll have better luck. Everything always happens for a reason :)

Do they send out a rejection email even if they decide not to give you the first call? It's been a month since I applied for the college position and I've heard absolutely nothing.

My background check was finished on Thursday the 7th. How long does it normally take to hear back from Apple? I'm assuming if the background check is complete with no problems, there's no reason for them to not hire you? They wouldn't pay a company to do a background check on someone they're not going to hire, right?

Is it fair to ask what kind of keywords did you put in your application to help your resume be found. My resume has gaps from when I had my kids and I believe that may be affecting my chances. I put down that I volunteered at their school for the past few years. I have previous customer and technical background.

If anyone has any advice, I am open to hearing it. I truly wish I could get an interview or be referred by someone. If anyone is willing to refer me, please pm me.

Thanks

They called me 2 or 3 days after my BGC said complete.

I think I put customer service, at home advisor, technology, call center. I had some gaps too but that didn't affect it. I applied probably 5 times before I got a call. Just keep applying to different cities. I think a cover letter helps too.
