Hey all,

I have a question regarding your interview process.

I'm seeing a lot of posts about 2nd and 3rd interviews (and even some video interviews), and then the background checks and paperwork.

I had one phone interview, got congratulated, and they cleared me for doing the paperwork. Does this mean I have more interviews that weren't mentioned, or did I just do pretty well on the first one? I do know they're getting really close to a training class time, so maybe that's it?

Does anyone else have any idea what this means?

edit:
"Congratulations! You’ve successfully completed the phone interview step of our process which is the final interview you’ll need to complete. From this point you will receive an email and a phone call from our team inviting you to complete the full Kelly application. Once that is complete, we’ll work with you to complete your I-9 and sign a few documents necessary to continue in the process. "

You applied via Kelly and it sounds like they have a different process. Most of what people are talking about on this forum are Apple direct applications. There are a few posts from folks who have gone the Kelly or Xerox route too.

That makes sense. Not sure why I didn't think of that. I'm smart sometimes.

Anyone else had a bit of a frustrating time with HireRight? They seem to be resisting actually calling my current employer, who is an online company with whom my status is as independent contractor. I get paid via PayPal. I can't provide any of the documentation they're requesting, but the employer is awaiting their call. It's definitely verifiable via phone. Now I'm stressed again.

Anyone else had a similar experience that turned out OK?

No help, but crossing fingers you get it cleared up soon.

Good luck to you! Which offer are you leaning towards?

Between those two? Definitely Xerox.

Apple chat is what I truly want and I'm just being impatient about not hearing from them though Friday I received notification that my profile was incomplete so I'm hoping it's mostly due to that.

That's probably all it is. I applied to about 6 positions one day and about 3 days later I got a call. How many positions did you apply for?

Um. Too many to count? I haven't applied to all of them, but it's close. A bit embarrassing, yes. Every time my phone rings I hope it is Apple. I only applied to chat positions. If I got my dream pick, it'd be one of the iTunes ones.

Just finished up my 2nd interview, it was nice to start out. We did have a few connection problems, but the recruiter was patient. She was running a bit late. She asked questions about my previous work history for AT&T which I explained. It is for the chat position and I'm really nervous and not so confident because I freaked out when we did the role play via chat. I was going slowly and I did have one typo. She said I would hear back by the beginning of next week, not sure If thats a definite rejection or what. But I am most definitely nervous and upset with myself.

Mine is just waiting on a response from a county I use to live in. I called the Superior court criminal clerk and she says she hasn't received a request. Smh

Thanks oomiezoomie, that really helps ease my mind.

One thing we're learning is that nothing is definite until it really happens. Even though the role play felt slow, how did the scenario itself go?

----------

Yeah, doesn't it make you wonder what method they use for the checking. I would think so much of our info is available in the many background research sources, but for other things it almost sounds manual.

I'm going to guess their system is built to not allow recruiters to move forward until the profile is complete. Look for those 408 area code calls to start flooding in any day now! Wait ... I'm a little confused. You already have an offer from Xerox? When do you have to let them know?

That's what I'm hoping, that their system won't let them move on with incomplete and perhaps someone was already looking at mine. I'm ready for those calls! I passed their qualifications and I'm on to the next round, no formal offer yet. I'm just kind of waiting. I went a little apply crazy over the weekend and think I should've held off a little longer but I was a bit too eager.

The scenerio went ok, I had to manage two chats in one chat box (which was tricky) But I asked a few questions tried to use empathy where I could and than she stopped me and that was it. :(

Well guys I got the "thanks for playing" email...

Needless to say a part of me felt this, with all the issues I had with my scheduling that I mentioned in the second and third interviews...I probably should've done that if/when I got the welcome call.

I neglected to find out how long we have to wait until applying for a new position though. I'll have to sift through the thread first.

Well I guess I can go through Kelly or Xerox and pray that works.
