I won't quote you in case you delete your post. I am going to guess than any third party staffing company working with Apple has a strong non-poaching agreement that Apple won't hire applicants from the third party for some specified time period.

Most staffing and temp agencies have these agreements with employers.

Separate from this response to the post above, why is the graveyard shift so popular, at least seemingly so among applicants on this forum? I find it very surprising. I'm a day shift only applicant and haven't read anyone else who recently had that preference.

I would much rather have a day shift, but I'm open to night shift if it gets me on with Apple quicker. I thought they'd have a harder time getting graveyard shift but it doesn't appear so.

I've decided to hold off on anything Apple third party related for now. I'm still just waiting somewhat patiently.

Replying to the same person that this reply is intended for. I found that by selecting multiple options on the reason why I want to work for Apple got me a response - I think. At least I submitted almost 40 applications online selecting "I'm a mac enthusiast" and it wasn't until I selected "I enjoy helping people" that I finally got called. Really - I don't think it's a coincidence.

Still waiting... so glad the interviewing part is over for me...

And you are wise to wait it out. I didn't know this existed when I started my old position. And as great as it was to get in with apple any way possible, the perks of going internally are massive compared to contractor route.

Interesting. I was not clicking "I want to get people to switch from pc to Mac" or "I need a job". The last app I clicked them all.

Question: is helping people the ONLY box you clicked on the app that got you called?

I think the cover letter would be way more important than those checked boxes! At least, I hope! The cover letter is what separates the wheat from the chaff, no?

Haha, I hope so! I'm grasping at straws. # it's just something obviously gets some profiles in front of human eyes and not others.

You are cracking me up, so I feel like I'm in good company. I'm ready for a straightjacket with an Apple logo on it. I did just learn to make lemon drop martinis. Those and binge watching HBO Now helps a little.

And cheers to everyone who just interviewed. The waves are getting bigger it seems.

Lol yes we are in this together. Straight jackets and padded rooms with embroidered Apple logos on it. Lemon drop martinis sound good.
I read your post after everyone going for graveyard. I'll be daytime chat in July. They've extended my expected date of completion for bgc until next week. Ughhhhhhhhhhh

Well, if it helps any, I'm still waiting for the offer-pending-bgc call. But I'd be starting in July, so I'm sure there's time yet.

I just had my 2nd interview thought it went well but I was told the interviewer would check with the hiring mgrs and I would hear NEXT WEEK (wth!)

I know I won't get a 3rd interview, no reason to fool myself thinking I will.

I mean most people are told they would move on during their 2nd interview from what I read.

I don't know if I'll apply again, pretty aggravated at the moment

Don't lose hope! I asked every interviewer if I was moving on to the next round and each one told me they couldn't say because they would gather to discuss all the candidates once interviewiny was done. And yet I am starting with live chat (day shift) on June 1st.

That's awesome, runsamok! Congrats. :) the previous interviewer finally queued me in on where I would be stationed if hired. Much to my delight, iOS AHA (non chat).

I sent the thank you email and read it through 3 times before sending and about 20 times after sending it. Only on the 19th time did I find two typos. But I sent it with sincerity and enthusiasm. So... I don't think it will count against me. (I hope.)

Hey everyone, I finished my third interview for chat on Wednesday... Still waiting... It's soooo hard! I'm going nuts! But I had a question. If you start out at mid day shift is there any chance of ever moving around like to graveyard, or will forever what u get be what you get? Just curious...

So has anyone got there training date for this month coming in june aka june 21 to be exact date? I also want know if anyone can say what the 1st day of training consist of?

Hi there, if you get through the interview process (here's hoping you do!) there will be clear instructions regarding what will happen on your first day. I'm starting June 1st and for the last week I've received email after email with info about benefits, what the first day is like, what we will cover, etc.

Mshipman - Did you send your thank you email to the recruiter? I am going to send one today since my last interview was yesterday. Also, did you get a call telling you, you had the job? If so, how long after your 3rd interview did you hear something? Thanks!

I sent the email to the second interviewer. Apparently she's the recruiter. I mentioned both her and my third interviewer by name and mentioned some specifics about why I am excited to be considered for Apple.

No call yet. I reckon I'll be waiting for a week at least.

Keep in mind (I'm talking to myself), just how busy all these recruiters are right now trying to fill slots for Apple.

I did the same with a thank you follow up. Just two sentences expressing thanks and enthusiasm and looking forward to their response. I got a call 3 business days (evening on the third was a voicemail) after the third interview.

And this being a short holiday week, I'm sure that crunches the recruiters' time even more.

Well. This will be the third business day. :) let's see if there's a pattern, Semiquaver. :)
