Anyone hired with the college program receive an official start date? I completed my interview and the "official" application and was invited to a virtual info session. I am wondering if I should expect to receive the BGC request after that.

Trying to figure out start date for the college program summer training.

Thanks in advance!

My path so far has been as follows:

1. Cold interview with a recruiter
2. Fill out online application
3. Recruiter interview #2
4. Team Manager interview
5. Received BGC e-mail (BGC took 3 business days for me)
6. BGC complete, waiting on input from Apple as to next steps.
7. Recruiter called 2/26/14 to welcome me to Apple and see if I am still interested (start date 3/31/14 IOS support), scheduled paperwork call
8. Paperwork call completed 3/5/14. All paperwork has to be FedEx back to Apple no later than 3/19/14.

You should e-mail your recruiter because the path may be different for college hires.

If you've only completed one interview, you probably have one more to go. You're supposed to interview with a recruiter, then a Team Manager.

Thank you

I have been browsing these forums for awhile now. Thank you everyone for the information.

I got the official call from my recruiter today offering me a job. I'll work with Apple Care and start on the 31st of March.

If I remember correctly, the person I interviewed with was a team manager. It lasted for an hour, we did role playing scenarios etc. She said I should hear something within two weeks. Just wondering when training classes start in the event I am selected. I'll (try) to be patient. I have the info session on Friday. What do these entail?

Okay. I just received a voicemail from the recruiter who has been taking my information and she was very cheery. She said she has an "update about my employment" and left me a call back number. So I just recently called back since I'm just getting off work (7:30 EST). I left her a VM and I will follow up with her tomorrow. Should I be worried? Or excited?

BTW tmrw will be 4 weeks since I did my BGC.

What would your start date be if you do get the job?

My start date will be the first week of May . I haven't heard of anyone here who's starting that late! Lol

I don't think there's another interview because my first interviewer said there wouldn't be, but then again you never know! I'm going to call her around noon, I will keep you all updated.

Well, as I said earlier I put in for the AHA Pro position in my state and was contacted within 3 days. Unfortunately, Apple does not allow students attending classes on campus to fill Pro positions. They do however allow you to take online classes.

Too bad I'm going for engineering.

The recruiter I spoke to did inquire with the university recruiting section and they said since they didn't have an agreement with my university it wasn't possible to apply for the student positions.

Ah, well. AHA would have been the perfect job for my situation.

Interview help

I have my scond interview this week via Skype. Can someone please tell me what to expect. I understand they are looking for empathy, I have more than 7 years in customer service and can show empathy. I am more looking for the questions they ask about technology. I'm not a very tech savy person.

I would really suggest going over the questions in the first thread, they really helped me to prepare.
