Thanks, I haven't heard anything either for the chat postion. I was nervous bc I received a couple calls that I missed from an unavailable number that didn't leave a message. I was hoping that I didn't miss a call from the recruiter. I was actually considering making a new profile and reapplying. I'm going to go to the interview tomorrow and let them know. Good luck to us!

Yes, good luck to us! I think Apple number shows up on the caller ID when they do call. If not, they definitely leave messages so long as your voicemail is set up. They are very thorough so if no one left a message you should be good. I'm thinking that they haven't gotten around to contacting people back about the position yet.

----------

Apple has as of this date, never hired directly into technical support chat. If you applied for a chat job, it must be iTunes chat support.

"As an Apple At Home Chat Advisor, you will work from home supporting many of our popular products, from iPhones to iPads to MacBooks to desktop Macs. As our customers’ first point of contact, you’ll be the friendly voice of Apple, providing award-winning customer service support, troubleshooting, and support primarily via our chat channel."

That looks like technical support to me.

San Jose, CA is what showed up on my caller ID.

Mac Support on the Phones. I previously worked for Apple in the Stores for a few years, back a few years ago. The process getting this job was fairly quick.

^^^ What he said. It took Apple more than a month to contact me after my resume was submitted by a friend. After the initial contact the process moved along much faster. After the first contact I was hired in 3 weeks. I start March 31.

Are you doing Mac OS or iOS?
I was so excited to get the call I forgot to ask what I was going to be working with lol.

I am working IOS. I actually didn't find out until the paperwork call :).

Yo! The paperwork gets sent by FedEx right? Because I moved from the address they were supposedly sending it to, and now FedEx says they have nothing being sent to that address. My recruiter already sent out the package so the only way to reroute it is with a tracking number and I can't get in contact with her :-/

They emailed soft copies the day before for anyone who hadn't received their packet yet.

Let me know if you hired and it's technical not iTunes. If not, I'll laugh when you consult about syncing.

If someone could answer my question that would be great.

I previously worked for apple 7 months but have since left. I started out as Mac phone support, then got dual skilled for iOS phone support, then during the holiday rush I was iOS chat which was a blast. After the holidays I left Apple because a better job opportunity came up. MissyMay1982, I will say that by the sound of what you asked it seems that you will get rejected, although I could be wrong but just my two cents. If anyone would like send me a private message or ask me any questions here. I will be truthful about my answers and tell you how it is when working the job from home.

Dude, you can laugh as hard as you need to if that makes you feel good. The point is to be hired by Apple, I have no issue with technical support or iTunes...I doubt that anyone else does either. Once again, from what I read, that looks like technical support to me. Obviously you believe you're some kind of Apple knowledge God and you have issues with someone challenging anything you've said. I have a mind of my own buddy. iTunes or tech support, either way i'm good.

I concur. It doesn't matter what project you support, a job with Apple is hard to get so be proud no matter where you go. I'm so thankful that they hired me and I'm not embarrassed to tell people where I work.

Don't be afraid to reach out to your recruiter if you don't get an offer. You have the right to know why they didn't hire you. If you don't get hired please don't give up!

I have my facetime interview Monday ... kinda nervous but not really as I have done customer service and tech support for a long while now ... for my three references I used 1 manager and two actual customers of mine that have contacted management in places I have worked to comment and compliment me on my outstanding attention and detail to customer service ... Hopefully that will help me some as well .... To all that are interviewing good luck and hope we all get it ....

My thoughts exactly. Congrats to you on being hired. I'm feeling pretty confident, just have to be patient now.

Did they ask you to list references on the application? Or you put on resume. Because I was not asked to list referenes...?
