Hi all,
I'm back again with a question. I applied early in the summer of 2015 and was contacted by a recruiter, did the initial interview, and was set up for second interview. After mulling it over, I ultimately passed on the job the first time (I cancelled my 2nd interview). I couldn't get past the fact that I'd have to work on holidays.
However, now I've applied for a role at the retail store nearby me, which is different than an AHA role. Since last time I applied, the company I was working for back then went under, and I was able to go freelance with some clients I had from my old company. (yes, I realize the retail store also = many holidays, but circumstances have also changed where this isn't such an issue for me)
So should I get to the point of HireRight with a retail store role, how would freelance work be accounted for with HireRight?
I started my own LLC with it, but I have no employees, and as the owner/CEO of it I don't have anyone to "verify" that time worked for me except myself...or HireRight contacting clients of mine. I don't really want them to call my clients, because I don't want clients to know I'm thinking of closing my business and leaving them out in the cold. I won't have a 1099 or a W2 because I'm a single member LLC and I put aside taxes to pay quarterly, and then I don't have pay stubs either because I write myself a check for salary out of business checking. I do have invoices etc. and payment receipts from clients if that helps, but they're in the name of my business and not with my specific personal name on it.
I'm a little cart before horse here, but I'd like to be prepared? Anyone else deal with freelance work + HireRight before and be cleared to start working?
