I had a friend get an email for interview today

Glad to hear that they might be moving forward. Good luck to your friend. I am hoping to hear something soon. I could really use this job and have been applying for all the At home advisor positions.

I have had my initial phone pre screen, a FaceTime, and a video interview all last week. They're definitely calling.

Can anyone who is an AppleCare advisor or applying for one help me understand my status? I applied for AppleCare's College Program a month ago. Few days ago i got an email telling me they want to move forward and schedule a video chat interview. I did the chat interview on Wednesday April 9th and then did a second video chat interview on Friday. Since then I have not received any emails. Can anyone explain the stage I am in and if it is likely I already got the job or they are still deciding.

Still deciding.

Good luck to you. I am still hopeful that I will get a call, but not all that hopeful anymore. I applied to almost all the at home positions on Apple's site. I had a friend who worked as an At Home Advisor tell me that its possible my cover letter was weak or something that they wouldn't call. I definitely have a great resume and 10 years as a help desk analyst. I thought my answers to the questionairre was good too and that same friend agreed my answers were good. Kind of frustrating, but I still have to keep my hopes up. Anybody have any other tips to getting noticed or would like to share/review things with me?

I received my Offer letter on March 22. Finished all my paperwork and BGC, but have not heard from anyone yet. I have reached out to my recruiter, in which she said if I have any questions to do so. But no one has returned my emails/ phone calls. Is this normal? My start date is 4/21 and that is coming up fast. Can anyone assist, this is new to me. Not having someone return my calls or emails

Same over here, I had my third interview today. I am very, very nervous. This job is a dream and I was pretty nervous during the interview, I hope they overlook that! Did they give you any indication at all on how you did at the end of the call? My interviewers were so friendly, but hard to read. After all was said and done they simply ended the call with "you will hear back within 2 weeks", which I heard is pretty standard.
Have you gotten an offer yet?

I received my Offer letter on March 22, that's why I am confused. I finished everything they have sent me, including the authorization for the BGC. Nothing back, even though I have reached out to my recruiter repeatedly. My offer letter says I start on the 21st

I figured I would update this thread with a new experience.

I had my first email from my recruiter on 4/4, the first call the next day, 4/5.
Initially this call just asked about my experience at my last job and why I left. I was also asked "why apple?" as well.

Second call was on 4/6 which was supposed to be a facetime interview. That call lasted about 4 minutes due to a bad connection. My recruiter was very nice and told me that it wouldn't affect my chances at all, that these things happen, and we continued on the phone again. It was essentially the same as the first interview, going over my experience again, except there were a few "what if" questions. "What would you do if Customers phone isn't charging", "what would you do if customer couldn't get sound through his speakers." Finally 1 role-playing scenario where I walked the customer through on how to fix his email that wasn't working. I was told I was being passed on to the third interview and to look for an email.
I got the email the next day and set up my third interview for today, 4/11. The email says you will receive information for the interview through HireVue within 24 hours. This. Is. Not. True. I got my email the day before my interview (so don't freak out!)

I don't want to freak anyone out, but I reviewed all the questions on this forum and practiced them the best that I could..... They did not ask a single question on this forum. (that I saw, anyway!) I'm not saying this to freak anyone out at all, more so to say be prepared for anything. First of all, and I wasn't expecting this at all, there were 2 people interviewing me, which threw me off. They bounced back and forth asking questions.
I didn't have many technical questions at all, but we went over my resume first. They asked questions about things I put on my resume and why I put them. What I considered good customer service AND a time I experienced it that stood out to me. How I deal with "aggressive" customers (NOT irate.). A time I went above and beyond for a customer. A time that my supervisor stood behind and watched me and coached me on something and how did I work with that to improve myself. Several more like this.
We moved on to roleplaying. The first was a mouse couldn't connect, it was an apple mouse, but apparently not bluetooth, it was connected with a USB.
Second was customer's iPad was showing that it was connected and had the little charging symbol, but his computer wasn't recognizing it. In both scenarios all answers were "no, that didn't fix it" I believe to test your critical thinking ability. In the second one, I literally said "oh gosh" after a few seconds of not being able to think of anything else (I don't recommend doing that lol) to which the interviewer ended the scenario and asked what I would do in instances like that where I hit a wall.

All in all, the third interview was a lot harder than I was expecting. I know I could have done better, but I hope I did okay!

I saw that. I imagine they are just swamped right now with all the hiring that they are doing. Is your background check showing complete?
I know it's getting close to the time you start, but from reading this it seems they overnight things out, so hopefully you get it soon! If all else fails, a few days before your start date, perhaps give your recruiter a call instead of emailing.

Do you know someone still working there? I had a friend send in my resume and I believe that's how they found me. I too applied to every single opening. I didn't have a cover letter either, just a resume.

I had my orientation today!!! I'm so excited to start training next Tuesday!!! Anyone else starting Tuesday?

How long did it take to hear back from them?
How did you do in your third interview? I was nervous and said "um" probably a few times too many. I thought I did okay , but knew I could have done better, wondering if you had the same outlook and still got hired?
Also for your BGC did they need any additional documentation from you?

I am hired through KellyConnect so I only had 2 video interview. The BGC took a couple of days. My interview was fine I wasn't nervous at all. My interviewer made me feel comfortable.

No, unfortunately I do not know of anyone still working there. The person that I knew left there last year for another job. I kept applying to all the at home positions. What was weird though was yesterday I applied to one and I heard from someone not even 10 minutes after I submitted it. Not sure if they were contacting me anyways or if the one or some of the little things I changed on the questionairre triggered something, but it was just weird. Anyways, I have my first FaceTime interview tomorrow. Wish me luck, lol. The recruiter that I have been emailing back and forth with so far seems real nice.

Congratulations!!!! And good luck! The first FaceTime interview was pretty simple. It was with my recruiter who was also very nice.
You'll have to let us know how it goes.

I never got it. Applied through Kelly, with a BA and 5+ years call center experience and 10 working with customers. KellyConnect said I did not qualify...

Thank you and will do. Are you an AHA or are you in the process?

Regarding AndrewR23's comment, I am surprised at that, that they said you didn't qualify. Maybe try applying right through Apple?

I am curious to see how this goes. The friend I know that worked at Apple, thinks I am going to be slightly disappointed because he thinks I kind of slightly "overqualify" to be an advisor because of my 10+ year call center experience with the last almost 3 years now being a manager (with management certification), and 15+ years of customer service experience, even though I don't have the technical experience with Apple products (except iphones, ipads, and iwatches). He said that if I would get a job I would be taking a significant pay cut and probably start at the bottom, which I am kind of prepared for, but working at Apple has always been a dream of mine. So, we will see where this goes. I know people are under NDA's, but can anyone maybe PM me with any information on starting salary and maybe a little bit of experience with how the ladder works at Apple? Any little bit helps. Thank you!!

I figured it out. There's a question asking if you live in California etc. I made a different account and put no and this time I was qualified. So I was disqualified Bc I live in ca. Lol

I'm in the process right now, I just had my third interview yesterday morning and now I am waiting for either the awesome phone call or the dreaded email. Of course, I'm seriously hoping and praying as hard as I can for that phone call, working for apple has been a dream for quite some time now!

Starting salary is going to completely depend on your experience and the area you live in. I won't say exactly what I was offered, but it was more than $15, less than $20, and I live in a small city. That's with only 2 years call center experience, but 10+ customer service. Considering how much experience you have, it may be more than that, I am not sure of their starting pay scale. From what I've heard speaking with my friend who works there and even my interviewers, they stated moving up is fairly simple, as long as you are dedicated and do your job correctly. One of my interviewers stated that she didn't move straight up the ladder, she more or less zig-zagged all around. From what I can tell, there is plenty of opportunity and I'm excited at the chance to be a part of it!

Good luck to you, hopefully you get that phone call. Thank you very much for the info and the pay scale. I am wondering if they treat the college programs differently. My friend who was an AHA went through the college program and was number 1 in the group he started with and said that he was on a track to probably be a manager in about 3-4 years. Also, he started at less money then the range you gave, but he also had only a few years customer service experience because he was still in college. Anyways, I am excited for the first interview later this morning, will post my experience on here as soon as I can.

How did your interview go?

Interview went real well and they are moving me to the next interview which will probably be early next week. I'll post more details about the interview tomorrow.

EDIT: My interview experience yesterday: I had my interview scheduled for 11:30AM Eastern time but at the last minute the recruiter said that they needed to reschedule. So, we worked out a time to reschedule at 4:30. The recruiter was a few minutes late and graciously apologized for it. Anyways, my recruiter asked me what I knew about the job and then filled in the rest for me. Then the recruiter asked me to explain my experience in detail and my everyday job funtions. Then based on that the recruiter came up with scenarios asking me to troubleshoot different technical situations. Then we had a few role playing scenarios. Then the recruiter basically allowed me to ask a few questions and at the end said that I will be moving you onto the next interview and to keep an eye on my email for details and times available.

As far as the general stuff surrounding the job is concerned my recruiter informed me the pay be in the same range as an earlier poster mentioned (which would be a significant pay cut for me) and that I would have to complete a 2 month training. The one good thing that the recruiter mentioned which has my interest is that due to my experience that they do see me being put on an aggressive move up the ladder plan if everything works out well during the training. The recruiter wouldn't state a timeframe, but said that it would be up to the manager to determine how aggressive it would be. That is something I plan to ask about during the next interview.

So, that was my experience and hopefully that answered a few questions posed in here. If you would like more specifics, please PM me. Thanks!

Congrats on finally getting interviews, and especially about the fast track given your experience! I'm so jealous (in a good way!) but I sure hope you get the job!

I'm like you in that working for Apple has been a dream for me, and that I'd take a huge pay cut if I were to get offered an AHA job. Just wish I could get called to interview! :(

Does anyone know how many years back the background investigation goes? Should we supply all schools we have ever attended such as elementary, middle school, high school? All jobs we have ever worked? Or is there a set time frame? Like past 10 years?
