Update

Okay I got an update, I assume this applies to all July 14th AHA general phone support people. An e-mail titled "Schedule Your AHA New Hire Paperwork Session" came in a few hours ago. I'll be getting the paperwork tomorrow and be going through that step soon. Hooray for W-4s!

EDIT: Whoever got the e-mail, it s worded like you have options for the paperwork session, but only one option is available to me. So sign up fast if you weren't going to already.

What questions are asked in the Tech Test? I need this job SO bad, and I want to be prepared as possible. Some of the questions listed I had to look up :(. I have my first facetime interview this week. My recruiter said this is for August classes....

Just had my third and final interview last night. I haven't got anything from HireRight, or Apple yet in my e-mail. The lady said that it would be 1-2 weeks before I heard anything, but I've been reading some posts and it seems like a lot of people got emails from HireRight the next day. She told me I did great and not to be nervous about the wait. So I'm not sure if she genuinely felt that way, or they just say that to everyone. Anyone else had to wait a long period, but still got the job offer? Im super nervous now haha

Second Attempt

Has anyone ever been turned down and had any luck re-applying for a position?

I finished my third interview last week. The only thing that didn't go well was that FaceTime would not receive the call, because I was out of town for important personal business. The interviewer called me and asked all of the questions anyway, but I'm sure that cost me the job.

I got the generic "we chose somebody else" email Monday, and I immediately applied for a different position. (Arizona State University, instead of part-time in Phoenix) Does anyone have experience with re-applying?

I had my second interview via skype last Friday and was told I should receive an email shortly with a link to schedule the third and final interview. But I haven't received anything yet and the waiting is killing me. Was the third interview hard? Do you remember what questions they asked?

Sort of, I applied and was turned down for a Sales rep position at an Apple Store in Las Vegas in 2010. Reapplying that quickly, however, may not work depending on whether they legitimately went with someone else or if you really did bone yourself by not being available for your scheduled and agreed upon interview. I'd be interested to see if you even get an interview this go around.

Questions I had:

What would you suggest if a phone will not turn on?

What were some of your strengths and weaknesses at your last job?

Give an example of when your boss would task you with something, and how you would go about it.

Why do you want this job?

Thanks. What I would do if I got a rejection email would be to email the recruiter, thank them for their time and ask them what I could have done better for future reference and how long do I have to wait before I can re-apply again

Has anyone had an interview in Spanish?

I just finished my third and final interview for the July 12th class. How long did it take for them to send you that email of "we chose somebody else" email? I'm so nervous

I got the job this time around. But from my 2010 job application and other people, I'd say you would get a rejection super fast. Like 1-3 business days most likely. But it depends on how the waves are going. For some reason they are interviewing super late this year which is why there are July classes instead of June classes like I expected. Good luck!

Got my mac and other goodies today. I start work Monday :D

Nice! I don't expect my equipment until the 1st week of July. Did you get the chair requirements yet? The gas cylinder on my chair is borked so I need to know if my chair is okay. If it is I can just replace the cylinder which will take more time than just buying a chair. What position did you get, I'm general phone support.

I know they go over ergonomics the first day of work. So ill pass on that info to you Monday. My package came with an iPod so I'm guessing I'm iOS. I never asked my recruiter and manager lol

What other goodies did you get? I only got one box which I'm assuming the imac is. I was instructed not to open the box until the morning of our orientation.

That's a surprise, I assumed the computer had to be set up and ready to go before training could begin. How else would they enact all their fancy monitoring.

Okay, so I applied through either Indeed or Simply Hired a couple of weeks ago. I got a phone call the following Monday asking me to do the Questionnaire and typing test. I hadn't gotten around to it right away but apparently they were interested enough in me that they called me first.

Within 24 hours of submitting the questionnaire I got an email with a link to select a phone interview time. I did the interview the next day. It went really well...and I actually tried to sell the recruiter an Apple Care plan during the role play, lol.

I did my interview first thing in the morning and by the end of the day I got a Congratulations email with a link to fill out information online. The next day (this morning) I got a phone call regarding sending my I-9. That process should be done by tomorrow. They also send out the background check already and that should be back any time. I was told that I will be providing support for iPods and will be receiving a Mac computer, iPod and iPod Touch. I'm pretty sure the training starts sometime in the middle of June, but I don't know the exact date.

After reading much of the comments here and all the levels of interviews and such it sounds like I have had it really easy. I would have preferred to go directly through Apple but didn't realize I would not be switching to permanent with Apple and would instead be a Kelly employee. That being said...if anyone tries through Apple and isn't getting anywhere, perhaps try KellyConnect instead. The process seems much faster.

So in all...this whole process from applying to being officially hired is going to have taken me about 3 weeks or so.

Okay, So I did my application on indeed as well. I had my phone interview this evening. We did a couple of role plays. She ask if I could comment to the training, of course I said yes. The recruiter told me I would be receiving the same products as they told you. We talked about the weather and she said I should here something with-in 48. She said nothing about a 2nd or 3rd interview. I hope I get as lucky as you. Congrats

Woooo

I've got my 3rd interview coming up, and I am pretty nervous! I hope it all goes well I'm going to pick through these threads for questions, it's just a lot to go through lol! anyways...

I was wondering, a lot of people started recently, how do you like it so far? Hows training classes? Do you have to answer questions a lot over the mic or video?

What are the employee discounts?

When they do the background check, everyone on here says its extensive. How so? I put the right dates for my employers, but I only listed a fraction of the places I've worked. (I've worked for a lot of small crappy jobs that I didn't stay at for long periods of time) I only listed the ones that were relevant to the position on my resume and when I applied. I don't have a criminal background at all. Do they check your credit?

Anything else you would like to add would be fantastic! :D I am super excited & nervous! I need this SO bad! I wish everyone the best of luck with the interview process!

What questions were you asked? :) It sounds like she really liked you. I don't think she'd tell you not to be nervous if you didn't get it, because well, that would be misleading and harsh! So stay positive :)

They didn't ask anything technical at all?

Also were you all interviewed by a "Team Leader"? Is this who our boss will be?

From what I have read we can expect 25% off most equipment on a significant numbers of yearly units, and an additional 500 off one computer and 250$ off one ipad each 3 years.

From the background check I received, they verify your social, addresses and criminal record. I see nothing about credit checks. I too didn't list some jobs, one was a few years back and one was my last job. They were jobs that lasted about a week, simply weren't a good fit, and I didn't want to have to explain. If you aren't a criminal you have nothing to fear from the background check. They are sending people a few thousand dollars worth of equipment, they have to be sure you aren't like to abscond with it.

I don't know who I was interviewed by, except that she was in her home office at the time so she is part of the AHA program.
