This is a question for those who have already started. I was told it can take up to 2 pay periods for direct deposit to go into effect. Did it take that long for you? If your first paycheck was a paper check, did you receive it on payday?

I've been reading this forum since the beginning of my interview process. Just received my equipment today, so I thought I would join and tell about my experience.

I had 3 interviews. First was over the phone. Second was facetime. Third was supposed to be facetime but it "wasn't working." Based on the forum, I figured I didn't get the job.... less than a week later, I was offered the job. Whole process took a little less than a month. I start Monday for iOS.

Super excited. ... had to hide the box from myself so I don't open it. Good luck to everyone still in the process!

I have a question, what happens if I applied for both Kelly and Apple, but get hired by Kelly and then later hired by Apple? Do you think Apple will not give me the job anymore because of Kelly?

I did the same thing! I applied with Kelly first and then a couple days later I thought "What if?" and applied with Apple. Apple called me a few hours after I applied and I told them. They asked me who I would rather work for and I said them, of course! I have an interview next week after that impromptu interview when they called me the same day I applied.

So in a nut shell, I think it depends on how bad they want you....

So excited just got my last call with all my dates. Official class starts on the 30th!!

Congrats! I bet you're so excited :)

Is there anyone else here who is a part of the July 7th class?

Question for those of you who received your equipment already-is it shipped via Fed EX?

Apple interview

OOps!!

Just looking at this active participation of people! hope I find some luck please!!

hi all,
if anyone came across this please have your advises posted.
I have Online assessment over Hirevue for AtHomeAdvisor position in Dublin, they said I will need to submit a video recorded Q&A which consists of more than 30 questions with IT and Apple product troubleshooting, am really wondering what is the tough level, I already have over 7yrs of work experience in CS but this is so new it feels like.
To be honest am not trained in Apple tech troubleshooting so what are they expecting really?

I have no idea, but I'd be willing to bet money that they pay biweekly. I have only seen weekly pay when I worked construction and one other job, but I don;t even recall the other job. I know there are other places that do it but it's super rare and in my experience it's only when the core employee base is really bad with money and/or tends to live in weeklies.

Weekly pay is music to my ears. Does anyone know how long it takes for Direct Deposit? Do you get a check in the mail in the mean time?

Yes I'm in the college program with a start date of July 14th. I've been told I'm in general support, non-specific so iOS, and OS X and various products.

Were you on that call on the 12th 11cst with your paperwork due the 18th? I had my paperwork sent out the 12th, so they got it the 13th. I've been expecting their "Welcome to Apple" email but haven't gotten anything yet. I wonder if we are part of the same group/how big our group is.

Yea I was on the call on the 12th. I accidentally showed up on the 5th as well and spent about 30 minutes waiting before I realized I had the date wrong. Oddly, even calling on the wrong day the system just let me sit on hold until I figured it out :). I got my paperwork sent out on the 12th as well, so mine was there the 13th, 9:23am. I haven't gotten any communique since and I wasn't expecting anything until the first week of July. I was told, when I was offered the job, that the equipment would arrive about a week before and that I would get a call from my Team Manager the week before training starts.

I am also wondering about the group. What I read about the job said we'd be in teams based on location, but I wonder if that is still the case with training starting so late.

I just remember them saying something about a "Welcome to Apple" email and that we'd be able to respond with any sort of questions that we would have.

I'm thinking that since there was only one call in time slot available that there were very many people in on that call. Everyone that was on it is probably going to be in out group. Just a guess.

So I have my 2nd interview Monday, I already have Apple experience.. (Worked with a contractor for a few years) so not overly concerned with the interview. However, I am nervous about the employment verification.

My most recent job is notorious for being *******s about previous employee job references. Multiple occasions saying they didn't work here, or giving inaccurate dates of employment, and saying said person had poor work habits. So when/if they call can they call my direct manager? Or will they call the HR department? Also, how far back do they go?
