So I have my 2nd interview Monday, I already have Apple experience.. (Worked with a contractor for a few years) so not overly concerned with the interview. However, I am nervous about the employment verification.

My most recent job is notorious for being *******s about previous employee job references. Multiple occasions saying they didn't work here, or giving inaccurate dates of employment, and saying said person had poor work habits. So when/if they call can they call my direct manager? Or will they call the HR department? Also, how far back do they go?

As far as I know, they did not contact any of my previous employers or references.

Really?! I thought I read they did the hire right employment/back ground check. That would be awesome! Other than that one job, I'm golden! Wish I would have talked to employees before starting there! Would have stayed with the Apple contractor.

They do use hire right. Nothing on my background check results showed anything about my previous employment and my references said they weren't contacted.

A job like this is not likely to call references. I suspect they would call them only if they are trying to choose between multiple applicants who look similar on paper. Or if there is something suspect in your Resumé such as a lot of education or great experience but you come across as dumb or unexperienced.

I can't say for sure, but I suspect HireRight just does a computerized verification/skip trace and only goes further if anything comes up that warrants further research but doesn't disqualify you. If memory serves, the references were part of the job app but not the information I gave to HireRight, but again I might be wrong.

June 30th class?

Anyone else who was told they'd be starting Monday, June 30th not hear back yet? Had a brief conversation last week with a recruiter but nothing on paperwork or when I would receive my equipment. Any insight is appreciated :)

Had my 2nd interview with the recruiter today. It went well (I think) he's passing me onto the 3rd interview with a Team Manager. He said I should be getting an email to schedule it within the next few days and if I hadn't to call him.

How long was it before you got the email to schedule the interview? What was your take on the 3rd interview? More of the same questions? Or were these ones more of the "tell me about a time…" type of questions?

Is anyone working for Kelly already?

I'm in my second week of training. I'm having a blast. I won't talk about details or specifics with training because I don't think I'm supposed to. I'm enjoying it very much. The training is very thorough. Kelly's Apple team is amazing.

Experience with Applying

My experience was quite different than others on here. I applied with Apple for part time, and four hours later I received a call from a recruiter. I told her I was really looking for full time employment and she said "okay, let me get back with you." I figured it would be another week until I heard something, if at all, and she called back 20 minutes later and sort of interviewed me for full time right then! Tomorrow I have a facetime interview.

Judging from the weird way that happened (in my past experience with job hunting) what is everyone's take on my chances of being hired?

Probably pretty good. I think they are ramping up hiring for osx yosemite, ios8, the new iPhones, and other mystery products.

That makes perfect sense! She said the training would start in August. Is that not right before the new iOS comes out?

iOS 8 will probably be released in mid to late september. iOS 7 was released exactly 100 days after it was announced.

Background Checks

This is my first post on the forum, so I'd like to say "hello" to everyone. I hope this is the right thread to post in. Let me know if it there's another thread more relevant.

I have a question regarding the background checks conducted by HireRight. I suppose this question could apply to any corporate hiring process, but it's the AHA position that I'm applying for....that being said, I'm wanting to know what's likely to happen if HR cannot verify my employment history? I've worked everywhere I've listed on my resume, and each employer can be reached to verify I was an employee during the dates listed. The only problem is that I'm not on paper at each of the jobs I've worked (3) over the last 10+ years.

Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated

For me, I don't think they contacted my previous employers. They just ran a back ground check in those cities.

Hi anyone in the Monday class get a word on when they will receive their equipment. I just finished my New employee orientation yesterday. I also received my Kelly email account, but the only message I have so far is about setting up the VPN once I receive the equipment.

Weekly pay is music to my ears. Does anyone know how long it takes for Direct Deposit? Do you get a check in the mail in the mean time?

My training advisor told me that as long as we completed all the necessary paperwork on time when we received it then our direct deposit should be all set to go.

I have my 3rd interview Friday! If I get it I will be in the August 11th training class.

What was your take on the 3rd interview? Was it more of the same from the first 2? Or were the questions more like "tell me about a time xyz happens."

Im gonna talk about my own experience. 1st and 2nd interview were a piece of cake. 3rd interview was a nightmare. She asked me were I worked in 2008, why do I stay so little in my previous jobs, only 1 1/2 or 2 years? She asked me three questions at once and she barely looked at me. She actually looked like she was annoyed to interview me. I'm honestly happy I got hired from Kelly. Yes, they pay less, but they pay per week and they have been very cool so far. You might get someone else on your 3rd interview. Good luck!
