Does anyone know if we buy products through the Apple Discount program if we are allowed to give to a family member? For example, an iphone as a birthday present? Or strictly products are for us? Thanks!

If you're referring to the EPP+ Credit that you receive every 3 years then I think it would be allowed as long as you're the one buying it but you ONLY get it every 3 years so it's really up to you. I didn't read anything against it.

I believe you can give 3 to family at the normal discount, I don't think iPhones, iPads and appleTVs are discounted ever.

The EPP+ credit that is given every 3 years does apply to iphone, ipad and mac systems. The other 25% OFF and 15% for friends and family is also allowed on these products but everyone will get access to details about the discounts once training start as in purchase limit and everything.

One, you don't know me at all so do not tell me or anyone you do not personally know to calm down. Because someone correct things that you've said you feel the need to tell them to "calm down"? WTF?

Two, you made a statement about:

"you'll make a a little more than"

Regardless of the "point" you were trying to make you still gave inaccurate information and I schooled you on it. The pay difference between Kelly and Apple is night and day and not "A LITTLE MORE THAN". If you do not want to be called out about inaccurate information then don't make statements about information you're not familiar with.

Why does this even matter to me? Because someone reading your post may believe your BS statement about the pay. They then go get a job with apple through Kelly and end up making $10-$11 an hour instead of $15 to $17 an hour. That could be the difference between someone sinking or surviving financially monthly.

Also, you stated:

"Anyway, I'm going back to lurk mode. I was just trying to be helpful, but I see the nitpickers are out in full force."

So, correcting you on inaccurate information is a nitpicker? That's funny!

Joey

Joey, you appear to be rage filled person who gets off on arguing with others online over nothing. I hope this is something you can work on before any company hires you for a customer support position. I wish you the best.

He was right though. Your information was way off, that isn't nitpicking. You shouldn't be spouting off incorrect information as fact.

I had a short phone interview after receiving an email from Recruitment and they asked me some tech questions and then proceeded to tell me that it starts at about 14 per hr. Next interview is Skype next week. :D

I really don't want to argue over this but I'm intrigued why I have at least two people up in arms. You two seem to be angry at the fact that I stated Apple pays a little more than Kelly? It appears that Apple pays about five dollars more than what Kelly is offering in most cases. Five dollars is definitely a difference, but it is "a little" more. If it were paying 15 dollars more, then I would probably would have stated "it pays a good bit more". It's not like I was stating numbers. I just gave a general comment. I would think that anyone on here who really wants to know the pay rate would do their research to find the numbers. Nothing about my comment should be setting you or the Joey person off. I do think you two are nitpicking over nothing. It really is sad.

Also, how am I spouting off? Are you imagining me angrily typing out answers to people? I'm here trying to be helpful to the newcomers. Like I mentioned on previous posts, I wanted to come out of lurk mode to offer some insight on my experience, in other words, give back to the community that has helped me. I really don't get you two and why you're so angry. I would have ignored Joey, but he or she decided to go overboard with their rude tone. This thread is very helpful to many people and I don't want to see it go off the deep end because of people like Joey thinking it's okay to say the things they did. This is the last I'll comment about this matter. I'm letting it go. I hope you do as well. Peace.

Aug 11 Class

I had my 3rd interview today, if I'm hired I will start 8/11.

How did your 3rd interview end? The lady was very nice, but very hard to read. And she just said I will hear within 2 weeks. So look for the call or email.

I think my 3rd interview went ok, although I did it over the phone. My interviewer couldn't get her FT working. I hope that wasn't an omen :p She did seem really nice and everything went smoothly.

If I get hired, we will be in the same class Tinkertink. I've not gotten a rejection or acceptance yet. I'm anxiously waiting and uber excited to find out how it went. Have you gotten any news or started your Hire Right process yet?

I've seen your last two post mentioning me and find it amusing you think I'm "angry" for correcting you. You still are stating above that $5 is "a little". If one pays say $10 per hour and the other $15 per hour then that is a 50% difference in hourly pay and that's NOT "a little" by any means.

Also, if I was an angry or "rage filled" person then would I not be picking on people left and right? The only person I've said anything to recently is you and that's only to correct your inaccurate info. I'm not angry in the least. If you look at my previous posts you would see I've been friendly and helpful. I personally have nothing against you at all. I corrected you on inaccurate information and that was the end of it for me. But, you keep posting about it, so I reply.

you stated: "This is the last you'll comment on this matter?" If I'm not mistaken, you said that in a previous post to me.

Stop worrying about it and let it go, it's over. Be well, live long and prosper!

Joey

When was your 3rd interview?

Ohhh!!! Sorry to hear about your wallet. That's one of the most devastating things. You have to show ID even to buy pizza when using a debit card here. I hope you get it all sorted.

My 3rd interview was on 6/20 and I got my offer call today!!! :) My next step is the Hire Right process.

I did get a mini iMac. If you want, I can email you a picture. I was as surprised as you

----------

YES!! Same person. Sorry. Im still gonna keep my fingers crossed so you can get the job. If not, there's always Kelly : )

----------

I got a mini iMac and a monitor. Even the box says: mini iMac. But if you wanna have a better picture, Google mini iMac and the first picture, thats the one I got. It's actually called Apple Mac Mini

I got a rejection email a week later, which was expected. Ouch! haha. I honestly can't imagine how she can get away with acting like that during an interview. She was so miserable. It's all good though :) I did everything right so I took it as a sign that now wasn't the time & I found work elsewhere. I know that I didn't get it because she's the one who interviewed me. Thanks so much for confirming her negative attitude because I thought it was me. I left the interview thinking, "Well maybe being happy and smiling pissed her off or made her think I was too peppy?" Now I know it's just her. Good luck with everything, and beware people who get Brianna!

Yeah, same here, it sucks. Can't get cash from the bank, can't use the new cards (whenever I get them) and need an expired ID to get a new ID. Luckily, I was eligible to renew online. But that takes awhile to receive..

Ok, good! I have been seeing that everyone heard back the following business day - I didn't hear anything today, so still have some hope=)

Quick Question

I submitted an application through the apple website on Saturday and got a call this morning that lasted about 10 minutes, very brief and basic questions. I was given an appointment for next Tuesday for a Face Time interview.

All is well and good so far but I had a quick question and maybe I am being paranoid, and feel free to tell me so. Looking over these threads about a background check has me a little flustered.

Basically my current job I work for Best Buy. I have worked there from 2008-present I put on my resume just an overview of my experience with them even though I have held a multitude of positions within the company most recently a Geek Squad Consultation Agent.

Besides all that to the point there was a brief break in my employment twice due to school which I had to put in a 2 week resignation and reapply that same year. So technically I did not work for that company for a period of a couple months but was never let go and My Human resources department only has the past 3 years employment records available to me so I cannot look up the exact dates anyway.

I don't want to be dishonest in any way throughout this process, is this something I should mention during my next interview or is this silly to worry about?

Whats the best Voip to use for AHA job???

Hello All
Congrats to all those who have gotten hired through Apple or through KellyConnect...I will say after reading here...I kind feel like if you were hired through Apple u maybe getting paid a whole lot more than we who have been hired by KellyConnect...I did see where someone who had gotten hired by Appple say they were offered 16.95 per hour to work the chat line...Im sitting here now like should I apply directly to Apple while working for Apple through Kelly...I know the positions are different but I am a Tech support home advisior...I start officially on the 14th...I know that the amount money I am making on this gig isnt something I can live on forever but I could readjust with making $16.95 from home...Shoot I would probably stop looking for a job in my field and just used this job to get the money I need to start my business...anyway...the reason for this message is ask you who have gotten hired to work from home which voip are you using???before I got officially hired I was going to use magicjack until I received their list and magicjack is a no go...anyway basictalk is on the list however they say it's unlimited usage but they will shut your phone down if you go over 3000 minutes a month...that is just ridiculous...but its on the list I got from Kellyconnect onboarding...anyway is there anyone on here that actually use basictalk for a AHA position but have not been shut off or threatened due to usage...if you are an actual at home rep that are answering calls and are using voip which one do u use???thank you...I am running out of time..thank you:)

A few questions

Hey Guys,

I was hired for the iTunes AHA and I am supposed to start training this Monday, July 7th. However, I have been trying to call the contact that was on my offer letter for 3 weeks and have never gotten a response. I've even left messages. Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, it's Wednesday and I haven't heard anything about my equipment being shipped. The fourth of July is Friday so I know FedEx is going to run, so I'm beginning to wonder.

Any thoughts?

----------

I just joined this forum...I'm in the July 7 class too!

I'm supposed to start training the 7th also. As of today I haven't heard anything about my equipment. I've been trying to call Jeff Korec, the contact on my offer letter for three weeks and I've had no luck. I've even left messages.

What has your experience been? Have you heard about equipment yet?

----------

I'm in your class :)

I imagine we would receive an email giving us a heads up about the equipment delivery. I havnt heard a word since my paperwork.

I haven't heard anything either. I start the 7th too. Has anyone heard anything since this post?

I had my third interview on June 6th and was told I'd hear back within 2 weeks (would start July 14th). I've heard nothing and had no response when I emailed my recruiter. Should I wait longer or just accept I've been rejected without being notified?

Wow, that's a decent wage! I had a quick look earlier and they don't seem to be advertising this position in the UK or maybe they're just done looking.

One thing that I've been wondering is how does one advance as an Apple at Home Agent?

I will be starting in August and I have an A+ & Network + Certification. Are there certain certifications that Apple looks for if you want to advance?

What is the percentage increase for going from tier 1 to tier 2 and how fast can you do it?

I actually want to start doing what I can now to advance as fast I can when I start working for Apple so are there certain websites I should go to or books I should read that would prepare me?
