One thing that I've been wondering is how does one advance as an Apple at Home Agent?

I will be starting in August and I have an A+ & Network + Certification. Are there certain certifications that Apple looks for if you want to advance?

What is the percentage increase for going from tier 1 to tier 2 and how fast can you do it?

I actually want to start doing what I can now to advance as fast I can when I start working for Apple so are there certain websites I should go to or books I should read that would prepare me?

I was told by the final interview lady you had to be in your role for 1 full year before they would even consider you for different positions.

Just hired, start in August!

Anyone care to answer a fe questions that has been in this position currently? Would be much appreciated.

- I've read a lot of positive things about the position, also a few negatives. Whats your take on it?

- Are the goals tuff to manage?

- Is there any flexibility in the scheduling.

- Easy to get fired/let go?

- typical day

Sorry for the number of questions :) just trying to get a better understanding of the position not from a recruiter perspective.

Thanks!!

I have no experience working directly for Apple, but from a contracter - there was very little flexibility in scheduling. You were there based on business needs, you worked around their schedule. Not the other way around.

When was your 3rd interview?

Hey Guys,

I was hired for the iTunes AHA and I am supposed to start training this Monday, July 7th. However, I have been trying to call the contact that was on my offer letter for 3 weeks and have never gotten a response. I've even left messages. Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, it's Wednesday and I haven't heard anything about my equipment being shipped. The fourth of July is Friday so I know FedEx is going to run, so I'm beginning to wonder.

Any thoughts?

----------

I'm supposed to start training the 7th also. As of today I haven't heard anything about my equipment. I've been trying to call Jeff Korec, the contact on my offer letter for three weeks and I've had no luck. I've even left messages.

What has your experience been? Have you heard about equipment yet?

----------

I haven't heard anything either. I start the 7th too. Has anyone heard anything since this post?

I start a week after you, but from what I was told if you don't have your equipment by Friday 3PM today you should call your manager and let him know your equipment hasn't arrived because they will have to scramble to get something out to you.

The lady that interviewed me told me the same thing. I'm hoping there is a way around that though. lol

Congrats

Well I just got my hire call yesterday! Yes!!! They offered me $17 per hour

Wow..u know congratulations on the hire and pay...it saddens me that being hired through Kelly COnnect the pay is $10.00 per hour during training then after training an opportunity for a separate 20% bonus...which is a possible $12 per hour...smh..it's sad but they get away with it bc what are we going to do not take a penny and grab nothing...I wish I would have gotten hired directly through apple...smh this really sucks but I guess i cant complain..$10.00 an hour is better than 0.00 an hour right!?!:(:)

I have had my first "get to know you" interview and have my first FaceTime interview in the morning. I have already been asked to complete my official apple application. Is that a normal step in the process this early on? I was sent the link as soon as I got off the phone with the first recruiter.

Kelly

Hello All!

I have been preparing for my interview today via Kelly Connect/Kelly Services for Tier 1 Advisor - Customer Service Representative . I just wanted to ask any recent new hires for Kelly:

Was there any mention of a land line being required for the position? I see that in previous posts, some people stated no land line was required. IF one is required, did they mention the time frame you have to get your phone line connected?

What was the response time for getting notice that you have been hired for the position?

Once beginning training, how quickly did you receive your first paycheck? I have read that they pay weekly, but I'm wondering if you have to wait 2 weeks before the first paycheck.

Thanks for your time!

What was your process?

There were three interviews. I had my first interview on May 29th and it was 5-10 minutes. The next interview was exactly a week later and that was done through skype. It lasted about 25 minutes. The final interview was done through skype as well and it was a week after the 2nd interview. After each of these interviews I received a message saying that I needed to update my Application. (I kept receiving an email about updating my profile because I waited til the last minute to actually do it) One week after my third interview I received a call from the hiring manager saying that they were going to do the background check if I was still interested in the position. Two weeks after they started the background check I received a call stating that I now have the job. I'll be receiving my paperwork tomorrow

Congrats!!! :) What was the third interview like? Any tech questions? Customer service role play? Mine is coming up soon and I'm very excited, but also a little nervous.

In the third interview a team lead/supervisor asked some troubleshooting questions like what would you do if someone couldn't power on their phone, we did some role playing and went over my previous job experience. When I didn't know all the steps to troubleshoot something I said what I did know and then said something to effect that I would also use my resources for areas I needed help with. I laughed & smiled alot with the interviewer & at the end she said it was a pleasure talking with me. Since you've made it this far I think that as long as you are your pleasant self you'll do great!

Just had my third interview. It lasted about half an hour. He asked me a few questions about work experience and then asked a few techy questions like what do you do if your power doesnt turn on with the iPhone and then 2 scenarios. That was it! I should know in a couple weeks. If I get it I will start 18 August.:)

You don't have to have a landline. You have to have a phone line that isn't plugged directly into a computer. It can be plugged into the modem or router, though...like a cable phone line or Basic Talk and other VOIP options that DO NOT plug directly into a computer. They will provide you with a list of options for your area if you are hired. You don't have to have these things set up before you are hired but you do need that phone line in your training so you would need to have it all set up by then. You get paid every Friday and submit your time for the week by midnight Sunday. If you start on one week you would get paid the following Friday. If you use the Money Network option initially you will get your first pay without any problems. If not you might run into problems waiting for a paper check or for direct deposit to get sorted out. If you sign up for Money Network at first you can switch to Direct Deposit after.

I got my "preliminary" offer! Yay!!! Super surprised, since my 3rd interview lasted 13 minutes... I totally thought I was going to get the denial email..

I did my hire right stuff the day before yesterday, and they have called 1 employer so far. I talk to all of my previous employers, so I know they haven't talked to the other 2.... How long did it take to get the screening back?

Interviews

It seems as though everyone makes it to the 3rd interview. Does any one know of someone not making it to the 3rd interview? Just a question out of curiosity..

One thing I didn't see mentioned before is that the first two interviews are with Apple recruiters not HR people. I think the first two interviews are really only for them to decide to forward your application or not. They don't want to look bad by sending in people that won't do well so, they are basically pre-testing you. The third interview is with an actual Apple HR person and it is probably the only interview that actually matters.

Yeah, I know of a couple people who didn't make it past the 1st. And 1 person who didn't pass the 2nd.

My 3rd person was a team manager. Not an HR person.
