So I finally got a call back and apparently "plans have changed and the position is no longer available." However, she told me that there is a position that may be opening and she wanted to keep my information and keep in touch with me because she would like to move me forward to that, and she will reach out to me during the first week of August. *fingers crossed* I really want to work for apple.

I noticed that they reposted the position... I'm wondering what could've been the "change of plans" ... I feel like I just got robbed of a real chance at getting the job.

Sorry to hear that, bud. I think I'm going to wait at least six months to apply again for the AHA position. I'd take an in-store position, but I unfortunately live 90 minutes from the nearest Apple store.

W4?

For those of you who have recently started.. Or filled out your offer packet…

Why was there no W4? Do we fill that out when we actually start? Or was just mine missing? It didn't say there was one in the packet contents page. Or that I needed to return one..

New York

Has anyone gained employment as an Apple at Home Advisor in New York? They don't have any positions listed at all. Just wondering.

I submitted my app on 6/20. I received the first call 6/25. My final interview was 7/8. I received my offer call 7/16 when the background check was completed. I start 8/18. I can't wait.

Just got hired for AHA

I was just officially hired on Wednesday and I am going to be starting my NEO on Monday 8/4/14. I am so excited the process was not as long as I have read on here, but my recruiter was very nice and very helpful and kept in touch with me during the 2 1/2 weeks that it took me to get hired.

I believe so, just none posted right now. Same goes for iTunes (except for Japanese support). I'd suggest applying for a neighboring state if you want the job, as there's no rule that says you can't.

Question... Has anybody had this position while going to school? Is it possible to do that and do they accommodate with school schedule?

They will accommodate you, if you apply for a university position. Otherwise, your best bet is to apply for part-time and take only online/flexible schedule classes, as they could schedule you anytime.

Woohoooo! My start day is August 18th, 2014. Is anyone else on this thread going to be in training with me ? :)

That's my start date too :D I'm ready to start now! Super excited. Well, I think I need a new ergonomic chair and desk. Mine are fairly worn, but once I've gotten those, I'm set.

Hi everybody, newbie here.

Great site with invaluable advice!

Been following the AHA threads, but can't find an answer and I'm looking for a little help.

Is there a typing requirement or test? I've seen reference to a test...but not much has been said about one.

So if you can, please type a quick reply.

Thanks again  :)

Yes. The typing speed is 35 wpm. :) And I think I recall taking an assessment during the application process, but at the time I was applying to so many at home positions, I can't be certain.

I did not have to do a typing test. But you will want to type fairly quickly as you are taking notes throughout the call.

My start date is Monday August 4, 2014 and I will be through with training on September 12, 2014 and taking live calls on my own!!! I am so excited and I can not wait!! My NEO starts 8/4/14 @ 7am and then my equipment should be here either Wednesday or Thursday and then I have Training Orientation on Friday 8/8/14 and then my New Advisor Training (NAT) begins on Monday 8/11/14 through Friday 9/12/14.... I have been waiting on an opportunity like this and it is finally here. I live outside of the Austin area and I got lucky because if I would have lived in the Austin City Limits then I was told by the Recruiter that I would not have been offered anything even though I was very qualified because they are not offering this position in Austin... But anyway good luck to anyone that is either going through the interview process or waiting to get a call for an interview. The hiring process takes anywhere from 2-5 weeks before you actually know if you are being offered anything. My entire process took 2 weeks and then I was offered a position and excepted. I think that it is pretty cool that they provide you with an iMac, keyboard, mouse, ethernet cord, and 2 headsets!! The only question that I forgot to ask is are we allowed to use the computer for personal use as well because I already own a Mac and I am hoping that I do not have to go back and forth between the 2 for use. I am going to ask that question Monday morning during my NEO and I will make sure that I relay the answer to you all.

The whole process takes anywhere from 3-5 weeks before you know anything. You do have to kind of stay on them about your status though. I completed my NEO today and learned so much. The equipment that they send you is for WORK USE ONLY, everything that is done on the computer is monitored even when you are not logged into the apple system. :)
