not to mention it's CHAT only! :D

Hang on.. are you saying there is a TEXT CHAT version of the Apple At-Home Advisor position?

I have my "Welcome to Apple" paperwork in front of me right now, I've been accepted for a position and I am so excited, and nervous.. My understanding is that this is a call center type of position. I would seriously love if there is a text chat and/or email version of this position. Does it exist? How could I get involved in that?

----------

Does anybody have information on what the "Holiday" situation looks like for AHAs? I understand that we have to work full-time on basically all Holidays, but I've also read that Apple has an outstanding Holiday schedule. Lots of paid days off that don't deduct from your Vacation time.

Is this lost on us AHAs, since we work national holidays? Or does Apple make it up to us by giving us other days-off/holidays?

Yes, there is an iTunes Chat support position. They hire for it every now and then. I think the last hiring they had was around May/June. I ALMOST got in but had to decline because I needed the graveyard hours and they were offering me day time hours. Keep a look out for it, it may pop up again soon as they are probably going to start hiring for the holiday season!

Has anyone here had luck getting weekday evening hours only + anytime weekends & holidays through the regular AHA positions - NOT the college program??

IIRC the postings always say you have to be available anytime day AND evening... but, they work around daytime class schedules for the college folks and even train them in the evenings, so it seems like they would hire the occasional non-college person with the same kind of schedule restrictions. Just wondering if anyone non-college has been able to do this.

I was told that you can't move to another position for a year after taking the job. If you take the regular ol' AHA position that's it for a year. Then you can apply for other things.

Can you tell me how long after your BGC cleared did you get your welcome packet?

After my background check cleared (Thursday) I got a call the next afternoon (Friday) from the recruiter telling me congratulations again. I got the welcome packet the following Monday. It gets overnighted. Then the paperwork call that Thursday.

You will be phone support for at least a year. If you change your mind now - they will not be calling you again.

You can pretty much guarantee you will be working Christmas. They are closed thanksgiving. And a few other ones. But there is a nice holiday pay schedule that you get laid out once you're hired and have started working.

Is there anything wrong with calling hire right to check on the BGC? I submitted the check on 8/8, and havent heard anything... i called them once to ask about my bgc and was advised i could send in some w2s but havent heard anything back. I wonder if they frown on my calling to ask about the status.

I called about mine... It was completed the next day. Does your status say anything?

Called... they are still waiting on my criminal background check... not sure why it would take this long I dont have a criminal history at all. Maybe because Ive lived in 2 states? We shall see.

I am also waiting for mine! Submitted it the same day as you. Sucks that it is taking this long.. Don't like that the status on HireRight says "In Progress." It has been saying that since I've submitted it. I wish there was some kind of ETA... "In Progress" is just as informative as UPS Ground saying "In Transit" with no update for 3 days.

That is awesome!!!! I loved livechat work with 1800Flowers and am looking forward to the opportunities that Apple has to offer! Now if only I could get an all clear on my HireRight. :)

I looked at the FAQs on HireRight for how long it will take and it said 2-5 days

I'm new to apple and I just need someone to help me log certain calls. can someone PM me please????

Are you kidding? That's what the several weeks of training was for. Plus, If that did not help you then ask your supervisor. Plus, this person who posted this could be setting a trap to get real people who work for Apple to contact them so they can have them fired.

Just in case your post is real and you're unaware. It's against the TOS and the NDA with apple that you signed when you were hired to never post on this forum at all. They tell you that the first day of training!

If I were you I would delete all your posts and remove your account on here ASAP or risk being fired. There has been people tracked down on this very forum that were posting not that long ago and were apple employees. Then, once apple figured out who they were they fired them.

Just my 2 cents worth. Take it or leave it.

Checked status of my background this morning and it said "Completed" with a link to view my report. Everything looked as I expected - clear and exact. Now to wait for the call that they've received it and to move things along...
