Sorry to say, but that's not accurate at all. Regardless if you're being interviewed by them for employment or you're an employee that's using THEIR equipment working from home, it's their company. Plus, they make you sign legal disclaimers before you even start working for them stating they can record anything for training purposes.
I know for a fact (from current and previous employees I've spoken with) they record ALL CALLS every person who works for them takes and management randomly screens each call to see how each person is doing regardless if you've been there a month or a few years.
So, I would not advice telling them anything they do is "illegal" (which it's not anyway) otherwise you may very well be out of a job before you even get one with them.
You don't mess with the largest company in the world which is currently worth (as of today) $740 BILLION dollars.
But that's just my opinion!
