Thanks! That really does help. And thanks for the vote of confidence :). I'll update once the interview has been aced :D

I just thought I'd share so you're not alarmed if it happens to you, but I didn't get my email to schedule the next interview til about 48 hours later. I was fearing the worst for two days for nothing lol

Awesome news! I hope you enjoy your new job!

Does anyone know if they higher 16 year old and others around that age? Is anyone here still at school?

I'm 18, just hired. But I applied to the AppleCare college program. It's only available for select universities. So I'm not sure if they would take 16 y/o.

Thanks for the heads up! That definitely would have worried me.

As for the update, they are recommending me for the final interview :D I'm so excited! I wanted to give a big thanks to the people of this thread. It's been super helpful in prepping.

My training is through Kelly. I'm not sure if nesting will be through them though. They haven't told us that much. We get a lot of chances to practice in iLog with out trainer - she will make a scenario and share her screen out and let us pretend to take the "call" and navigate the system. It's easier when it comes to mentoring. Our first mentoring day we could take the call to completion if we felt comfortable, but we only needed to get our greeting in, ask why they are calling, our 3 A's, and then we could hand the call over to the mentor. Tuesday we needed to add in a support eligibility statement, then could hand it over but I took all of mine to completion. I'm going to assume today we are to take the whole call.

That's really interesting. Were you with mentors one on one? Did you do calls all day or take time in between each one to discuss and learn? How many calls would you say you've had the chance to do so far? Your experience is so unique to mine. Did you find that most of your group was prepared by day 10 to start taking calls and then by day 12 (today for you, I believe) to run with it with limited support? Thanks again so much for taking the time to share your experience.

Long time lurker but finally after reading, I wanted to share my situation and how much I've been freaking about it.

This my track record, any feedback from anyone is appreciated. I love this thread. The amount of reassurance is nice to know I'm not the only who is sweating this out.

Received phone interview: 3/24
Second phone interview: 3/30
Third phone interview: 4/6
Now: Sweating out an answer

So the breakdown..

Got the first phone call. Went very well. She was excited about me and told me I'd move on.

2nd interview went well. She loved my energy and said my personality was exactly what they're looking for. She coached me one detail saying did fine in the role play but to make sure to touch up on the basic steps. She said she wanted to move me on because of my energy and personality. I overshot a simple troubleshooting question because I was initially nervous. So I moved on.

3rd interview also went very well. The best out of all of them. He loved my answers and I felt I did very well. He said I wold know within 2 or 3 weeks. He was very hard to read though. Very hard. He also said in this time was a background check.

So now I am just truly playing the waiting game. It's been only 3 days but I haven't received even anything as small as an email. I'm freaking out. I have years of retail and troubleshooting specifically mobile products too. I'm just reading how soon others found out and it's making me cringe. I hope I get it.

How soon did everyone else find out?

Djtronik, sounds like you did very well! I had my final interview on a Friday and received my background check phone call by that Wednesday, if I do remember correctly. I was also told I would find out within 2 weeks but it was much quicker than that. I'm sure you blew them away!

Do/or did you get you get the offer along with the background check? Like, they can offer you the position as long as you clear..or was it do the background check first?

It was a offer contingent upon the BGC, which took about 6-7 days to clear. Then I received THEE official offer call :)

We were split into groups. Initially it was 4 of us with 1 mentor in my group. We've lost 2 classmates from our group for technical reasons, so now it's just 2 of us with 1 mentor. We take a call, then discuss it for a few minutes afterwards and walk through classifying it in iLog. We only have our mentors for 4 hours each session too. Tuesday is a full day though so that will be good.

My first mentoring session (when there were 4 of us) I took 1 call halfway and then handed it over. My second session I took 2 to completion and my 3rd session I took 2 to completion as well. I seemed to get stuck with the long calls that were around 30 minutes each.

I think we've been well prepared for taking calls.. of course we were nervous that first mentoring session - but everyone took a call and we keep growing from there. We're all ready to go on the floor now lol.

So did you guys get told at the end of your third interview that you would be getting a background check, or does that come in the call that happens sometime after the interview?

Hello everyone,

I'm getting ready to apply for the chat position. I would like to know if there are any current chat support specialists on this thread that can give me some advice on how to make my resume/application stand out. I have been stalking this thread for weeks now, and I am doing as much research as possible as I really do want this job.

Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated! Good luck to everyone going through the interview process!

Yet Another Update

Hey guys and gals! So, I had my third and final interview today. I felt it went well, but like so many others I've seen, the interviewer was so hard to read. Said I should hear back within the next two weeks. So now it's on to the waiting game :p In any case, I again wanted to thank you all for the info and encouragement throughout the process. I'll update once more once I know for sure if I got in or got denied. Either way, this was one heck of an experience!

AtoZ - for me, it came afterwards. I do believe within a week after the 3rd interview. Congrats btw on nailing your 3rd interview! Good luck!

They can't record you without your knowledge, that's illegal.

Sorry to say, but that's not accurate at all. Regardless if you're being interviewed by them for employment or you're an employee that's using THEIR equipment working from home, it's their company. Plus, they make you sign legal disclaimers before you even start working for them stating they can record anything for training purposes.

I know for a fact (from current and previous employees I've spoken with) they record ALL CALLS every person who works for them takes and management randomly screens each call to see how each person is doing regardless if you've been there a month or a few years.

So, I would not advice telling them anything they do is "illegal" (which it's not anyway) otherwise you may very well be out of a job before you even get one with them.

You don't mess with the largest company in the world which is currently worth (as of today) $740 BILLION dollars.

But that's just my opinion!

actually i meant did they record the videochats we did during orientation and show it to other colleagues so they know what we look like. i feel like i wasn't treated fairly because they knew what i looked like
