I had my skype interview on Tuesday the 7th. The interviewer said I sounded technical and passionate, but I still haven't heard anything. He said hopefully within a week.

Should I be concerned? This is for the college program and I wonder if I should contact someone and check on my status yet.

No, my interviewer told me 2 weeks. In reality it was like 2.5 weeks until I got the call. The wait sucks, I know!

I'm also in the college program :)

Thanks Blastronaut that makes me feel a lot better! I have been worried about it! Do you work for Apple? I had been applying for over 2 years and finally got an interview.

You're welcome :) no, I don't officially work for them YET but I'm far enough along in the process I felt I could speak to your question. My background check was just completed on Monday .. Waiting on the official offer call!

AHA Chat

Hey guys, just wanted to add to the great info on this board already, I interviewed for the chat positions, had my 3rd video interview on Monday and was told the same thing everyone else was. Going to be about 2 weeks before I hear anything.

Also, still havnt heard anything about BG Check. I was told they are currently hiring for June.

Oooh gotcha. Luckily I just have a boyfriend and no kids so it wouldn't effect me too much but I can understand how that would be hard for a lot of people

I'm just confused/upset by it all because I was told a few things during the offer call. One that the schedule would be 10-7 for 7 weeks. I planned things around that. Now 3 weeks into it I find out it's now 2-10:30 for the foreseeable future. I was also told in my offer call that if the schedule out of training wasn't suitable, you could trade with someone. I was informed yesterday that there are NO shift bids and no trades permitted.

So yeah.. I'm kinda stuck in a hard place now.

Bgc

Hey all. So I got the call today, asking if I was still interested, and agreed to a bunch of things they already told me. Now I'm just waiting on the BGC e-mail. Also, training start date will be June 1st! I'm so excited to switch from my current employer (Which my username kinda hints at, if anyone was interested lol) to my new career at the Amazing Apple Company :apple:

Just applied to the newly posted chat positions. Wish me luck everyone.

Best of luck! I hope you get in as well! Best thing to remember, you don't have to know how to solve the problem in the interview, just make sure to ask the right questions.

So, I have definitely been a "lurker" on this thread for about the past 3 weeks and decided to post to shed a little insight, as the information that others have shared has been very helpful to me. So, here is my timeline.

March 25th: Submitted resume, received interest call and completed first "phone interview", which was about 15 minutes. Was passed on to next phase and scheduled interview.

April 1st: Facetime interview. There was an issue with the connection and I ended up completing the call over the phone. There was several questions about what I did with my previous employers, which were both wireless carriers. There were a few technical questions. (Important: Focus more on the questions that you would ask to get to understand the question instead of trying to address the issue.) So, I was passed on to the next phase, which is another FaceTime interview.

April 8th: Third interview, second FaceTime interview. I LOVED the young lady that interviewed me. She smiled a lot, was VERY energetic and she was SOOOO excited about interviewing me. This interview was very in depth, several role plays, questions about myself. So, at the end she told me someone would contact me in about two weeks buuuuuuut......

April 9th: I get a call letting me know that they were making an offer based on passing the background check. I got the e-mail for the background check, completed the information.

April 13th: Background check completed.

April 16th: Received official "Welcome to Apple" call! (Yayyyyyy!!)

Today: I received an email informing me that I should be receiving my paperwork and instructions.

The most helpful thing you can do is google some of the sample interview questions, don't over prepare, be natural, be YOURSELF, be excited, passionate about the things you are saying. BE YOURSELF! Good vibes to everyone in the process!

Starting May 18th

Hey all!

So I did the three interviews, the background check and have received the official offer call. I will be doing the hiring paperwork conference call this Monday (04/20) and start my training on May 18th. I see a few people have mentioned starting that day as well, but as a chat rep? I honestly have no clue if I'm doing phone or chat, but I assume phone. I also don't know which side I'm supporting. I'm just thrilled for the opportunity! I'm excited to see where Apple takes me :)

Does anyone know if the background check includes a credit check? I currently have a lot of debt, nothing in collections and I'm always on time with payments. I know some companies won't hire you if you have a certain amount of debt. I submitted everything for my background check on Friday and reading the terms it did say a credit check in there but the questions were on my employment history.

I start 6-1 as long as everything clears!

On my completed report I didn't see anything about my credit being looked at. i am close to my limit on all my credit cards also with nothing in collections so I was a little worried too but all is good! :) hope to "see" you on 6-1!

Will they look up the tax system to check your places of employment to ensure they are correct?
