On my completed report I didn't see anything about my credit being looked at. i am close to my limit on all my credit cards also with nothing in collections so I was a little worried too but all is good! :) hope to "see" you on 6-1!

Thank you so much! I was worried about it. It's one of those things where you try to get a better job of b to pay off bills but can't because you have debt!

Does anyone know if the background check includes a credit check? I currently have a lot of debt, nothing in collections and I'm always on time with payments. I know some companies won't hire you if you have a certain amount of debt. I submitted everything for my background check on Friday and reading the terms it did say a credit check in there but the questions were on my employment history.!

I did not see a credit check on my HireRight report.

I hear ya! The job I'm at now is only part time and I make half as much per hour as I would with Apple so this is definitely gonna help me with these darn credit cards!

Hey everyone I actually just applied for this position and I just had a couple questions. Does anyone know what the starting pay is? I can't imagine it's much because it seems to perfect haha, but I have a family to provide for and the job I have now pays well but I know i would enjoy the tech aspect of this job. Also, is this something where you actually work for apple directly or is it for a third party company that is contracted through Apple? I appreciate the help and congrats to those that have gotten into the program!

If you applied through Apple's website, you are an employee with benefits. The starting pay depends on where you live. For where I live, it is 15.00 per hour. I applied for the At Home Advisor, Chat. They send you a iMac and pay 23.00 biweekly for Internet.

Yea I read about the iMac and Internet compensation but thank you for the clarification

Hey all!

So I did the three interviews, the background check and have received the official offer call. I will be doing the hiring paperwork conference call this Monday (04/20) and start my training on May 18th. I see a few people have mentioned starting that day as well, but as a chat rep? I honestly have no clue if I'm doing phone or chat, but I assume phone. I also don't know which side I'm supporting. I'm just thrilled for the opportunity! I'm excited to see where Apple takes me :)

Kerry

Hey, Kerry! Congrats to you as well! My new hire paperwork is on 4/30, I'm super stoked to get started on 5/18. Did they tell you the hours you'll be working? We should connect as well!

Hey! Let's definitely connect! I was told training would be 9am-6pm CST. I live on the west coast so for me the hours will be 7am-4pm PST for the first 4 (or 5?) weeks. Then shift bid at that point, looking for later hours, hoping on 11:30-8:30PST!
Congrats to you as well! Kinda wish I was doing chat, but I'm just happy to be with the company.

Kerry :p

I currently work as a customer service rep for a cable retail website and decided to apply to be an At Home Adviser. Anything special I should know?

Thanks!

Man, Apple really makes you sweat. Received job offer call the 9th. Obviously super excited. Fill out and complete the contingent HireRight information the next morning. It's been 8 days.

I wanted to touch up with my recruiter, so I emailed her asking how long it would take Apple to receive records. I called HireRight and it's been processed for days. Provided the case number to her and she told me it should be done by the end of this week. (a few days ago, respective to the email)

Really hope this looks up for me. I'm really sweating it out over here.

Hey guys,

So I had my interview and test on Friday and this morning I received my HireRight login details. Am I to assume from this that I was successful in my interview and test or is this Apple simply trying to make the process faster for both?

Congrats! LOL - don't sweat it too much...Hireright should do their job pretty quickly. Just check in with them periodically and get them the information they ask for asap (if they ask for more documents or verification)

Congrats to you also! I'm super excited! Absolutely, my email address is ......

Are you aware Apple DOES NOT allow employees to post here? You just put an email address that may very well be traced back to you. The last guy that did something like this was fired within a few days.

If I were you, I would edit your last post and REMOVE the email address.

Just my opinion though...

Thanks, Joey. I haven't signed anything or started yet but better safe than sorry, so I definitely removed it.

So I got a call from Apple today saying they know I had my interview almost 2 weeks ago and that they were updating me on my status and essentially said they were still interested but had to figure out when training was.

What?

Has anyone else heard of this before? Am I SOL or good?

I applied for the graveyard shift two weeks ago and am eagerly awaiting a call. I heard someone say don't worry if you can't answer the question (I'm guessing they were referring to a role play scenario..?) So what do you do? Say everything you'd say up until giving the solution (i.e apology, empathize etc.) Then say "pass" ?
Did anyone try to look the answer up?
