Many congrats to you! I know you are relieved and excited. Still waiting here....checked with Hireright on Wednesday and BG was 80% complete-- just waiting on report from local court which I'm not worried about at all (not even a speeding ticket lol). Was more concerned they would be able to verify previous employment but they said that was all confirmed. And so we wait....

did you call hireright for this? i waited on the phone for a bit but remembered it telling me to call my recruiter for the bc status. recruiter had no update.

The only company merchandise is sold at the company store in Cupertino. There are a lot of benefits that come with working with Apple. :) You will see soon enough. Don't want to give away details. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I though payday was on fridays, but now I hear it is actually on Thursday?

I called the HireRight main customer service number from their website not the applicant services number that is listed on the email from HireRight. That number only tells you to call the recruiter. They were very nice and helpful. They will ask you to verify your name, dob and SSN if I recall and what employer it is for then will transfer you to someone who handles that account. They can tell you if they are still waiting on any verifications or if the final report has been submitted to Apple. Hope that helps... and good luck!

It takes a while.

Mine was a little over a week after it was completed for the wait.

It all depends on how fast your employers get back to hireright, and how long the court system where you live get's back to Hireright.

When do you actually find out the details of the 'benefits'? I'm starting on 10/29 and have completed my paperwork call with the strict instructions given by the team manager. I have to say I'm dying of curiosity!!!

Do we have to sign for our paperwork ?

congrats to you on your offer!!! no, you don't have to sign for the paperwork and trust me when I say it looks so pretty you won't want to open the file ;)

Thanks! I called Cox and their "digital phone service" is actually VOIP! Grrr. No wonder it's only 9.99 a month.

COX's service is VoIP based but that is OK. What Apple does not want is Vonage or other internet-based services. There is a difference.

Hmmm thanks Trevorman.. I thought any VOIP product was internet based... Cox gives you a modem for it as well (just like vonage).

From wikipedia:

Voice over IP (VoIP, or voice over Internet Protocol) commonly refers to the communication protocols, technologies, methodologies, and transmission techniques involved in the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet

Perhaps the protocol has evolved since I had Vonage installed many, many years ago!

COX is VoIP but they operate only within their private network and are not dependent on Internet congestion or other factors outside of their control. COX is a phone company and is interconnected to others. Vonage and other services like Skype you are at the mercy of not only your ISP but anyone else between you and them. Network latency, outages, etc. are always a problem with them. If that helps clear it up.

Trevorman is correct digital phone is actually voip, its on a private network that the cable company controls. I have TWC digital phone and I have an ariis all in one modem for my internet and phone line.
