I'm hoping they'll let us start taking iPod and iPad (basically all iOS) pretty soon. Maybe hours will increase, maybe not. I do know that on Saturday mornings, I'm fielding iPad calls along with iPhone ones. I guess I messed up by applying at Apple in July instead of Aug. Had I waited I probably would be working full time in the CPU group.... assuming I got through the interviews as easily as I did with iOS.

Check out the CPU cue on the monsterboard when you get a chance, they're getting slammed.

Wow! Maybe it will start to pick up with the new iPad mini and iPod touches out.. and of course the holiday season!

So you can't really choose a "shift" or general time to work? Having a family, being available for ANY shift on any given day is pretty rough.

Mid-day shifts would be nearly impossible for me to commit to. As I need that time to help the kid with homework and make her dinner.

Really need early/late hours ... but they force you to be available any part of the day? Doesn't seem practical unless you're single and have no school or family responsibility.

Hi,

I've been watching this thread for a bit. Got my call Monday. I'm set for the middle of next month to start training. Still waiting for my email.(since receiving the offer call Monday)

I have a question about the iMac. Are we going to be able to use the iMac for personal purposes as well as doing our daily work? I have multiple Macs and actually have an newer iMac for production purposes. It would be nice to get rid of the one I currently have. I will technically have two iMacs at this point besides my MBP and Mac Mini.

Any information or ideas on this?

Congrats to everyone that got hired.

Cheers!

Had my 3rd interview today, I feel sort of 50/50 about it. Pretty much waiting on my "thanks for playing" email.

Best of luck to everyone. :)

You never know... if it was mainly technical questions, I wouldn't worry too much. If you were friendly and 'customer-servicey' (lol) you might be lucky!

You should definitely call the recruiter an ask for an update!

I've called the recruiter who said, "This is my direct line. Call me if you need anything." Of course, I haven't gotten a response.

----------

My call happened on my 12th day, you'll get your call!

If you do decide to email on an update. The person that did my first facetime interview was the person that gave me my offer call. The person whos email was on the hireright forms, never returned any of my emails.

I'm definitely hoping so. I haven't gotten the rejection email, so trying to stay positive. Thanks for the info. I may need to try to contact someone else.

I spoke too soon. :) I got the HireRight email just a few minutes ago. WOW!!!!

Now to fill that out, get it all squared away and get an offer call.

I am up for 11/26, part time CPU.

I've been lurking and reading for a week or so now, and have finally gotten caught up. I've applied for the Columbus, OH job a week ago and haven't gotten a response. I did recently get a response from Kelly Services to do the evaluation, but haven't done it yet. My question is, either company flexible on start dates? My plant is shutting down 12/31, and to get my severance package and stay pay I need to stay until they release me. Is it worth applying now, or should I wait until December to apply?

Thanks

Congratulations on the offer call![/QUOTE]

Thank you! I was so excited I forgot to ask if it was for IOS or CPU. I was originally set for IOS and a start date of 11/5.

I am part time too BTW.

I just want to say how amazing this forum has been.. so supportive and helpful.

Who all is in the 11/12 class? I haven't seen too many post that they are in 11/12 (CPU). I'm starting to think my call was a dream, lol. No offer email yet... call was on monday.

What is the average turn around time for the email?

Looks like we are in the same class and the same boat waiting for our email. I guess they bumped me to CPU after being set for IOS.
