Kelly hires for this position only for $9/hr compared to direct from Apple, is I believe $14/hr...all part time.

Apple pay varies according to where you live, I think. When my recruiter was telling me about pay, he had to refer to something on his computer and he confirmed my home state. He did say it is a fixed amount because it is a tier one job. It is not based on experience...meaning everyone in your region will be starting at the same rate.

Also, most AHAs used to be part-time now they are hiring for many full-time positions now.

I just got confirmation that its Part Time employment - Full time hours only for Training right now with flexibility to get Full Time hours when taking live calls based on Call Ques/Metrics, etc. and will never be consistent.

I received this information straight from one of the Trainers verified by HR

I have a question. I sent off my information to HireRight on Monday. I just found out they do an employment history check. I listed my 3 most recent and relevant employers only. I have had a few other jobs I did not list because I was there for such a short amount of time and it was completely irrelevant to what I was applying for. The dates I did list are relatively accurate.. perhaps off by maybe a month or so.. Do you think that will cause me to not be hired? The previous jobs have all been within the last 5 years, but some companies I was only with for a few weeks or maybe a month (I did a lot of moving around unexpectedly).

And to those that are worried -- I applied around June 1st and totally forgot about it. The second week of July I got a call and email from them. I was really excited! So don't give up hope.. it took them over a month to contact me!

They may inquire about the gaps in between, ask what you did, etc. If you tell the truth after the fact, might bite you in the a$$ but if you tell them the truth, and did not disclose it, doesn't show honesty. Depends how bad they want to hire you I guess.

This is, in this job market/economy - people do not find work right away and there are going to be gaps. I was told by several people that some will not even look at your resume if you are unemployed for 6 mths or more. I was like, what...so if I have an excellent work ethic and busting my tail off to get a job and have not in 6 months, and the way the economy is that you will not consider me. Crazy.

I guess people think that its like being out of school for so long, that you forget everything, your work ethic is out the door now and you are lazy. Right. Lazy looking for work every morning, for 10+ hours/day...right!

I guess I was unclear, sorry! Apple is hiring full-time AND part-time positions. I was told my position would consist of 5 eight hour shifts per week (40 hours) and could increase during peak seasonal times. The part-time position is guaranteed 20 hours each week and can increase hours according to company need also.

Onward.

----------

Pretty sure the phone line has to be analog and the internet connection has to be wired to the Mac.

Analog - POTS or Digital - and has to be Apple Approved

----------

Does anybody else know if google voice will suffice for a phone line if it's connected via VoIP? What about mobile Internet and hot spot options?

No. Only digital or Analog and has to be an Apple approved provider.

You should be fine I was worried about the same thing but my check cleared and my dates were a couple months off. They called my recent employers and just ask did so n so work there from this date to that date. And they try and figure out what your salary was. My background check finished and was sent to Apple monday and I still haven't heard anything.

Your right. I was offered a full-time position too. I hope they get back to us soon. The wait is driving me crazy lol. I also want to know so that I can put in my 2 weeks with my current job.

Yea its my First FaceTime Interview! Thanks for the advice, I previously ran a Healthcare Education company tech department and was a Instructional Technology Clerk at a local college. I have great experiences to recall! I am very knowledgeable in Apple Products and love the Company! Hope it goes well! Thanks PopChips!

In my final interview I was asked what's one thing that irritates you at your current job and why should we choose you. My interview was real relaxed, we joked around, I made her laugh, and most important sounded extremely confident. There was no silence the entire interview.

OMG!!! I thought I was the only one. I also applied to the Allentown area since that is the only one open in the Philadelphia region. I applied July 4th, and I have not heard a word from them. But like someone said, don't lose hope. Hopefully, we will get contacted soon.

Hi,

I've been following the thread during my hiring process and all the information helped me so much. Does anyone know if you have to sign for the new hire Fed-Ex package? I wasn't sure if I need to be at home tomorrow morning for my package or not. I am so stoked to start the position and congrats to the rest of my class. :)

Bittersweet News!

It saddens me to report that I have been removed from KellyConnect's (Kelly Services) AHA program. At 4:06 p.m. ET today, I inquired via email about the status of the time for the first week's advisor training session slotted for next week. Apparently, the "tone" of my email was disfavored by someone with Kelly and the decision to boot me from the program was rendered. Ironically, I was informed that I could apply for other positions with Kelly Services. :) I extended a wholehearted apology and asked to speak with the decision-maker to clarify my intentions, as it was obvious that such had been misconstrued and taken out of context. My request was denied by the HR representative.

I wish each of you the best of success with your new positions (and it appears that those who are direct hires by Apple are in the frontline for career success).

I was really looking forward to this opportunity to work from home servicing the customers of such a reputable company (Apple) -- not for the pay, of course, but for the opportunity. Do you think Apple may consider hiring me? LOL

I don't know. HOWEVER, it will be there early from what I understand so why don't you wait around just in case you do? Too important to miss if you ask me! I'm getting mine tomorrow too and can't wait!

Woo hoooooo, CONGRATS!!! I know how you feel...once he said "we want to offer you the position", my head started spinning I was so excited. My recruiter even went on to tell me how much I am going to love working for Apple and shared some of his love for the company with me. How lucky are we?!?!

He quoted 24-48 hours and even said it could be Monday before I get the new hire email. However, I got my email in less than 4 hours. I think the team I am working with is super efficient though...all my emails and phone calls have been very, very prompt. So, if you didn't hear today it will most likely be Monday.

Well, I think you should apply...if you've got the skills for Kelly, you probably have them for Apple, too! Be confident...you can do it. :) Just don't send any terse emails.....;)

Hi All!

I've been following this forum since Tuesday and thought I'd give the rundown of what I've gone through so far because it seems a little different from some of the situations I've read in this forum.

I'm from South Texas.

7/17 - 4pm Applied
7/17 - 7pm Received first email from Recruiter and answered that email promptly

7/18 - Missed call from recruiter because of not having my cell and home phone with me while outside with my kids
7/19 - Had short interview with Recruiter and scheduled first Skype interview
7/20 - Had first skype interview and he told me that whereas he normally waits and reviews the questions before offering, he was going to immediately offer me to move on to the second interview.

Also I filled out the Official Apple Application today too.

So far, so good I hope. I would be in the 8/13 class.

Next Tuesday, the 24th is going to be my second interview and I'm hoping that all continues to go great. I'm so excited about possibly working for this company!

In my interview today, I found out that for sure that you have to sign for the iMac but I'm not sure about the paperwork...Play it safe and just be there to sign. :)

IMHO, the email was not really terse. I merely asked what time we will be training next week so I can coordinate my student tutoring schedule with parents. I think on Friday at 4:06 p.m., we would have received our training schedules by then when we completed orientation on Tuesday, July 17. I simply said I was somewhat disappointed in the late notifications of schedules and because of the low pay, I supplement my income with tutoring assignments and needed to provide the parents with my availability for next week, as the inflexibility in the training schedule was taking precedent over my other activities.

I just feel that the decision-maker read too much into the email. It just wasn't meant to be with Kelly, that's all. Although it's very discouraging and demotivating to be kicked out like a dog without discussing the received tone with me and the expectations of Kelly Services with a new employee who is becoming acclimated with the process, this too shall pass and I will rise! :). Information was received from so many different sources. One email stated training will be 9-6, M-F, then the trainer said that may change to a noon-day starting time, but an email will be sent confirming the time.

At 4:06 p.m., and the weekend nearing, I had not received an email and I had a parent calling me daily trying to coordinate her child's tutoring sessions. I think I was merely a process of elimination tactics. They never intended to keep all of us; and the opportunity knocked to eliminate one of us. It's was about 26 hirees in the orientation sessions.

I got my email 20 minutes after my call. I guess it all depends on the recruiter or how busy they are at the time.

Yes, I start on the 13th and received my offer on Thursday. I missed the call and they didn't leave a message, it was an 877 number. I googled and called back and got ahold of someone in staffing. They went through everything again, dates, equipment, etc...

When did you go in for paperwork? I went last Fri, the 13th. Hopefully they'll get back to you soon, if not, the # is (877) 617-9378

Good luck!

It only took one week for completion of the background check after I went into the local Kelly office to complete the employment paperwork. So you should hear something soon.
