 Hi , All I have been following this forum and congrats to everyone!. I also will be in the Aug 13th Class hired by Kelly of course... I actually applied for this position on June 16th and received an automated call on July 3rd stating I had 24 hours to complete testing in which I was sent a link to my e-mail. I was informed I had 24 hours to take the tests but I actually took the tests on the 5th due to the 4th being the holiday. After I finished the tests and the mock call center calls about 3 minutes later an HR rep called me and said I did really well on the tests and scheduled me for a phone interview that took place on a Saturday. It lasted about 30 minutes. It went very well. I was told at the end of the interview that they would like to proceed to the next step and was sent an e-mail with information about the position and onboarding info. I was then called by an HR rep that gave me verbal details for the nearest Kelly office to me and also recived an e-mail . I called and scheduled a time to fill out paperwork on the 11th and was called an offered the position the following Wednesday.

Hi guys, OP here. I did the job for a year in the college program. Good experience, moved on for new expetiences. Ask whatever you want.

I am in college but I just accepted an offer for a full time position with apple to work from home. I decided to take night classes so that I can work this job. I would like to know if you get to choose your hours or does Apple?

Hey everyone,
I applied to the Kelly services and I did the behavior, personality and mock center test last week. How long does it take them to respond or do I have to call them in ask about the application process and how I did on the test?

Hey Im Also from South Texas, I also have my second interview on Tuesday the 24th! Hope it goes well

-Cesar

Hi All!

I've been following this forum since Tuesday and thought I'd give the rundown of what I've gone through so far because it seems a little different from some of the situations I've read in this forum.

I'm from South Texas.

7/17 - 4pm Applied
7/17 - 7pm Received first email from Recruiter and answered that email promptly

7/18 - Missed call from recruiter because of not having my cell and home phone with me while outside with my kids
7/19 - Had short interview with Recruiter and scheduled first Skype interview
7/20 - Had first skype interview and he told me that whereas he normally waits and reviews the questions before offering, he was going to immediately offer me to move on to the second interview.

Also I filled out the Official Apple Application today too.

So far, so good I hope. I would be in the 8/13 class.

Next Tuesday, the 24th is going to be my second interview and I'm hoping that all continues to go great. I'm so excited about possibly working for this company!

----------

In my interview today, I found out that for sure that you have to sign for the iMac but I'm not sure about the paperwork...Play it safe and just be there to sign. :)

To those who are or have worked this position, how much downtime do you have while on the clock? Also, what do you do during that free time?

Same here! How long have you been waiting?

As of today I have been waiting for almost two weeks. They kept saying that it was under REVEIW when in reality they could have given me that number to the verification to clear up some questions that they had. I have a very common name I mean super common and although it showed I cleared in every county on the national check there was some weird charge that they had no date or file number on. They called me and apologized so they said they were going to send the information over to Kelly on Monday. Hopefully I did not miss the window at to start in the class on the 13t. My luck sometimes kills me.

First of all it is a TEMP service not a REAL live job. So call and email all you want. They only care about bodies honey, they aren't worried about you calling them. They get paid to follow up and for as much as they want to know about you for this and any job at this agency they should be happy that you are sitting around waiting for them to hire you.

New here

I just joined this forum because this seems to be one of the few threads on the internet that pertains to the at home adviser position. I'm currently in the middle of the application process, both with Apple and Kelly Services. I'm pretty sure I have the Kelly position since I passed all of the interviews and they want me to come in and sign the tax stuff. They just started the background check but that shouldn't be a problem since I just passed 2, one from the TSA and one from the Coast Guard. I've worked in tech for over 20 years (windows) and I'm reluctant to work for $9 an hour for Kelly. That's less than what Compuserve paid me for tier 1 support 24 years ago. Apple starts at $14 and while that's not tons better, I'd still do it part time since telecommuting is ideal in my situation. I have my first Skype interview with Apple tomorrow and the phone interviewer I talked with Friday thought I'd do very well even though 99% of my experience is with windows and linux. Apple called and e-mailed me the day after I submitted a cover letter and resume on line so it appears they are in a hurry to finish the process by the start of training on Aug. 6th... not sure about the date. We'll see how it goes and I'll post the info that I can on this thread.

I got a call the day after finishing the on line evaluation and after a 30 minute phone interview they send me an e-mail directing me to go to the nearest office and show both proof of citizenship and to sign I-9 forms. They seem to move the process pretty quickly.

Go with Apple if you can. You can start a career there. Apple doesn't care about the systems that you are familiar with...just that you are tech literate to some degree. They care MUCH more about how you will interact with their customers. From what I've read they are looking for positive personalities, love of Apple products and company and an ability to learn tech stuff. All I can tell you is be yourself, every one I've met at Apple is laid back and conversational...low key totally. They want to get a gist of who you are as a person mostly and a little of what you know too. :)

Good luck tomorrow!

Oh no I'm sorry I should have been more clear, I have been through the entire interview process and I am currently waiting for a third party company called HireRight to do my background check and submit it to Apple. It has been exactly a week today since I have filled out the forms for the background check and Apple has yet to receive the background check info from them, it's making me nervous/impatient, I feel like I'm 90% of the way through the process and now it's just taking forever for the last step!

Did you ever get an offer?

Same here! How long have you been waiting?

I just got hired through Kelly Services. I filled out the paperwork on the 12th at the local office.and I got a call on the 17th offering me the position. It seems like the norm is that once you pass the interview you have the job as long as your background comes back clear. Good Luck!!

The pay is a big thing for me, but I'm currently in school and hoping this will help build my resume up on the technical side. I was offered the position through Kelly Services. I am not within 100 miles from Apple so I believe I am not eligible to apply with them. Good luck to you on your interview. :)

----------

I was hired through Kelly Services for this position. We all know the pay and I'm willing to deal with that, because of the opportunity:D. I heard there are performance increases and potential weekly bonuses. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about this. I'm really excited about this experience it will be my first time working from home full time. :D

I had completed the orientation with Kelly and was set to start the new advisor training on Monday. Yes, it's 17% of your pay for bonuses if you meet your quota and satisfy all of the performance metrics, which include customer feedback ratings. Wishing you the best of success!

You would think, huh? Well that wasn't the case in my situation. I opted to email and got booted.... It wasn't meant to be via Kelly. Actually when I shared the experience with one of the parents of a tutoring student, she asked me to add more time to her daughter's tutoring schedule to compensate for the salary I would have made with Kelly. I charge $35 per hour! I sincerely accepted the job for the opportunity and experience and not for the pay. So it's sort of disappointing. Most leaders do not understand the value of motivating employees.

Thanks! I'm headed to the Kelly office this AM to sign I-9 forms but my hope is to pass muster with Apple. I'm not too thrilled about doing this job with Kelly Services and may not even accept if they offer the position. $9.00 per hour is just too low. I did tier 1 support for the first few years I worked in tech and it is more customer service related than not so it helps being able to communicate with people no matter what their level of expertise. The trick for me will be convincing the Apple interviewer that I'm not an aged curmudgeon (which I am). I should be OK, I'm pretty good at putting on a "happy face" and appearing as though I think technology is better than sex:D

I applied online for the position with Apple on 7/15 and still haven't heard anything back. Does it typically take that long to hear something back? I only got a automated confirmation email that it was received. I'm also wondering if I apply with Kelly, will that kill my chances with Apple? Or is neither aware of what the other is doing? I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and apply with Kelly. I have been watching the thread and the responses vary. I also wondered if I should use another AppleID to apply to Apple. lol I dunno. I'm just kinda antsy right now and wondering what's up. Maybe I'm just a little too impatient. Any responses would be appreciated.

more info

Weird how many post they are only getting $10 an hour. For the non-college student profession work-at-home adviser, I got offered $16 per hour to start. It is a part-time flex position with 20 hours guaranteed each week with 40 hours during peek times. $16 an hour isn't bad, especially since the average person commutes 20 miles a day for work, so 100 miles per week...so add another $1 per hour to make up for gas + wear and tear on your vehicle, it would be like earning $17 per hour or so. So, not too bad, but I know work-from-home isn't for everyone, especially if you have to have social interaction to survive. Also, I did side-by-side comparison for this particular position to other similar positions, and the pay is right on.

Could you tell me what state you live in and what work background you have. Do you have any of the apple certifications? I was hired for this position through Kelly Services, but the salary is a lot lower. I want to get hiried directly by Apple, but I'm wondering if I will get a salary closer to yours. The salaries may vary by state. I live in North Carolina.

Another post I've read said that there was a two week period after applying for the job that the person got an actual response from Apple. I got hired through Kelly, but I still went ahead and applied directly to Apple because I want a higher pay rate. If you don't get in through Apple, go ahead and apply through Kelly and get the experience and then apply again directly to Apple afterwards.
