iPod too for AHA's?

I've heard "rumors" that new AHA's assigned to iOS also get an iPod along with their iMac's. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I believe you borrow one for training and then have to send it back.

They'll ask you to send them back about a month after the completion of training. I have run into some folks that lucked out because Apple forgot about the iPods but I wouldn't count on that happening.

For anyone going into iOS that does not have their own iDevice you might think about getting an iPad. Even though I had no use for one personally, it's been invaluable on the job and it was hard to beat the $124 price tag (employee purchase plan +).

first time applying for Apple

I wanted to know who's have talk to 2 recruiters or 1 recruiter and 1 hire manager cuz i am very confuse at that point.

Fortunately we have a few "i devices." My wife has a first-gen iPad, she also has an iPhone5 and the kids all have iPod Nano's.

After you compete the questionnaire that you were emailed you are called by a recruiter who asks you simple questions. She then schedules your 2nd interview (recruite who will be in contact with you after your 3rd interview) which is either by phone or face time. After that she told me id receive an email to schedule my 3rd interview. Which I did later that night and my 3rd and final FaceTime interview (the hiring manager) was the next day. From there they say you will receive an email within 1-5 days. For me it wasn't the BGC email it was the "thanks for your interest in apple but were going with other candidates".
This is the normal hiring process through corporate. What they tell you and how long to receive communication after an interview has been different for all of us. But you talk to 3 people.

Actually, dealing with kids will prep you better for this postion than any experience you might have with Apple technology.

Just said I accept to the offer email :D thanks to ag for the good advice posted by you thru out the whole thread

I did get a reply from my recruiter. She said that while she understood me being interested in feedback, she could not provide me with any. She said that it is a highly competitive process and I should be proud to have made it as far as I did. She said to feel free to browse the jobs on Apple and best of luck. At least I got a nice reply. :) I would like to re-apply at some point.

I just got, and replied to, my offer letter. It says full time though, which is awesome if true. Is thispossibly in error though?

----------

It also says start date April 15 instead of march 25 as discussed. Correct name and hourly rate though.

----------

I just called. It was in error sounds like multiple offer letters were wrong. Just a heads up for anyone else.

Wow, what a thing to be wrong! So are you 3/25/part time then?

I just said "I accept" to the offer email as well, for 3/25. (I think iOS).

Aye. 3/25 PT. Had my hopes up. They will be sending corrected offer letters shortly.

Hip, hip, you guys!!! Oh, wow...what a great feeling it must be. I'm so excited for all of you!!! Sorry for all the exclamation points!!!!!

Sorry about the mix-up, Hobo. From what I understand, though, FT is an option at various times, which will feel like a pay bonus when you think about it. :)

Hey, it was worth it just to know that you won't have to be sneaky when you reapply. :)

Yes it was. :)

YAY!! Updateupdateupdateupdate!!! I got the BGC email, filled in the form, and now I get to go visit my sister in GA with a lighter heart. :D
I know there is still quite a bit of waiting and nail biting in my immediate future, but at least I'm through the judge-y part of the process, right?

Seriously, to all you AHA thread veterans, THANK YOU sooo much for all the helpful support and info. Even if I don't make it past this stage, I know I wouldn't have made it this far without youse guys.

Congrats!!! I havent heard anything yet and I started my process on January 29th!!! No email or anything. How would the email look? Whould it say APPLE in it? So frustrating!!!!

Okay, I'll be upfront and say that I don't want to be too specific, just in case...and I definitely don't wanna hurt my chances at this point. (Not after all the grey hairs I've earned.)

I will say that the first email I got came from a first/last name source, and the subject line said, "Apple wants to learn more about you!" This was the email that contained the questionnaire. It came almost a full 5 weeks after my initial application. (I applied on Jan. 4th.)

Thank you so much for the info. I am trying so hard to be patient but it seems like for some its just so simple! I really need this job for extra income and I know I have the experience for the job. Will just wait on my "FIRST EMAIL" :D

Any 3/25 people want to keep in touch during the process? If so, toss me a message. Might be nice to have support as we go along. :apple:
