definitely follow their advice. also, they want to check your surroundings since where you skype from is most likely the location you'll be working from. i liked it more than a phone interview. its much easier to sell yourself when the person can look you in the face/eyes so to speak.

in other news:
my equipment just came in!!

Ah so that's what it's about? checking the surroundings and seeing you face-to-face. Understood. So theres a follow up interview after this one? I'm kinda nervious because if they go into deep detail about Macs and tech, I may not be able to handle it. lol I can definitely handle customer scenarios though. I just don't know what to expect.

Congrats! I filled out my background check forms on Tuesday night so hopefully I'll hear back soon. :)

I also got my call yesterday. Start Aug 13TH, pretty much if you get your background check from hireright you got the job. Its just a waiting game. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Apple is very big on customer service and empathy, The knowledge can be taught. Focus more on the customer needs and be empathetic and you will get yourself in with apple very well!

It's a few technical aspects and more customer related aspects.

thats my speculation. i only had one real interview (the skype one). prior to that, i talked to 2 recruiters about what the job was. after that one skype interview, everything else was about me preparing to start working for them.

What area are they choosing from????

Is there anyone here getting a response from the Midwest area? I am in the Illinois suburbs and I have sent my resume twice and have yet to get a response. Just wondering if anyone in my area has gotten a response.

One thing that really bothers me about Kelly Services is that they require internet speeds to be minimum 10MB down while Apple only requires 2MB down. My DSL service through CenturyLink is not capable of being upgraded beyond 7MB and I'd hate to have to pay much more for cable.

Anyone have any problems with this?

Has anyone found out about the location thing for the actual APPLE position:cool:

I just applied in a state different than mine. I just did it today. I'll update if I hear anything back.

I am in the August 13th Class! Im looking forward to it so exciting! And My background check took 24 hours, HireRight Checked the employers and such and Apple Called Me back Promptly! It was awesome! Just Waiting for the Paperwork. How long did that take you guys to receive?

Congrats! What class are you in?

I applied on Tuesday evening and got a response about a little over an hour later. Then Wednesday instead of her responding to the email, she randomly called me about it. She confirmed everything and then set me up for a facetime interview today. (I wonder why they do faceTime and Skype instead of regular phone interviews. oh well). So I'm wondering what's after this interview (if i pass). She told me to make sure I'm confident in my answers and brush up on extras about Apple and tech. So I've got 3 hours to get busy studing.

Congrats! I filled out my background check forms on Tuesday night so hopefully I'll hear back soon. :)

You didn't have a background check?

I called Hireright today to check the status on mine. They have only 2 more things to verify on mine. So hopefully tomorrow or Monday I'll hear something. :)

Final Interview

Hi everyone,
I am preparing for my third interview.
So my question is for those who have already been hired by Apple.
What were some of the technical questions you were asked?
What was your final interview like?
Also, what is training like?
Thanks in advance!;)

Excited

Hello All,

I have been following this since before my second interview because I wanted to see if anyone had information on the interview process. I love this forum I have found out so much information from you all. I yesterday contacted my second interviewer by email, I got a call from my first interviewer saying that I did really well and they sent me the official apple application and the background check email. So now I'm just waiting for my background check to come back.

So my question is with HireRight did you all just get the phone number online to call and check on the status?

Oh and they want me to start in the August 13th class!

The customer service number is in the email that hireright sends you.
