Hey everyone! I've been lurking macforums for years but this thread finally made me register and post something haha.

I applied on Monday the 23rd and haven't gotten rejected yet so my fingers are crossed. I'm sure I don't have to tell you guys that this would be my dream job right now.

I will keep you guys posted on how long it takes for me to hear something. I applied to Frisco, Dallas, Austin, and Tulsa. I don't know if going for multiple locations hurts my chances or if it shows just how insanely obsessed I am with Apple. lol

Wishing all of you the best. Thanks for sharing your stories with us. It has calmed my anxiety from anticipation. Woohoo!

Fingers crossed for all of us still in the dark!

Welcome to the forum. I too have been lurking for years but made an account because I needed to talk about this. At the moment I'm out of a job because I was downsized out of my last job, I have a fiance and 2 kitties that depend on me and unfortunately I was denied unemployment :-/ so there is a lot riding on this job right now. This forum has definitely been able to keep me calm and makes me feel pretty confident seeing as everyone who got to the background check was offered a position. I'm so excited for Monday as I'm almost positive that when my recruiter will contact me. Good luck to everyone else on here as well!

Good luck to everyone. Im assuming that none of us in the August 6 class has heard anything yet. That should put us all at ease to know we're all together.

Hi all... I have been lurking also. I also applied in numerous cities in the midwest as I live in Oklahoma. My thinking is that it shows that I am really dedicated to getting a job with Apple. Who knows!LOL

I applied originally on July 19th and haven't heard anything back. I applied to two more locations today. Good luck to everyone and I will let you know if I hear anything;)

Thank you! I have my last interview coming up. I was originally asked if I could start in the August class, but after the first contact from Apple they said something about the start of September now.

I wouldn't worry too much. It took over a month before Apple contacted me! I forgot about it after a week or two and was (very pleasantly) surprised when I received a phone call! Sometimes it takes a while but if you have the experience, they'll get to you!

Thanks so much. I have the customer service experience so I'm not worried about that. Nowto use the wait time to learn about the Apple products. I don't own one so I might as well get a leg up and learn them

I live in Garland, Texas and I did the same. I applied for every area nearby and I actually got a response really quick. I did Dallas, frisco, Austin, little rock, Tulsa and any other nearby city in nearby states. Lol but I wish you luck.

Question about Kelly NEO for Apple Advisor Job

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and just have a quick question for anyone who has been through new employee orientation at Kelly services for the Apple at-home advisor position. I was told that I need to enter a teleconference session in the morning but I do not have a headset yet. Will I be on the telephone the whole time? Can I just put my phone on speaker? I know you have to enter a website also and I don't want to run into a situation where I am holding the phone to my ear for three hours and attempting to enter replies on my keyboard. Any help as to what I can expect would be greatly appreciated.

If this is the NEO (New Employee Orientation) session, the very first one, then you do not need the headset. I use used my speaker phone also because you will be instructed to mute the call to reduce feedback anyway. Also, you will be logged into any computer via Elluminate (they should have sent a link to access the WebCT conference via Elluminate). You will, however, need the headset for the next next orientation session for there will be no conference call connection and you will be using your iMAC computer also.

I hope you have Steve Dickens as your trainer. He is so cool!!!

Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the information. And yes, this is the very first session and they did send me a link for the session. I REALLY appreciate the information on the MUTE for the phone. I was so worried that I would need to hold the phone to my ear for three hours. Thanks again!

So far, Is the training what you expected with Apple or Kelly Services?

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

Are you enjoying the training and feel prepared?

Please spill the beans;)

Hello everyone. I originally came to this page to find out some questions that the hiring manager was going to ask on the 2nd interview and I found so much more info. Here is how long it took for me:

7/12 Applied
7/12 Recvd Email asking additional questions
7/13 Got email back with 1st interview info
7/16 First Interview
7/16 Got email to schedule 2nd interview
7/19 Had to reschedule
7/23 2nd Interview
7/24 Got email from HireRight to submit info for background check
7/27 Sent email to Apple to follow up (I had to submit addtl info to HireRight on 7/25, and 7/26)
7/28 Got offer from Apple via phone, and accepted!

I followed up with HireRight so that it would not take too long to get the info from my previous employer. I did have to call one of my previous employer to have them hurry up and send the info to HireRight.
My start date is 8/13/2012, and I am looking forward to it!!:D:D
Praise GOD!!

Congratulations to everyone who applied and got hired or who are in the process!

I work for a call center that outsources support for several lines of business and have done Apple support before, but even feeling as if I have some advantage I'm crazy nervous.

I actually applied for every at-home position I could on the Apple website and heard back today, just a day after I submitted my application. I've never had to write an email back regarding an interview so that was a little intimidating.

How is the training going for everyone? I'm a little nervous about the stability of the job and going from full time to part time is going to be an adjustment but I think working for my dream job at home for Apple will help in that. I haven't seen anyone really posting after they started training or started doing the job, but would be interested to hear how the experience has been. Does anyone know if they're hiring for a specific group like CPU support versus iOS support or if it's all cross product support? At the call center I work for they have the lines of business split.

Waiting for offer letter

I applied through Kelly Services I had the initial interview and did onboarding to complete paperwork. I had to set an appointment with my local branch to fill out I9 and background check, which has come back. I completed and passed everything but when I called recruiters, they said I missed the hiring wave and now they are waiting on Apple to call and give them the go ahead so they can get the next training group in. I am next up in line for training; my question is do anyone know how long it will take them to get the next training class. I am so ready to get started and I am praying that I get the offer letter, as I need it to prove employment.

During my first interview, he asked me what was RAM. He also asked me what was empathy. Also he asked what would I do if a customer calls in that had an accident with their Macbook, what would I do. It is more customer service oriented. I was very upbeat and just had a good time during the interview, and the hiring manager pointed that out during the 2nd interview. I hope this helps. I pray that you get the job.

Hey, in my interview I was advised that I would get calls mainly on iphones, ipods and ipads. I was also told that I would not only be recommended for tech support but also customer service, because my background is in both. I hope this helps. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU

I was wondering, for those of you starting with Kelly on the 13th, when is your orientation this week?
