Hi All I've read through the forum and this is the first time I've seen this mentioned...Does anyone know anything about the team manager hiring process. Can't seem to find any information on the net.

My guess is you won't find anything. I'd just apply and see what happens. It seems you don't need tons of experience, just some call center management background and a 4 year degree is preferable.

Okay, let's do this. Lets not make assumptions about why he or she is here. If carmee really needs answers, then s/he has gotten them, at least for now. If s/he is a troll, then getting attention (especially negative attn) is what s/he's after.
That being the case, in either case, can we all agree to let the matter drop now?

Try pages 40 and 100.

ok lets do this..let's not tell other grown people what to do..however, consider it dropped

Of the 3/25 people, who was told iOS/CPU? I was told iOS, but from what I've read, don't believe that for a fact until you see an iPod in your box.

I was told iOS from my hiring person when she called for my offer call. She said they normally didn't know but since it was so close to 3/25 she had the info. :p I sure hope she was right!

It's been a full week after my BGC completed. I know... some of you had to wait over 3 + weeks but its already driving me crazy lol

My recruiter told me that I can call her if I have "any questions" so I did yesterday asking what's taking so long since my BGC came clean the same day I submitted. She just told me that she appreciates my concern and to wait until they know "either way".

I was like "holy... if I am on the BGC then that means... right? I wanted say but I didn't lol

I hope my call did't change their mind since I probably sounded pretty stressful:(

Took me almost two whole weeks after bgc was done before I got offer call

Just finished BGC, and they did tell me I'm up for CPU; I was just curious as to how they break up the CPU and iOS training classes.

AFAIK, every other week is CPU/iOS. So it goes iOS, then CPU, then iOS etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, friends.

Supporting evidence, or just a shoot-down? ;)

While I don't have any supporting evidence I have been on the job for over 6 months and I can tell you that Apple has every internal process down to a science, from hiring to scheduling. Most of it is based on current and projected call volumes. CPU one week and iOS the next is just too arbitrary and that's not how Apple works.

That's understandable :) I suppose I made an assumption on the limited data from the most recent pages:

3/11- CPU
3/18- iOS
3/25- CPU

and decided that was enough of a pattern! I'm an artist, not a scientist ;)

I know 4/15 and 4/22 are CPU.

AG, are you noticing that there seems to be an increase in the CPU hires? Firstly, do you think/know that an upcoming new product launch is behind it? Secondly, have you considered re-attempting a move to CPU since Apple seems to be looking for more staff in that area?

I still haven't found anyone that knows how to switch from one queue to another. And most of the hiring has been in CPU since they still cannot get to all of their calls while iOS call volume has gone down quite a bit.

One of the downsides to doing AHA stuff is that it's difficult to make a lot of contacts with fellow Apple employees. You only meet people in virtual environments and never really get to know any of them.

Doesn't really matter, I'll probably bail early April. Not only do I dislike the job more and more but they gave me the crappiest shift possible beginning next month and I was supposedly in a spot where I had a good shot at getting the shift I wanted. So, if you're there long enough to do shift bids... they're basically a joke.

Obviously, since a first thing a scientist would tell you is that the sample data size is too small to reach any valid conclusion. The posters in this forum represent a teeny, tiny fraction of the people that are going through the hiring process. Someone in Seattle may be interviewing for a CPU spot today and someone in Cincinnati might be interviewing for and iOS spot at the same time while someone in Austin might be interviewing for an iTunes spot.

There are 1000's of reps on the phone at any given time and 100's that get interviewed every month. There's no way to figure out who is getting hired for what queue in which city from the minuscule amount of data present in this thread.

first time applying for Apple

Yay!!! Today is the day, that I found out some good news or bad news.... I am praying for some good news.........:)

While I've not been working long, I don't find the CPU line to be very busy. There are often long breaks between calls, and several days they've let workers go home early. Maybe it's just my shift.

Which, while it works spectacular for me now, I can see I better enjoy it while I can.

You would know better than me of course, I just check the CPU queue on monsterboard from time to time and you guys are typically busier than us.

Anyone know for sure if 3/25 is iOS or CPU?

Also has anyone ever requested to switch from one or the other before training starts?
