How often are you flexed to full time?

In CPU we Flexed up during Christmas Time, but it really wasn't needed. There was a lot of time between calls even then. On top of that, they extended the FT for another week after we were to go back to PT.

Right now, there are no plans any time soon to flex up.

Waiting sucks! Ha ha. I am also waiting for the offer call. Was told by recruiter that i should hear something on Friday. I am also ft may 6th class.

If you are submitting without a cover letter, then do so...Ive seen on this chat, where a cover letter can increase your chances....and When i applied , i felt over qualified 2 because, i have a 4year degree w/ industry experience and they gave me a chance....keep applying, even if it takes creating multiple APPLE ids and applying for the same positions....I can understand you want out of your current job and I did too.....so be progressive in your applications and stick with....eventually someone will discovered you.....

I did not have a cover letter but I am going to type one up and reapply tomorrow. Any advice on what anyone feels may be useful information for a cover letter , would be much appreciated. Thanks to all for the updates and posting your experience.

Does this mean that there is a lot of time between calls on an average day?

2-3 mins on average between calls, sometimes less than a minute.

----------

Your schedule is static for 4/5 months (until the next shift bid).

Yep, very true.

I started in November and my schedule does not change until May.
You will not have enough stats to shift bid the first time.
They decided it would give you a disadvantage against the others who have more stats.

Ok so I have been looking for the AHA program in my area and I only see the job for Japanese. Any ideas how I can get an interview?

I have everything there asking for except the Japanese.

Timeline

Hi all, I thought I would post my timeline as it seems very different from the others and I did some things differently...

Mid-Late February (I am sorry, I am going through my past emails and I cannot find the date that I spoke with the rep and applied): Met with a rep on my university campus, discussed the job position and answered questions, applied for at home advisor position that same day
3/12: Received "next steps" email, which included answering the questionare and submitting a transcript
3/18: Received Email To Submit Apple Application
NOTE: I FAILED TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION (which included references) PRIOR TO MY INTERVIEW DESPITE THE DIRECTIONS SAYING TO DO SO, I SUBMITTED IT ON 3/27
3/19: Facetime interview
3/27: Submitted Application, Received HireRight email and submitted necessary information
4/1: Received a call from the rep that I spoke with in Mid-Late February letting me know that I will be offered a position and that I will receive my official offer letter in a week

ABOUT ME: The only thing different from I guess a normal applicant is that I worked part time over the summer in a very similar job setting but with a Dell sponsored company.

I applied though Kelly connect, was not aware it was for Apple.

My first email was received on March 27th to answer questions, I answered and email back same day. I got a 2nd email to do a employment test and voice audition that same day. I did both and then I was done.

On Friday March 29th, I get a call stating that I've been selected to have an interview to work for Apple at home advisor. The interview was set up for April 1st at 1:15 PM phone interview. I then got a confirmation email stating the same thing.

April 1st, I had my phone interview it lasted about half an hour. Was told that with all the questions I answered I was being moved onto the next round and that if hired I would start May 13th. That I would receive an email from the on boarding team and to answer those questions and we could move on with the process. I received that email about 10 minutes later and did all the paperwork.

April 2nd, I received a call from the recruiter stating that if hired and I wanted to start earlier I could start April 29th. I received an email confirming that I am moved to the April 29th starting date.

April 3rd, I get a phone call and email stating that I have to go to my local Kelly services office to do my I-9 form.

April 4th, I have my appointment to fill out my I-9 form at 4:30 PM EST.

After the form should only be the background check that I will be waiting on but should come back within a few weeks before the start date and then I should get an official job offer if everything is passed, which it will be.

Log into your profile from the Apple jobs site, and then check your "My Activities" tab. Your official application might be there.
I had to do that b/c I never got an email with a link to my application. Maybe it's the same situation for you...?

Hmmm, I just tried, but no luck. Hopefully I'll get it soon! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I also just got my offer letter today. I interviewed last thursday, and got my hireright email the day after, so the turnaround time wasn't too long at all. I'm from the University of Florida.

I also go to the University of Florida! I submitted my 15-minute questionnaire almost 2 weeks ago. Do you still work for apple by any chance? Do you know if they are still hiring?

----------

If they decide that you don't qualify for the position after the 15-minute questionnaire, do they notify you? I am freaking out because have not gotten an answer yet and it's almost been two weeks

I'd skip Kelly and apply with Apple directly. Not only does Apple pay about $6.00 per hour more (depending on location) but has health care as well. Unless you're desperate, Kelly just isn't the way to go with this job.

For everyone applying - if you've been turned down once (by Apple), stick with it and reapply. I can't get reliable figures but AHA reps have been dropping like flies... including me after we change schedules next week. There is a pretty big turnover in AHA so they always need people.

If you hire on through kelly, can you still get on board through apple directly or are you stuck. I am going through both the kelly process and started with apple (got my 11 question email and am waiting to hear back on it)

maybe not a w2 but there is a self employed tax form. I do not remember what it is called.
