Update had my last Interview today. It went good. Heres my timeline

3/27 -Apply
3/28 -email with questions
3/28 -sent email back promptly
3/28 -Spoke briefly, another interview setup
3/29 -Phone Interview
3/29 -Scheduled interview for 4/3
4/2 -Official Application for employment
4/3 -Facetime Interview
4/3 HireRight email came

quoted start date is 5/20 I'll keep you all posted

congrats! On that same note, I applied on that same day and did not get the email with the questions until monday, 04-01 and have not heard anything since completing it, which I sent it back the same day. Should I be worried? I am not in any way a mac expert, but I do know my way around an iphone. I have 2 years work from home experience troubleshooting smart phones. Am I doing something wrong? I put in a cover letter and applied to a few locations. I got in through kelly, but I really would like to be a direct hire and it looked like the process was finally starting.

ag,

dropping like flies? Is it a very demanding scheldule or not enough hours to give??if you can ,please elaborate for me...

some of it is part of the package. call center jobs have high turnover and working from home even worse. It does take a certain kind of person to be able to work from home. For most of the clients I have worked with, there is easily a 50% drop during certification (and these are clients that you have to pay $100+ to certify)

I'd skip Kelly and apply with Apple directly. Not only does Apple pay about $6.00 per hour more (depending on location) but has health care as well. Unless you're desperate, Kelly just isn't the way to go with this job.

For everyone applying - if you've been turned down once (by Apple), stick with it and reapply. I can't get reliable figures but AHA reps have been dropping like flies... including me after we change schedules next week. There is a pretty big turnover in AHA so they always need people.

I think right now I'm just stick with Kelly, I've worked with Kelly before and right now it's very hard to find a job in my area. So I'm going to take what I can get right now, and in the future if I can get direct hired to Apple after working with Kelly for a bit that would be great!

I could be wrong, but is Apple only hiring for part-time? I've browsed through their AHA openings and all seem PT. Kelly was at least FT. Less pay still is a downer though.

That's my plan. LOL I finished my I9 the other day and am just waiting confirmation.

Hiring part and full time. I just got hired full time.

OK. I must have not been clicking on the right jobs. I only found part-time sadly.

Thanks though. I will keep looking. And congrats!

Although I applied for part time they also offered me full time if I'm hired. I still choose part time.

If I'm hired I'll be attending the training starting on 5/20 but haven't been told what product line I'll be supporting although I was told the training is five weeks. Is the training material the same regardless? I imagine that part timers and full timers may attend the same training? The first email I received noted that training is either 4 or 5 weeks so maybe the length is different based on what you'll be supporting? At least one person here noted they are starting training on 5/20 for Mac computers but maybe you can attend the same training but support another product line than others? Or maybe there are different trainings that start on the same day? Does anyone know how may people can be attending the same training? Does anyone how much of a pay increase there is for a Tier 2 At Home Advisor? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Thanks! The may 6th class is full time aha. Not sure what the schedule will be like. Getting very excited. Cant wait until I start.

Hey guys. I have a question for those who got hired (got the offer call).

Around what time did you get the call?

My BGC was completed and submitted to Apple yesterday. I should know whether I got it hopefully by tomorrow and luckily I didn't get a rejection email. (3 other friends of mine were rejected early in the day).

Retro they called you already?!? Nice! What time was the call? I'm still waiting on mine. May 6th full time CPU also.

No not yet. I am assuming I have the job. Expecting offer calls tomorrow sometime. That was when the recruiter said she would have more info. Since i havent received a rejection letter I can only assume they are hiring me. Plus it sounds like high turnover so chances are pretty good.

Is there no drug test for this job? I got the position through Kelly Services. I did all my electronic paperwork including background check yesterday online and today I got an e-mail to call my local Kelly branch. I called them up and they scheduled a time for me tomorrow to come in to do the I-9 paperwork. I can't find anything about a drug test in this whole thread though it is a big one.

Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

For some people it's the schedule, for others - they move on to better things, for many... The job just plain sucks after a while. All the calls are just variations of the same 10 issues... over and over and over. I've said it a million times, if you like customer service you will probably like this job. If you like technical challenges and problem solving you WILL ultimately hate this job. End of story.

I did not get drug tested when I went in, just paperwork.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation! :)

No problem. I went in, thinking I could ask questions and talk about schedules, but the lady didn't know the program well... :(

After filling out the paperwork, you just wait for them to contact you, which happens after Kelly receives confirmation of your paperwork.

Don't forget the important drivers license and SSN card!

Perfect, I have my SSN card + driver's license ready to go. Just can't get any info tomorrow about the job itself when I go to sign the paperwork at Kelly eh. No biggie. I've done phone based customer service for years, can't imagine it'll be anything new :D

I have nothing to fear on my background check so sounds like after doing paperwork tomorrow, I'll just need to wait for that to complete and I'll get a call from Kelly confirming I'm hired?

Not 100% sure, but I can only speak from experience. I'm still waiting for paperwork to be confirmed. I will let you know then.

Offer

I received the official Apple offer today via email. I got the call from my rep letting me know I would receive my offer on April 1st. I posted my timeline on page 251, which would have answered at least 3 questions from 251 to the current page. You all should check it out...

Looks good, and still no mention of a drug screen with your offer? Fantastic!

Were your friends Rejected after the bgc email?

Thanks AG, I know I can always depend on you for the Blatant Truth. lmbo!!.....you rock AG!!!

Nah, they didn't make it to the BGC. So I should be okay. I just wanted to make sure. Those I know that got the call were mainly closer to closing for the day. I guess it all depends.

In addition to my questions in post #6284 I was wondering if anyone can tell me if Apple uses remote access to resolve Mac issues? Last I heard they didn't. Thanks again!
