for all you Kelly ppl, I just got scheduled for my 2nd interview. This one is also over the phone. It is after the I9 and completing the assessments online. Mine is on Monday.

How many complete training vs enter? Percentage

Do know the avg length of TIL,, time to live for an AHA tech?

The longest time somebody has been in this position?

Turn over seem high, maybe higher than avg for such a position..

Thanks and all the best

JM

Those questions are almost impossible to answer unless you work in HR at Apple. AHA reps are so disconnected from everything that getting an idea of what the "big picture" looks like is difficult at best. There are no lunch room chats with coworkers, no rumor mills, very little contact with your team manager and communication with other members of your team is not easy either. You may work for Apple but you might as well be working from the moon.

Everything I know I got by crunching numbers from stats that are available to us. E.g. I know there were over xxxx iOS reps in Jan. and now there are xxxx. I know they are desperate for people because they've been offering us $xxx cash to "sign up a friend". I don't have hard numbers but everything adds up to high turnover.

Keep in mind that this is a "service industry" job, not tech sector employment and as such, does not pay a lot and tends to have a high turnover. It's a call center job that you do from home... people still get burned out on taking calls week after week after week.

*The xxx's are just so I don't violate the NDA too much.

just had first real call...an extremely irate customer..just my luck....lol have a super migraine now

I just finished up my Kelly call. I didn't get a second interview though. We talked about the position (since I didn't really have a recruiter talk) and then he offered me the position.

I start training late April.

I don't use the VPN for much off time other than accessing all the AHA stats as well as the employee store and a few other things. The only reason I started using the Mac during free time was to brush up on OSX just in case I'd be in AHA long enough to switch to the CPU queue. That's no longer the case so I don't use it much for anything other than work since it will be going back to Apple pretty soon.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if the starting salary is the same regardless of the product line you support? Thanks again!

Recruiter finally called with the offer call! Of course I was in the shower. Called back and left a message. Just waiting for her to call back. So excited here!!! Good luck to everyone else. Hope the offer call comes soon for 5/6 peeps!

As far as I know it doesn't matter what group you're in, starting rate is based solely on your location.

Got the HireRight situation figured out... they were able to verify my education and work history but are waiting on my slow a** county courthouse to verify that I have no criminal background... waiting sucks!!

Congrats to all that got their offer call today!!

I haven't seen anyone else that will be in the April 29th class. I got my paperwork today and have my paperwork session Monday afternoon

I will be there. I finally got my confirmation call and offer.

PS. From filling out I9 info to the actual call took four days.

Thanks for your response! Do you happen to know how much more a Tier 2 agent makes?

That's a tough one since most folks are pretty secretive about what they get paid. I can ask around but my only verifiable source was from an ex-Tier 2 Kelly employee that called in as a regular customer. She said she was getting $10 per hour and had no reason to lie.

I do know that if you are crossed-trained (e.g. iOS and CPU) you'll make more but if I had to guess I'd say T1 to T2 would vary between a $0 and $2.00 per hour bump.

Also, if you are currently part time and get chosen for T2 then chances are you'll go full time but beyond that I don't know of any bennies for sure. Most of the people I've run into at T2 don't know much more than anyone else (in some cases they're pretty clueless) but they had good stats and got bumped up.

Thanks for taking your time to answer my questions, I really appreciate it! It's crazy how much less Kelly employees get paid to do the same job! Do you know if the training duration and material is the same regardless of what product line you will be supporting? Do you know of any part time Tier 2 reps? Are you not permitted to do certain troubleshooting even if you know how to as a Tier 1 rep? If you work for some time but then can't offer to be available to work during all hours of operation are you definitely fired? Perhaps this is part of the reason for the large turnover rate? If you are tired of all my questions I understand. Thanks a million!

I just reapplied for the position in a different area and I noticed something different and the questionnaire before submitting my resume. It's of course the Standard can you meet our requirements Application but at the top of the page. I saw the following

AppleCare At-Home Advisor Assessment (with hours)

Is there something different here?

It would take quite a while to answer all of those questions but I will say that yes, Kelly pay basically sucks and 2. it's actually pretty hard to get fired unless you're absent from work too many times. You also have no choice but to work the schedule that you're assigned. When you sign up you're told quite a few times that you must be available from 7 AM to 11 PM CST.

There are a few things that are mandatory escalations but not many... 99.9% of the calls can be handled at T1 if the rep knows what he/she is doing.
