Training

I'm employed with Kelley as well. Tomorrow I have a Kelley phone/web orientation, then I'll have another one day orientation and then 4 weeks of training with the last week of training being nesting.

Well it was verified that my training is for one week as a Customer Director Representative. If anyone knows why that is different than the other positions, please let me know.

Hello everyone I have a few questions, I hope someone can answer. I had a phone interview with Kellyconnect this morning, at the end of the interview the women told me to look out of a few emails, one which would be my backround check along with information to fill out my i9 form at a location near me. During this interview she said I need to have high speed internet but NOT wireless, along with a landline that doesnt have caller ID or voicemail. Do they supply the phone and computers themselfs? I will have to get another phone because my landline has both ID and voicemail.. my compter is wireless internet so I will have to route it BUT will i get a different computer and phone from them in training? Thank you so much in advance!:)

for the computer ,yes they will provide you an imac and also i believe the phone system and headphone .

I just sent a follow up to my recruiter asking if taking the Kelly position will keep me from becoming an AHA in the future. Hopefully, I'll get a response with a definitive answer.

Yikes! I certainly didn't intend that post to come across to you or anyone that I am bitter or upset with any applicant that has been given the opportunity. I was upset that my best resume is saved on a PDF file after someone on here was kind enough to let me know that they had thought perhaps the likelihood of the scanning process to pick my resume up might be slim to none. That was the assumption I was going on as no one else at the time replied to that particular post and I had not seen a mention of PDF anywhere else on the thread. Now that I have heard differently, I am feeling much better about the situation.

I also do not think my qualifications are Superior but they are stellar in their own right. There are many here that have years of experience directly in the field where I do not. I know this. It is comforting to see Apple choosing a little of every background and I have posted before how happy I was for the younger generation that have been given this opportunity.

My apologies for coming off in a manner that would suggest anything otherwise.

----------

Very happy for you and your family ! What an amazing opportunity ! Apple must have seen something very special within you. You should be very proud of yourself :) What a bright future you have for yourself! I bet you will really go far with this company !

Rock on !

Sometimes it is just a matter of timing. I would apply to multiple locations. There is no distance restriction.

Yes, yes, I have done that as well but just a week ago thanks to other's advice on here. Thank you for the suggestion as I would not have thought of that nor known about the distance restriction being lifted until someone had suggested it earlier. This forum has been invaluable! <3

I am sure others will find this suggestion helpful as well. I am determined and will keep knocking on the door in any way possible. Opportunities such as this just aren't available in my neck of the woods. pop. 130. Was 131 until I got divorced :D :apple: :apple: :apple:

You mean you don't want all the angry customers and mandatory long calls? ^.~ CRAZY TALK AG!! <3

That's what angry gerbils do - talk crazy... It's more like chittering I guess.

I either have to wait a year to apply or get called up to the big leagues :)

We had 3 people get moved to T2 and they had 6 months in. Upward mobility depends as much on your manager as your stats. There isn't as much office politics when you do AHA but like many jobs, brown-nosing can be more effective than competency at times.

I've searched the thread and maybe missed it.... but I scheduled my 3rd interview a few days ago with my appleID, and the email prompting me to do so said after scheduling an interview I'd receive and "official application" within 24hours. I haven't gotten that "official application" yet, going on 3 days later.

Anyone experience the same delay in receiving the official app?

I didn't experience any delays at all, Maybe their just swamped right now with all of this. Don't lose faith, just keep yourself busy and be patient. It's been a week since my BGC was complete as of today, so i'm just waiting on my call or my "Thanks for playing BUT" email.

Have you tried going to your Apple profile to see if the application is available? They don't actually email the application, they just send you a link to go to your Apple profile and complete it there. Once you're signed in with your Apple ID, "My Application" is the third option on the left. If it's available, it will tell you when you click on it.

Kitty,

Yes I have, make sure you are actually scheduled. I scheduled a time did not receive an e-mail confirm, and no official application. I went back clicked the link to discover nothing was scheduled.. find that original email and click that link again, login and see if you are scheduled.. if not schedule again as the slots go quickly, hope that helps. :)

My Information
My Activity

Those are my only two options
"My information" is everything I loaded in (resume, work history, etc) when I first applied.
After picking a scheduled time, i received the auto confirm donotreply email instantly, no other email with a link to my profile.

Thanks but I am scheduled. When I first looked last Friday they had 0 slots. I checked again this Labor day and found many open slots. I am certainly scheduled under events.

If you get in through Kelly you only get 9.15 an hour. Which is pretty bad when my local walmart gives 9.50.

I really would rather have a tech support job though.

So does any one know if you can get raises through Kelly services?

I've been doing AHA for over 8 months and I'd much rather stock shelves for $9.50 an hour than do this for what Kelly pays. It's not really tech support, it's customer service and it can be tedious at best and grueling at worst. I really doubt Kelly has raises in place but they do have some type of performance bonus system... which you can use for your therapist bills since Kelly doesn't have medical.

If you haven't figured it out by now, I have very little respect for Kelly Services and their ilk.

Got the Call!!

Just to add to the excitement, I got my call today as well. Mine is for the 7/1 class. My timeline was..
4/27 - applied in one location
5/10 - applied to the 2nd location in my state
5/15 - got the initial call to set up first interview
5/17 - 1st interview - told I was being sent straight to final interview
5/22 - Final Interview (got background check email 1 hour later)
5/28 - Background check completed
5/29 - Got the call today at 2:22 PM offering me the position!

Not too bad. From the first call, the entire process took about 2 weeks. I am ridiculously excited as this is a dream come true and will allow me to finally be able to provide for my family again (and catch up on bills before we lose the house)

Good luck to everyone else. Calls will be coming soon I am sure!!!:D

Boy do some people say/ask some stupid stuff during training but I suppose there are always a few people like this in any type of class. Pretty amusing though!

What class are you in? I'm 5/20 CPU...first time checking in on the thread since I was hired. I was worried because they specifically addressed this website as one they frown upon on day 1, but it's not like I am using my real name...so...I figured what the heck, I'll check in.

To all potential employees I have to say training is great, I love my manager, my team, my trainers...they're all fantastic and understanding. However a bit of advice: The training timeline is strict and there really isn't any wiggle room. All training must be completed during work hours so be mindful especially when doing your self-led training!! There are people on my team complaining about now getting all the training done but they are chatting away in the team chat during the hours allotted for training...It doesn't take a genius to figure out why you are falling behind, especially when the time given is more than enough to finish everything.
